I absolutely love it. It looks great, it performs well and it's CHEAP. Oh, and it's a NEXUS!

Yes
Reduced weight and width are easier to hold
Increased resolution makes reading small text easier
32gb, wireless charging and HDMI out capabilities
Noticeably faster and more responsive
Screen is more fingerprint resistant
All in comparison to my old 16gb Nexus 7

You saved me some typing. ^
I'll also add, it fits nicely in the ol' pants pocket.
Love at first touch!
My first Nexus device and I'm really liking it do far. I must admit I do miss some of the functionality of Touch Wiz. But this tablet is a beast and a feast for the eyes. Really looking testing the multimedia capabilities of the tab.
Yep.
Nice price.
Looks cool.
Its google. It'll get updates as long as it can run them.
Dev support is likely to be off the hook until the next one is released if not longer.
No. Never with any device will I ever be satisfied because I love to tweak. I will always need just a few more MHz, or a touch faster I/O, or Tablet UI. But this is a Very nice tablet for it's form factor

You'll get plenty of tweaking opportunities soon if this is anything like the first generation.

Sorry to be a little off topic, but can someone give their personal opinion compared to the ipad3? I've been using the ipad3 for a while now and its very responsive in a lot of ways, especially when using chrome. My galaxy s4 seem a tad bit slower on the touch in chrome, so I'm hoping the nexus 7 would be as good as the ipad while using chrome or other browsers.

Hi Guys ,
Is it worth buying a samsung Nexus GT 9250 now . I love th phone due to certain reasons I could not buy it . I know Nexus 4 is out but buget is low . So should I buy i9250 or choose some other option.
Consider waiting for the Nexus 5 to come out. Then the N4 will be cheaper.

But that could take a long time.. Nothing is confirmed.. My phone still holds up and is very quick.. But the Galaxy Nexus is turning old. I don't think you can play games that will come out in a year.. But for the rest it'll do. It will hold up some time I think..

I'm debating a gpad 8.3 or a nexus 10. I was wondering if anyone had/has both and could tell me about performance.
Specifically the snapdragon 600 vs the exynos of the nexus 10.
I can get a used good nexus 10 on eBay for the same price as the gpad and trying to decide which.

G pad. It's the perfect size and it's really snappy. I returned my nexus 10 after a week because it was slow and to big. This was like a year ago. so the nexus 10 could be better now with updates but the g pad is about perfect.

I had nothing but problems with the Nexus 10. Granted, that was on 4.3. The GPU was the biggest handicap in the N10 coupled with the insanely high resolution. A lot of text heavy apps had really laggy scrolling and some games lagged.

I have both...Let me put it this way, I'd gladly sell you my Nexus 10 =)
But honestly it just comes down to size. The Nexus 10 is blazing fast for everything but gaming(not terrible at gaming either). I just like the LG G Pad form factor better.
Hi guys,
The title says it all! I currently have a Asus tf300t and it's absolutely terrible! The tegra 3 in it is extremely slow, I just hate it! I thought about buying the nexus 7(2013) is it still a good device or should I wait for the nexus 8?( rumours state that it will have a Intel CPU and a powervr GPU which doesn't really like) also I know that they will stop selling the nexus 7 sooner or later but I don't know when, anyone have an estimation? ( probably when nexus 8 releases)
Thanks,
Noahvt

The nexus 7 2013 is pretty much all google. I mean, it runs aosp, it has no Asus bloat and like all current nexus devices, it performs. It is very fast and easy to root. If you don't like bloat this is a good tablet for you.
In a nutshell, it is fast, runs a light ROM and kernel and has a big community. So yes you should buy one.
