Hello,
I have bought a used Samsung Note 2 and I installed Android 4.3 from SamMobile, two weeks later, I started facing a slow-response problem where the devices gets too slow to respond.
Do I have to know what is my Samsung Note 2 country of origin in order to download the right firmware?
Thanks

Nope. Just make sure you download and install a ROM for your exact model, country is irrelevant though some 'other country' ROMs may have various bloatware specific to that country. So install a rooted ROM if desired, then u have control over everything.

My T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 was rooted by Odin, so the system said that the device has been modified, software updates are not available when I checked for the Software updates (for the new released multi-window feature, cool).
Is there anyway to get the device updated ? Thanks

There is a separate forum for t mobile note II. This is only for international versions
oh I didn't notice that, thanks.
Hi all, would anyone happen to know the eta on the kitkat update for the WiFi version of the galaxy note 8 in Australia? Mine is unbranded and purchased from Harvey Norman.
Did you check SamMobile? - I know the 5120 came out a few weeks ago.

Australia is usually left behind, and sometime wont ever see an update. Just Flash another regions firmware onto your device its simple, easy and painless.
I usually use the UK version:
http://samsung-updates.com/region/?region=BTU
I have flashed mine with Cyanogenmod , its now running 4.4.4 love it. I recommend if you going to upgrade to CyanogenMod is to install CWM, just incase something goes wrong.
Cyanogenmod: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=n5110
CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860
But i have also flashed prior to using CyanogenMod - the UK Version Firmware for Note 8 - did the Kitkat, did it to my Note 8 and also Samsung S4.
Simple really, download Odin flash it with the new firmware

Download triangle away from the play store and reset flash counter.
Fully unroot using Supersu. Then upgrade via software update or Kies.
Press thumps up if you found this suggestion helpful.

If your device is not carrier locked, you can install any version of firmware, also of another country (you can change language later). Do it via odin.
You can install a stock version or a modded one (Dn3, dr.ketan or other in this section).

If your phone includes two sims, it belongs to China region. It has to be Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Duos GT-N7102.
In that case, unfortunately, you can only upgrade to 4.3 official stock ROM.
There should be a 4.4.2 based ROM available. But my best guess is that it is in Chinese language. So don't know what to suggest.
If it is GT-N7100, you will be spoilt for choice.

Hi guys, I have Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P605. My one is most likely a Malaysian variant. Baseband version: P605XXUCOE1. I still haven't got the lollipop update on this variant. Now kinda planning to flash it with the Finland version. So I have some questions here before I do...
1. Will there be any sort of problem because of different baseband/ region?
2. Will I have to face any issue with knox or official OTA updates in future?
Thanks in advance.= :fingers-crossed:
I can only answer half of your questions, as my device is rooted, so i don't get official updates anyway. Flashing a different region firmware never caused me any troubles, not on my 10.1, or my Galaxy Note4, so it won't affect the functionality of your device.
As for Knox, it will trip Knox as you are flashing a kernel not for the same region...
It may just bootloop. Make sure you have a stock rom to go back to, mind you this may not work if the bootloader is upgraded to a newer version, say KK to L or L to MM....

Ya after first flash I went through bootloop, after the second one it was fine. Now enjoying Lollipop on my tablet.

Glad to know man, btw I am having only 1 problem that is it's not showing my operator's name on lock screen or in connection settings, instead it's showing the 5 digit number code of my operator. Thats not a major issue I guess, must be some conflict with regions.
Awful quiet around here guess everyone bought the tab s6!
I noticed an update available this August 2019. Has anyone flashed their tab s4 with Odin? And then rooted once again? I'm using a t835n and plan to get the t835 international version. But I want to be sure I can root after.
Another question - on sammobile they have so many different country options for the t835 international model. What is the actual difference? I use my device in USA so what would be the best version to flash so that I have the most bands for my carrier (TMobile). Or does flashing firmware not have the effect I am thinking on bands?
Thanks!

That's a very good question.
Are you on Oreo or Pie?
My guess, based on the rooting guides I've been reading is the one for the country that you bought the device from. I think you are on the Korean version, so I would think that would be the ideal update to use on the device and then just use it in English.
As for the S6, I'm inclined to buy another (3rd) S4 because the lack of the headphone jack is intolerable for me.
I will ask in the Note 9 forum, but do you happen to know the international version of the Note 9 that is the equivalent of the Korean 6GB Tab S4? They dropped the headphone jack on that one too. I use it to get radio on my phone.
So I rooted the Korean 6GB versions that was factory shipped with the most recent and up to date Oreo firmware and it rooted just fine. I'm missing a few apps but I'm not sure why that is (weird like missing email, internet, calculator, some google crap...). I'm trying to figure out why, but I NEVER let it connect to the internet for any reason yet. I sideloaded some of the apps and it seems fine. I'm going to check with my other Tab S4 6GB that is on the original stock firmware from the beginning to see if those apps were ever there in the first place tonight and post in the TWRP thread.
Root is fine. So I think you will be fine with the most recent firmware for Oreo. I suggest getting the Korean (region specific) firmware for your specific device.

It took me a little googling but it did turn up. Sammobile site didn't fine it for me, I had to google to get it, even thought it was still the samobile site where I found it. I didn't download any successfully yet.
