I am on the newest nightly build 2-3-14. I have looked all over the settings, how can I get the weather app on the lock screen? Thanks for any help that may be given on this matter.

If I'm not mistaken I don't think it has been included yet , many of the features that are shown on the carbon site arent inluded yet , its still a work in progress
edit: The only way I can think of you having the weather on the lockscreen is to enable widgets in Menu>Security> widgets and then adding your choice of weather widgets

Hi Folks,
I own a Wildfire S with the new Update and new Lockscreen (Ring-method).Thats fine so far. But the Lockscreen looks very empty. Is there a way to get more infos like weather, Appointments, mails or something else on the Lockscreen without rooting or any other deeper Hack?
And by the way: I find the Android-Homescreen is not used cleverly. There is to much space between the Apps or Widgets. Is there a way to get them closer, so more widgets and apps can be applied on the Homescreen?
Thx so far for your replies

First questions answer is no, can't be done.
Second is download something like ADW.Launcher from the android market Google Play Store (man I hate that name) and set the rows and columns to 5x5.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using xda premium
How did you get the new lockscreen with the ring?

I'm after the news & weather app from stock, since i have installed gin2jb i havent been able to use it as it doesnt come preinstalled.
does anyone know where i can find it and if it will even work?
It should work in all versions of Android. Look for GenieWidget.apk.

Hi there!
i remade the clock widget of jellybean 4.2!
i used the official images
and its ready to download from the playstore!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...WluLkplbGx5bmV3LldpZGdldHMuQW5hbG9nQ2xvY2siXQ
hope you like it!
FAQ
why wont the widget open my clock/alarm app?
the reason is because i programmed the widget to open com.android.deskclock
so if your running a rom other then AOSP this might not work for you!
the widget wont show up in my app drawer
if you run android 4.0 or higher it should pop up in the widgets section(if u use stock launcher)
if not please reboot en look again
running android 1.5/2.3
hold your desktop till the menu pops up then selecht widgets and find the clock
if the clock is not listed please reboot
if there are bugs or problems please contact me

But in case you don't see my comment in Play market, I find it can't open clock app of Defy running stock Gingerbread. Would you please fix it in further updates? Many thanks.

Many Thanks for the app... working fine and smooth . . .
Im looking for a few features on my lockscreen that dont appear to be possible with stock att galaxy.
I would like to get more than 4 shortcut apps on the lockscreen.
I would also like an email widget and calendar widget, maybe something similar to the news widget for the jb lockscreen.
Possible?

Not without your own personal modding, or flashing something else that has it...
Widget Locker will let you place sliders, widgets, and shortcuts on your lockscreen. I've never tried it with a stock ROM, but see no reason it shouldn't work.
You can find it in the Play store.

Excellent 1st post... You get a thanks...
Yep, Widget Locker will do a lot of what you're looking for. One tip, go into your lock screen settings (in your phone settings, not in WL settings) and set it to none once you've activated WL. This will keep the odd times when your stock lock screen might appear after unlocking via WL.
I have installed the Xperia-Z-ized™ v3.4 ROM by Amnix. It is indeed a very good ROM. Better to say best. I have been using it without any lags. But the only thing I can't change is the weather and schedule widget in the lock screen. As a result the time is not visible which is being covered by the widget. I searched a lot for the settings to change it, but I could not find. Can any one help me with the same how to remove it? And also how to change themes in this ROM as 3 more ROMS were said to be provided by the developer. Thanks in advance.
