Please help, I accidentally deleted system, firmware, data and sdcard and now stuck on bootlock keeps rebooting and possibly soft bricked?
Status: fastboot, unlocked, secureboot, CWRM recovery
I can still access fastboot, recovery and download mode. + I have backup on my desktop but I can't put it back - device not found - won't recognize usb storage, how can I adb push if device can't be detected?
Tried updating again with different firmwares but I always receive error phone disconnected etc, tried reattaching again still same problem persists.
Tried tinybin + lgnpst but I get error failed switching to diag mode, but I don't think I need to because I can access recovery mode and download mode anyway but I can't access internal sd card so I
I was trying to update the firmware but it wouldn't work, tried over 30 times... on different operating systems, windows 8, windows 7, and windows SP3 via virtual machines. tried kdz updater and uptest from flashtool with different kdz firmwares. so I tried doing a full factory reset, still wouldn't flash so I tried deleting the all mounted folders on CWRM recovery mode and now stuck on bootlock.
Possibly driver problems? I think I can push files with adb sideload but it can't detect my device or I'm doing it wrong... sorry I'm new to this adb thingy.
Anyone?
Many thanks for reading...

Yes, I can but it won't get detected... that's the main problem I can't restore the backup...
Change adb drivers and use latest twrp for adb sideload

Thanks, will try after I get home. You mean sideload twrp and not efs backup zip or recovery.img or boot.img. sorry again real new to this, never used adb or sideloading before.
Change ur recovery to twrp in fastboot.. use adb naked driver

hey I did what you told me to do, and TWRP now works. Now what? it says no OS installed on reboot menu. Removable disk is shown but cannot be accessed. What do I do now?? Thx again!
Recap, device now gets detected by adb and fastboot, but I don't think I can restore the backup I made using CWRM, and when I tried to make a backup using TWRP and then went to restore it shows nothing but if I check file manager it's there.
Partitions on TWRP
Boot 24MB
Recovery 24MB
System 34MB
Data 0MB
Cache 13MB
EFS 2MB
I have backup for CWRM 1.6GB in size with system.ext4, data.ext4, nandroid, recovery and boot img. SBF backup made from rom manager and efs backup.
What to do now?
adb push the 1.6GB backup then install CWRM then restore it?
flash custom rom like CM 10.2 - 4.3 and gapps 4.3?
I don' want to turn my soft brick into hard brick.

Yee because it is in CWM format that's why.. adb push the ur backup using twrp.. replace twrp with cwm and restore or if not just flash a stock modded rom.. CWM has issues with adb drivers.

hey, do you know where can I find the link to clockword mod recovery and not the rom manager? img or zip file? can't find it.
I tried flashing recovery-clockwork-swipe-6.0.4.3-mako and recovery-clockwork-swipe-6.0.4.6-hammerhead but it doesn't work... goes to bootlock so I flashed TWRP again...

Hey I tried some from android development subforum, still doesn't work its either stuck on google loading screen or bootlock so I can't use my CWMR backup. Tried like 5 different versions from different sources.
Tried installing CM + gapps but I keep getting "kernel crash error". It keeps crashing after 30 seconds or 3min but I managed to get it working nonetheless.
I used "cm-10.1.3-e975" and "pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130710-signed"
What exact version did you use? Any specific custom rom that would help me boot properly?
Yay! not soft bricked anymore just crashes a lot...
Finally fixed it. flashed CM 10.2 and gapps. only problem is I lost my imei and I have no modem and signal... To get my imei back, if I remember correctly I need to flash my efs backup? is it safe?
Do I need to flash both baseband or modem? which one? both and which is first??
Three files I found and saved just in case something like this happens...
cwm-lgog_f180l_modem.zip
F180L-Baseband.zip
F180LtoE975_BB.zip
ADB driver for lg optimus g
where can I get the ADB drivers? and where do I load them to the computer or phone? I cant access my internal storage...I've managed to restore my stock rom coming from KK carbon unofficial...but now my phone cant be acessessed.Help me sir, still a greenhorn in this

i cant get into fastboot mode as i follow this instruction press and hold volume down key and then press power key the screen flashes and shows Google then off again so i can't get into fast boot if im doing it right to flash the cwm to acces my backup
i can go to download mode
and push files through adb but don't have the right room.zip to flash in TWRP as i'm looking for it from last week till now i actually flashed the official kdz file through kdz flash tool and successful in it but it come to boot loop it starts the OS and as i get to home screen it automatically restart and this cycle goes on still battery drain off i tried to hard rest my phone but its not going to hard reset either so i again flash the tiny.bin and again in TWRP but don't know right thing to do i searched on internet and found this XDA and its great so i thought to share my problem here for help

Hello I recently messed up my phone trying to get a custom rom onto my phone. (It is a l710 model)
I can boot into Clockwork Recovery and ODIN just fine, but I phone won't start up.
I used GS3 toolkit to root phone and it all worked fine, but then used clockwork to install custom rom.
I want to recover my phone but the only rom on the internal SD is the one that doesn't work.
I have a Nandroid backup I made using the galaxy s3 toolkit, its on the computer and sd card.
However I cannot restore using toolkit since it just waits for the phone to be on and in usb debugging mode to continue
Recovery says "Couldn't open directory" "No files found" when trying to restore backup.
I would try puting another rom on an sd card but it only browses internal storage (internal sd).
I went to mount external sd but didnt seem to help
Not sure if ODIN can do anything...
Don't know what else to try

I tried that but my phone just flashes samsung then the samsung galaxy s III and then turns off (or at least it appears to be off).
Is there a way to restore Nandroid backups with odin?

You can get adb/the toolkit to see the phone. Go into the device manager while your phone is plugged in and booted to recovery. You should see a device with a ! next to it should be your phone. If you manually install the driver the toolkit will see it. Have the toolkin boot you into download mode. If you have recovery Odin mode should be okay, u sure ur holdin "vol down, home, pwr"?
Thanks for your time.
I managed to get it working.
What I did was
1. using odin, reflash the insecure boot thing.
2. reinstall the rom through recovery
3. factory reset
and then is wasnt stuck in a boot loop anymore
after that I could access internal storeage sd.
I had this same issue. After using ODIN Rom would hang on boot animation. Would never boot all the way and I gave it close to 45 minutes. I also found the only way to resolve this issue was doing a factory reset after flashing through ODIN. Im using Vzw model so I guess it is happening cross platforms.

its normal to get this message when you try to boot into twrp http://i42.tinypic.com/5n7psj.jpg, it just means that loki is working. What do you mean your tablet doesnt boot anymore? You d better ask for help in twrp's thread, drgravy who ported twrp for gpad is very helpful.
No I have not tried to factory reset the device. I don't even know how to do it, i guess through LG PC TOOL. I would love to avoid becasue of some stored photos.
"Doesn't boot" - it means that after turning on, apears LG logo, and then the ifno about this error and it automaticly turns to recovery.
I assume you have non stock recovery. Do a search the in the forum. It is finicky and took me 3 tries but then was able to boot into recovery. From there did a factory reset and was able to boot up. Still got that same message during the first 3 seconds of the boot screen but then it switched to the Google kit Kat screen and boot completed.

Did you flash a custom rom? Also which version of twrp did you install? 2.6.3.0 doesnt work normally, you need 2.6.3.1 or 2.6.3.2.To flash back to stock there are 2 ways, easiest is the lg mobile support tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590185), you cant flash the stock from recovery or adb atm.

I havent used this feature in the gpad but it should work if you ever need to restore your tablet to a previous state. Take in mind though that this backup isnt stock as you had rooted your tablet in order to install twrp. To flash back to full stock (recovery, rom and even kernel if you had changed it) you have to use a method like lg mobile support tool.
Hello everyone!
I suspect that my N7(2013) bricked itself overnight. Before going to sleep, I was watching videos on YouTube. If I remember correctly it was around 45% of battery left. I just put it to sleep as usually, and gone to sleep. In the morning it was dead, so I plugged it to charger and left it that way. After an hour, when I came back I turned it on. It showed the google screen and I put it down. After a while I noticed, that it's still on google logo. I decided to hold the power button so it could reboot. After a reboot, nothing has changed. Next idea I came up with was to enter the bootloader. Tablet booted to bootloader normally and then:
-Start option hangs on google logo
-power off works just fine
-reboot bootloader also works
-recovery mode hangs indefinitely on TeamWin logo.
By now, I have no idea what to do with it. The point is would like to save my data. Is there anything that could be done?

Sound like pretty much your only option is to flash a factory image thru fastboot, you can download them from here
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#razor
Make sure your boot loader is unlocked
Boot the tablet in to fastboot and run the flash-all.bat file if your using windows, of flash-all.sh for Mac and Linux.you should now have a stock tablet, with the stock recovery, I would also perform a factory data reset thru the stock recovery before rebooting the tablet.
If you would rather use a toolkit, wugs fresh is a good toolkit, and should be able to automate the above steps.
http://www.wugfresh.com
I should also point out that you need to have the proper driver's installed on your PC wugs fresh should guide you thru the process, if you don't already have them installed
I forgot to mention: Yes my bl is unlocked, but doesn't flashing factory image wipe all data? I have one more question: On my PC xperia fastboot drivers are installed. Can I use them, or do I have to install some other drivers? Fastboot recognizes device but I want to be sure.

If it is recognize in fastboot you should be good to go, and yes it will wipe you data unfortunately if you can't enter recovery, there's not much that can be done. I have never been in this situation myself, and maybe someone with more experience than I will have a solution, such as reformatting your partitions thru fastboot, but as I said I've never found myself in this situation, and if it were me I would just flash back to stock, if you happen to have a backup on your PC, you can reinstall your recovery, and restore your backup, anything else is above my understanding of this, or is not possible.
All backups are on tablet both titanium and TWRP. I just wanted to know if it's possible to recover it. I'll try to flash everything w/out wiping data. I think there was such option in wugfresh's toolkit. Maybe it's just one partition that's broken. But I've got feeling like it's going to be data partition that's broken. Thanks for help anyway. I'll try that tomorrow, because it's late night now.

Just Swipe to factory reset in TWRP (leaves data in tact) and flash your Nandroid. Then reboot into system. You can adb sideload onto TWRP from your computer as well. This requires adb not fastboot.

There is a file called flash-all in the factory images, open it and remove the -w from the command line, that is what wipes the data.

I believe he cannot boot into recovery, so he cannot simply factory reset, no? I also thought that to use the adb side load feature, you had to be able to access twrp advanced>adb Sideload and that's for installing zips, no? I was thinking maybe he could adb pull a backup from the device, then install factory image, flash twrp, then restore from there? Or maybe simply reflashing the recovery? (I personally wasn't going to recommend any of this, since I don't have any personal experience in the situation) Maybe I'm missing something? or maybe I'm just an idiot, and I'm in over my head, and I need to read into things more before I post? feel free to tell me so. I'm always trying to learn about anything I can, and someone with more experience setting me straight is always a good way to achieve this lol. I like mpdamaged idea, but isn't that pretty much a dirty flash, and carries some inherent risks, seeing as how he's using xposed, I know it doesn't make any permanent changes to your system, but wouldn't this be the same concept as accepting an ota, in witch case you would need to first remove the xposed framework? Anyway hopefully someone can fill me in and he fixes his tablet, and I learn something lol.

This. You can flash a factory image without data getting cleared and it's a very simple mod. Alternative is to extract the factory image until U have all .img files extracted (have to extract twice if I remember right) then u can fastboot flash system.img and boot.img only and that should work
Another thing, have you tried to reflash TWRP since it stopped working? Could just be corrupted and a reflash could fix it.

Don't know if you figured out how to save your data before flashing factory image but there is a very easy way to save your Titanium Backups and TWRP backups,
Plug your Nexus 7 into your computer and using MTP (assuming that still works) and look for the TB and TWRP files you can copy them to your computer and once you get your N7 back working just copy the files back to your N 7 and all your backups will be there for you to use. You can even open the files and save just what is important or save everything.
Yes I know that, but as I said tablet is totally unconnectable via adb. Can't boot to Android and can't boot to recovery. By the way I realized that when I hotbooted stock kernel from fastboot it froze on the bootloader screen but I left it plugged to PC and after a while my PC recognized "unknown MTP device" but couldn't find any drivers for it. If I hotboot TWRP.img is it gonna boot to recovery or it doesn't work like that?

Yeah, it would come up pretty quick. Something's not right...try an older version to rule that out, I know 2.6.3 worked for me using fastboot boot.

This one worked for me until I figured out how to do it right but must be with PTP not MTP: http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/UniversalAdbDriverSetup6.msi

Hi guys I am trying to get my phone in some sort of working order. I have CWM Recovery 6.0.5.1 for some reason no matter what I do to change the recovery it stays the same. I've tried installing lower CWM and also tried installing TWRP which again it says it was installed but when i go to recovery it still shows the CWM recovery. I installed CM11 and it worked fine, when I installed gapps is when the problems started. I've tried install multiple roms now, and it just doesn't want to take anything

try restoring a stock nandroid backup. if you dont have one then download one from general thread. and also make a nandroid backup of your current rom. not so sure what your problem is but maybe returning to pure stock will help.
I am trying to load the nandroid but I cannot get this recovery to work right. I've tried installing openrecovery-twrp to install the nandroid but i cant get the CWM to remove. I really dont mind what bootloader is on there but anything just to install any rom

Install/flash via fastboot the official cwm 6.0.51 that you had. then try again. if your lucky then it might work.

Get TWRP Manager from the play store. Hit the three line menu thingy on the top left of the app, and pick install TWRP. Super easy.
Ok guys ive tried reinstalling the same CWM version and reinstalling CM11 with no luck. I cannot change the bootloader to TWRP because it appears to be stuck on the CWM. The problem started for me when I installed the gapps through CWM, as soon as I did that when the phone went to boot it now says please enter the password for android, then says it was the right password but data is corrupt and cant use phone.
Is there a way to attempt to just format the entire phone including partition size and start from scratch again?

How are you trying to flash these recoveries (they're not called bootloaders, that is something totally separate)?
Have you tried using TWRP Manager as I suggested earlier, or are you using ADB? And If you are using ADB and trying to flash it that way, what fastboot commands are you giving?
There is no way that your should be "stuck" with CWM.
Okay what i have to do is fastboot its the only thing i can get to work. Not at my computer but yeah i fastboot the recovery img via cmd in windows. Fastboot flash recovey i use ane it successfully does. Doesnt matter what img or recovery i use when i boot into recovery it still uses cwm. Also only way i can put a rom on is adb sideload but now thats even failing with status 7 error
Also when i try the command fastboot oemRUU or whatever the command is it reboots the phone shows CM logo and boots till asking for android pw

The status 7 error is because of an outdated recovery. Not much help, I know.
It's strange that the TWRP Manager doesn't work. I've helped others with problems flashing recovery, and it has worked for them.
You could also try ROM Toolbox to update your CWM, or ROM Manager, but ROM Toolbox is better/more complete. It has everything ROM Manager has plus some.
The other option that you may not want to take is to do a COMPLETE wipe of your phone. That always sucks.
Going to try those programs. Thank you btw and how do i perform the full wipe i was about to throw the phone out lol.
@thetinyjesus You could also try this app. No PC necessary.
Thanks but cannot use the app i cannot get the phone to boot. Do you have directions for a full wipe

Actually, you full wipe in recovery. lol
If you haven't tried TWRP Manager yet, that would be my first choice.
Damn that didnt work than i tried all those format options in the bunked recovery with no luck it sucks
If you're using the command prompt to flash the recovery, provide a screenshot of your desktop so that we can see what you're doing and what "it's" doing.
Starting to think that it's more of an "operator" fault and not anything to do with the device that doesn't want to play along.
Okay once im back home ill show the output
Here is the output from flashing the recovery. Once again when I went to recovery it loaded with CWM.
Also here is the output from sideloading the cm file again (same error no matter what rom I try)
Windows CMD: C:\Users\Jimmy\Desktop\platform-tool>adb sideload cm.zip
sending: 'cm.zip' 100%
Phone: Installing update...
set_perm_recursive: "/system" not a valid uid
E: Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
Anyone?
Hi hoping someone can help, I accidentally wrote the wrong file to my system partition and am stuck at smartwatch 3 logo.
i tried pc companion and it tells be there "no software available for my device" all i can get to is fastboot mode stock recovery is gone too
I wrote twrp to it but as of yet have not been able to launch it. its running 5.1.1 os and i cant remember build number other than it began with an L
Please help
ZR1
if you read this and know i have no hope please let me know that too please
seems like if i had stock partitions images i could flash using adb i"d be good yes?? no?
I do not have time to help right now, but since you can get to fastboot, you are probably fine. Find the stock 5.1.1 recovery and boot to it. Then sideload the latest update. You will be good to go.
The command in a terminal window is...
Code:
Fastboot boot <stock recovery.img>
Alternatively, you can boot to twrp and install a twrp flushable zip.
Good luck.
Lekofraggle thank you for your help.
I did what you said with img file from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...50-version-t2988087/post62897403#post62897403
it wrote the img file but still just hangs at boot image, and i still cant get twrp to work after holding power button and choosing recovery option screen goes blank and then starts to boot and hangs at smartwatch 3 image
all the things i"ve rooted before in my life i"ve never screwed up this bad.

Have you tried Sony Companion to repair your watch?
If you were running 5.1.1, then the recovery you mention is for 5.0.1, so that might be the reason why you can not boot into it. See if you can find the stock recovery for 5.1.1
I have used the following method a couple of times now to get me out of trouble after playing around with my SW3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch-3/general/guide-roll-watch-to-previous-software-t3176801
You can then use the stock recovery you already have and update via OTA files to get it back to the latest firmware or via Sony Companion.
I had the exact same issue after I did fastboot flash using corrupt system.img (which wasn't a snapshot that could be flashed but rather a tarball). Since you have TWRP installed you can confirm this by trying to mount system partition in recovery mode. After it fails, connect to recovery via adb and view latest kernel messages (dmesg). It should show something like "failed to locate ext4 filesystem".
If this is your case, you can use TWRP restore function to restore system from your TWRP backup. It will then erase the partition, mkfs.ext4 and write the files from tarball. This did the trick for me.
(If you don't have backup, try looking for downloads in other threads here)
Edit: Re-read your post. Since your TWRP is broken, try hotbooting it using fastboot boot new_boot.img (you can take it here)
ebones thank you thank you thank you
I had downloaded new_boot img already so im not sure what i was doing wrong but i did what you said and she booted right into TWRP i now have to sideload the right update.zip file and run it in twrp correct?
edit; having trouble sideloading wear-supersu.zip what is the correct command?
GOT IT!!! I installed stock rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...rom-repacked-stock-rom-swr50-version-t2988087 through TWRP and it works cant thank you guys enough
Thanks ZR1
