Nothing in Canada .... running OEM Generic .569..... OTA or PC
If anyone is interested:
Diff of old Generic DE 4.3 and the new Generic SG 10.4.1.B.0.101 system partition as HTML. If anyone wants a comma/tab separated list just ask, I'll have to find a hoster, it is too big for Pastebin.
edit: Diff of old 4.3 SG and new 4.3 SG
No guarantee for anything.
It figures that they'd finally release 569 for most of the remaining devices... and now they're starting a new round... at least Sony's still supporting us...

From what I understand, they've already discontinued this line of phones due to lack of adoption... While one does expect their fairly expensive gear to be supported for 18 month support window... I tend to expect the worst.

Sony announced they would be bringing 4.4 to the Z series, which includes the ZL. Timing is the only thing that hasn't been announced yet. Besides, the Z series as a whole is barely a year old as Sony showed it off at CES 2013.
Brazil - Generic_BR
I´m goona try to create its FTF and as soon as I create and upload it I´ll share its link!!
Wish me luck!!

the phone has got a price cut it bought it for 25k INR previously it was for 30k INR so people prefer this phone more than Z bcoz Z is still stuck at 32K INR(60inr=1$)
SO WE COULD EXPECT MORE FROM SONY
I hope this one rolls out quicker than the 1st 4.3... because many Z/ZL only got that one this week.

any news on this?
is this a sign that Kitkat roll out will be delay? coz rumor said Kitkat will roll out in March which is about 1 month from now. Why they release new version of JB if Kitkat is also about to release?

I don't think they will release in March as they just started the 4.4.2 build for Z1,Z1 Compact & Z Ultra with build 14.3.A.X.XXX and now there's a lot bug for this 4.4.2 firmware...
released build 101 for second Singapore si number!

We got insider information from our sources in Sony Mobile Communications that the Sony Xperia Sola and Xperia U will get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update despite Sony’s blog post from yesterday where there was no mention of them. We tell you more on the update schedule.
Sony Xperia 2012 Lineup Jelly Bean Upgrade
The Sony Xperia S was released as Sony’s flagship smartphone for early 2012. Packing a Snapdragon S3 chipset, the phone lagged behind competition which had already moved on to the faster Snapdragon S4 chipsets as well as the quad core nVidia Tegra 3 processors. However, the Xperia S held it’s own thanks to the brilliant 4.3″ HD Reality Display, the refreshing new design and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich themed by Sony’s improved Timescape UI, not to mention the 13 MP camera sensor at the back made the Xperia S quite popular among smartphone buyers.
Sony Xperia T/TX/V: The newest flagship Android smartphones from Sony, the Xperia T, TX and V pack the latest Snapdragon S4 chipset, HD displays and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to boot. These new models pack an improved design, which according to Sony has been designed keeping in mind how people use their smartphones in their daily life. These new phones back a sexy curved back, a new front design as well. The overall effect is that it leaves a person wanting that smartphone more and more. Job well done Sony. The Sony Xperia T/TX /V smartphones are scheduled to receive their Jelly Bean update by mid Q1 2013 (mid February).
The Sony Xperia S/Acro S/Ion smartphones are scheduled to receive their Jelly Bean update by end of October/early November 2012.
Sony Xperia P/U/Sola/Go: The remainder of the Xperia 2012 models also packed the same class and design as the Xperia S. The Xperia P and Xperia U have been a humongous success among the youth. Being light, sexy and fast, these smartphones have become a common sight these days. The Xperia Sola came in later with features like Floating Touch (use the display without even touching it) and the sturdy Xperia Go was introduced shortly after. The Xperia P received it’s ICS update about 2 months ago, while the U/Sola/Go had to wait till beginning of October to receive their updates.
The Sony Xperia P/U/Sola/Go smartphones are scheduled to receive their Jelly Bean update by early December 2012.
Well, that’s all the info we have for now. We can only pray all of our sources information is true and all these smartphones indeed receive their Jelly Bean updates, else Sony would be in line to lose some more customer loyalty.
And Now We Should Wait For Information From Sony Mobile!
People can go here for more details: http://www.techenclave.com/news/exclusive-sony-xperia-gosolapu-getting-jelly-bean-early-december-other-models-also-in-queue/533/
sorry i trust the official blog more than these rumors..
If you look @ Ion update to JB in general thread. There is an official announcement link. Only the latest phones as T, TX, V or later get JB in Q1 of 2013, all the 2012 devices will get JB but no time frame yet. None of the 2011 devices will upgrade to JB.

Update from Xperiablog.net: http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/10/22/could-some-xperia-jelly-bean-updates-arrive-before-the-end-of-the-year/
I really doubt that they would update the older 2012 devices before the newer ones. Not to mention the fact that Xperiablog points out that if they were going to update the older ones before the newer ones, they would have had said so at the annoucement instead of just saying "they will get it eventually...". While one can hope, I'm not holding my breath.

Not sure if this is the right forum as nobody has posted this information yet, however new phones are announced ahead of CES
You can find this info on google right now however rumored specs are:
- 5" 1080p S-LCD screen
- 1.5ghz quad core S4 Pro
- 2gb RAM
- Jellybean 4.1.1
- 13mp camera
- Adreno 320 GPU
- 16gb storage + expandable memory slot
What do you guys think? Are you excited for the new Sony superphones or are you going to get something else?
The hardware seems very similar to what the Droid DNA is currently offering, except these will have expandable memory which is a bonus.
If the batteries on these are either removable or much higher capacity then I'm in for sure.
5" is a litte too large. Good on the high end specs & launching with JB.

The actual phones are about the same size as the ion so the extra screen size doesn't make it all that much bigger of a device. Definitely not like the note.

Jelly Bean yes but JB part 1 which is really quite old now, should be JB part 2 (4.2.1) on a new phone that isn't even out yet.

Get a different phone and it starts the 30 days over so when the Z's come out exchange it again. At least I think it still works.
As for the new Z's man they look good. Funny to that people still gripe about 4.1 to 4.2. There is not even a real difference I thought?? Other than bug fixes?? Anyway I think this will be a great device and somehow I get the feeling Sony may have a few surprises up there sleeve. :good:
I would love one if I thought Sony would actually keep the UK SIM free ones up to date

What do you guys think about the XPERIA ZL's front camera position?
Is it any good/bad? Or even it's an odd placement?
(Just in case you haven't noticed,it's placed on lower right corner)
Yes.
JB update for P and Go is out now.
But the bad news is that we ( S. Sl, Ion, Acro S users) will get it at the end of May.
We’ve heard your questions and know you guys are keen to hear about updates for Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S – these smartphones are next in line to start receiving Sony’s Android 4.1 software from the end of May.

Today I'm gonna sell my XS and buy Nexus or LG 4Xhd. No more sh!tty sony.
Thanks Utsav911 for sharing the news here. Saw this earlier in SONY blog today.
Sometimes i get worried that, at the end SONY might declare, that due to some performance related issue Xperia S may not get JB update. lol
The same they did with Xperia Play and some other 2011 devices. I hope nothing like that will happen.
But the delay for SONY's Flagship Xperia S is now almost not bearable at all.
End of May means, many users will receive the update during late June, because of the region specific update schedule.
I mean the generic users who doesn't want to use the flashtools.
Also saw this news. I was like WTF?! at first but hey, look on the bright side. They always save the best for last so maybe they're trying all they can to bring us out the most of JB for xperia S.
Oh and btw, I've heard these kind of threads have already been not allowed here so it's just a matter of time before they close this. Thanks for the news though

I am sorry, SONY, but this is not good enough. Just for now I will keep my Xperia S but you have definitely lost me as a future customer of your mobile products. Same here. That's the reason I didn't yet update my S5. But I wouldn't mind playing around with LP a bit, even without Xposed. From what I've seen so far on other people's phones, I don't like it much, but I'd like to try it out on my own device. Too bad I can't afford to tinker with the S5, as it's my work phone...

First purported Z series screenshot:
XperiaBlog.net said:
The screenshot you see below is claimed to be the first showing Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on the original Xperia Z (C6603). It shows that the handset is running on the 3.4 kernel and with a build number starting with 10.6.A.0. This would fit given the currently released firmware with build 10.5.1.A.0.292 i.e. the move from 10.5 to 10.6. Obviously the screenshot could be a fake, but hopefully it indicates the Lollipop update for older Xperia Z series is just around the corner.

I see a lot post here about lolipop update. Here are my word. We have enoth ram, enoth fast procesor, good display. So we have all specs to support lolipop but we got big problem that is our kernel and our soruces general, those are sooo outdated. Is about 1 y and half from last kk sources with is a lot(like from sun to earth). Reason whay Im talking about it is manifacture need to use specific code bruch to build Android. Look here for more LINK. We shoud get it till august. :highfive::highfive:
We have a Qualcomm MSM8228 Snapdragon Chipset. There's no a single record about it on this site. We will not get an official Lollipop, I'm sure for now.

Hello, how about new firmware?;d Sth new? Newer TW would be perfect. I was watching this thread because I'm an owner of one s3 neo and I'm wondering if this update will arrive to Poland where I live? xD
New firmware is one big bag of nothing.
Just updates Google apps and everything else is just the same.
I guess this is samsungs way of saying: now you got your update, stop asking for more !!!
It's not even 4.4.4 it's the same Android version as before...
I guess this is it:
No lolipop on this device...
S4 Mini with dual core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 400 and 1.5 GB RAM will not recive Lollipop. If our S3 Neo use Quad Core, I don't think they will recive lollipop.
If you want tu use Lollipop, try CyanogenMod 12.1
waste of time...
i dont think they will release lollipop for our phone...
just go for mandzo its amazing !
No lolipop from samsung, they are updating just couple of device's, s3 was cancelled months ago. Samsung is not big fan of lolipop because of bad integration of tw, and they canceled lot of updates....
Google is one to blame, bad lolipop experience is keeping manufacturers from lolipop...
As for S3 neo, there is 0 remaining official updates.
Sad as it is, we just have to accept it...

LOL> . < New update is good much faster phones a lot fixes on sources. No new things just all bugs and performace inprovments :good:
what fixes are you talking about ?
Nothing was broken in order to be fixed..
I didn't experienced any bugs on stock firmware, and i didn't noticed any performance improvements o this ****y update.
I even started experiencing bugs with stock email client with "sign in error" every 2 hours...
This shouldn't be even called update, but more like gaps and samsung bloatware update...
