[Q] Music fx stops when notification comes in / disable shutter sound - LG Optimus G Pro

Hi I have a LG GK(f220k), which is actually a korean version of G pro, I have installed a custom music fx ported from Vega R3, it works fine with poweramp and the google play music, but the problem is, it occassionally stops the effect when notification comes in such as whatsapp or ringer, and I need to enable it again by reclicking the music fx button in poweramp, then it works fine again. Sometimes it stops when I listen for long time too, i mean playing music for few hours, then suddenly I need to reclick music fx button and fix it, can anyone tell me the reason? Actually I had a g pro before and it has the same problem, I know it may be related to the compatibility. And i am thinking it might be resolved if I try to integrate the custom music fx into the system or bypass the original audio processing path by using root explorer.....such as changing lib. Thanks PS, anyone can tell me how to disable the stock camera shutter?

Bluetooth - PowerAMP Vs. Default Player - FIGHT!

So been using PowerAMP for music, which has been great. I only have one issue currently. I have bluetooth headphones connected, manually launch PowerAMP, audio works great, however if I hit "Skip" on the headset the default music player starts to play and PowerAMP pauses. Even if PowerAMP is in the foreground this happens.
In PowerAMP I saw an option to allow you to control with the headset controls, which I have enabled, and saw an option to up the priority of PowerAMPs headset controls so it would override other apps( theoretically anyways ). However it still launches the default music app.
I haven't seen any options in the default music app that allows you to change the bluetooth setting, and I have PowerAMP as the default app for music.
Am I missing anything here? Anyone else have this issue or is it just me? Couldn't find anything Googling around.
+1 for making a reference to a video game from the 90's! I loved Mortal Kombat!
Not that I have any suggestions, but what ROM are you running? I'm currently on Caulkin's E4GT EL29 ROM, using PowerAmp and a bluetooth headset but I'm not having any problems with the default music player...

I was on that same ROM Caulkins, and still had this problem. Last night I flashed Blazer 3.8 and then restored apps and system data with Titanium( System data restoring may have re-caused this issue, not sure, didn't test before the restore ) and I'm -still- having this problem. Annoying as hell, lol.
never had such problem, except once... and at which time I used Titanium Backup to delete the stock music app. problem solved, stock music sucks anyways.
If you dont want to fully delete the file you could always freeze the stock music app.

Same: Rooted; used SystemAppRemover to yank stock music app. Should be universal solve for any ROM. However, yes there are many other apps to remove stock apps

This. I also have poweramp and have not ran into this issue. Now, I did have to remove the stock player from my EVO for the same reason but this situation has never happened on my E4GT currently on this same ROM.
Have you tried to change the defaults? There is a program on the market called Default App Manager that would allow you to change all 'associations' to poweramp.
Note: Back when I had the EVO, I found myself being unable to launch poweramp when I clicked on a music file from a file manager, the phone would display a 'not valid file' error even though I was able to play the file fine using poweramp's library. The only way to fix it was to restore the stock player and then any file that was 'tapped' would launch properly using the stock player.

[Q] in-app equalizer turns off? spotify/google all access

Streaming music apps like spotify/ google music have in app equalizers that really make a difference, hence I use them. But every so often the equalizer turns off by itself reverting back to a loud/flat sound. But as soon as you go to check the equalizer, it says it is still on and the sound reverts to your settings in the equalizer.
Has anyone else encountered this?

[Q] Please Help me guys!!

Hi!, I had a serious nerve racking problem with Samsung Galaxy W since I flashed it with another official stock ROM in which I got much more languages including the french one. But the problem is that when the earphone is plugged in to listen to my music, it starts switching the soundtrack I am playing to another one that I wasn't playing, it even stops playing :'( . And it's the same **** everytime I want to play my music from the default music player or the one installed like Poweramp. So please help me to fix this!. Even when I wanna listen to my FM radio it shuts down by itself and I could hear some weird beeps from my earphone. The Autostarts apps won't solve at all my problem! :'(

I am not sure about the default music player, but poweramp has a feature like the one you described. When you plug in the headphone, it resumes playing. (An autostart musicplayer feature). Check the settings under poweramp player and hopefully you will see that option somewhere. I am not using poweramp so I can't tell you where exactly that option would be.
The other issues you desribe, I don't know. It may have something to do with the conflict between poweramp and FM radio... Maybe. I am not sure. See what happens when you disable the option I described above.
The stock rom don't have a FM radio app, so use Spirit FM, search the apk and download it.
And this problem happens with me too, but only sometimes. When I'm using a Bluetooth headset, no problems, but when I use a normal earphone, some lags occur.

Okay thanks for your help but now the problem is solved after disabling the "media button pressed" event's from the pre installed music player and many other apps running on your Android's system. It requires root access to be allowed "Autostarts.apk". Anybody else having the issue could use this app to fix it!

[Q] G4 sound quality

I just came from an s4 to a g4 and the sound quality of my music isn't as good as my previous phone. I use spotify and I noticed lg doesn't have an equalizer built in to the app like samsung does. So now my music sounds flat, and when I use 3rd party equalizers they fail when the app closes or even if I skip a song. So every time I skip a song I have to open the app again which is very annoying. Is there any way around this? Music quality is very important to me and my s4 was fine without any of this hassle.
simply try to install the following apk from the one plus one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/cyanogenmod-audio-fx-t3115358
It should work flawlessly
I tried that and whenever I try to open it says 'unfortunately, audio fx has stopped'. I can't even open it
Instresting, it shouldn't differ from Phone to Phone if its Spotify as its built for android, I use the Built in Music app which has a equalzer setup for their headphones
This is why I can't wait til we get root. I miss Viper4Android

Android DSP question.

Ever since I started using android, my choice for a DSP unit was Noozxoide EIZO-rewire™ PRO. Apparently, since the last update, the software is no longer usable. Lowering the volume only inserts a crappy stuttering sound. Since that app is old (but gold) and not updated, It seems it's finally time to move on. So, what are your takes on DSPs on Android Pie?
I need a module that does not require root or other methods of tampering with the system.
I need a module with profiles for each and every sound output (internal, jack and wireless).
I need it to auto-start on boot and work in the background without needing to set it up, or start it every time I want to use the music player or other media software.
The app mentioned above did everything I needed.
Thank you!
I'm afraid, there are no other rootless solutions for Android 8+. At least I don't know of any working one.

I tried the basic debugging solution... Idk what happened during the update but here goes my log:
>test game - volume slider working
>test youtube - volume slider working
>test sony music - volume slider creates audio glitching
>test google music - volume slider creates audio glitching
>force stop audio engine
>test sony music - volume slider creates audio glitching
>test google music - volume slider working
>force stop sony music
>test sony music - volume slider working
>reboot
>volume slider working globally
So that old but gold engine is still up for the task... Problem fixed,
UPDATE 2: problem occurring after system-wide back-up using the google back-up option. It seems it tampers with the normal operation of the integrated audio API. So, after a full back-up, a reboot and/or force restart of the DSP engine is needed. Also, sometimes after a reboot, the system is not operational again, then, the only fix is force stopping and restarting the process for the audio processor.
Will still keep an eye on the thread, maybe there are rootless solutions that could still work...
UPDATE 3. The problems persisted so I tried to access the Noozxoide EIZO-rewire™ PRO control panel from the music app (Sony Music Port - lastest version) and surprise, there was a new basic equalizer there that I never installed. It seems that Xiaomi pushed a new equalizer system to our phones that was interfering with my processor. I checked the system apps and found a new MusicFX app there. I disabled it and it seems everything is now working as intended.
The point is that for the past few days I tried to find an app that could replace EIZO, and no luck. There is no rootless system audio processor available, except those crappy riced apps from the store. So, if you want to get the most out of your audio, the solution was now found. This rootless mod almost gives you the sound quality you'll get from an iPhone 6s (mono speaker) and great sound from headphones/wireless devices.
