[Q] icon bubbles indicators - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Is it normal not to have bubble indicator numbers in my nexus 7 icons ?
Steve

Can you explain what you mean by "bubble indicator numbers"?

Hello,
On the relevent icons(for example email) there is normally a small number to indicate how many emails are unread. The number is relevant to the icon that its on. I don't seem to have this on my nexus 7, but am sure it did have.
Sorry to call it bubble, but that's what its called on iOS and I don't know the android equivalent.

Changing the today tray icons size - any tweak to do it?

I've noticed that modern HTC devices have large icons in today icon tray (thats tray in the bottom of today screen that displays various app icons in WM5 devices - wifi, bt status, etc).
I am wondering is there any tweak to adjust tray icon size in the registry?
Or HTC uses the custom-made shell application for it?
maybe you should show a picture
most of what is displayed on the today item of
devices is pretty much 3th party today items
Yes, the exact applications that make the icons is 3rd party.
Hovewer the whole "icon tray" is standard WM5 thing.
For instance, you can run XCPUScalar or PocketPlus - and they will put own icons there.

Remove missed call/text icon??

Hi,
I recently purchased SPB Phone suite software which displays an Icon on the desk top if I have a missed call or text message. I no longer need the Orbit to also display missed call/text icons on the task bar. How would I go around removing the additional task bar icons.
Please can someone explain this to me in a "step by step way"........I have had many one line answers however, due to a real lack of knowledge I seem to fall a the first hurdle!!!!!
Please help
Cheers
Rob.

Voicemail /Answer phone Message - Same thing
im sorry... but this has been the default voicemail icon since.... the 80's..... how can ppl not know this. Im not picking on the poster. I seen this question at least 10 times the past 2 days
Actually, I think that's the default voice mail icon for EVERY cellphone ever made! LOL
(which its' probably why they didn't feel the need to include in on the "icon cheat sheet")
Wow, I guess my questions aren't as bad as i thought.
You got voice mail, if not try call yourself from other phone and leave once, and check icon.
Is similar to the glasses of my grandmother.

[Q] Notification widget?

First I must apologize for:
1 - Poor english: as I "learned" english with video games, music, movies...
2 - I'm totaly "noob". Sorry if the question already exist and/or the post is in the wrong section.
That said:
I'm trying to make a notification widget that look slightly like the Apex Notifier.
Problem is: I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT! (Again, sorry!!!!)
To have an idea of what I thought, I have attached a picture that I edited with photoshop by the final concept I want.
The green line will show Whatsapp notifications, the blue one for Facebook Messenger, the white one from SMS, and so on.
Now, I got 2 problems:
1 - I don't know how to create a counter for the apps;
2 - I don't know how to make the line (and later, the notifications) invisible.
I saw a widget some day close to this ideia, some guy created a battery icon and the background change the color depending on the battery charge. I tried to understand the variables he used but it was in vain.
If someone can just explain it ou point me to some tutorial where I can get an idea of how it works, i'd be very grateful. =)

OneUI 3.1 customization (maybe with Hex/GoodLock/Magisk/Xposed?)

I have updated S20+ to OneUI 3.1 but some changes after v2.5 are making me upset, although they are just minor quirks. These bother me the most:
Quick toggles in header - In Hex, I could change their count before, on OneUI 3.1 I cant, only the full sice tiles. I know I could use apps like PowerShade and it is possible to change how many of them are shown through ADB but this doesn't work on Samsung. Have anyone found some solution?
How to open popup windows from notification - In goodlock, there was a module called Quickstar, that could add a button which could open app in a popup window. On Android 11, I could hold the notification icon to act similarily, but this option does not work for every notification. Is there any rule, when is it possible and when not?
Transparent background in notification header - Behind the quick tiles, there's a translucent background. It looks really strange, when notifications have coloured background but their header does not. And Hex is no more helpful here.
Notification grouping - any idea, how to get rid of the useless headlines of notifications, like conversations, alerting notifications etc.? I can tell from the content, what kind of notification I'm looking at
Yep, I know that the best solution for me is to stay on OneUI 2.5, but the wireless Dex is tempting and security updates don't hurt either. Any advices will be greatly appritiated!
