[ROM] [4.4.2] [XenonHD - Unofficial][geespr-mako source] [03-15-14] - Sprint LG Optimus G

XenonHD is a custom firmware aka ROM for various Android devices. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with additional features, performance and battery life improvements.
The idea behind XenonHD is to give users a ROM that is "blazing fast, rock stable and buttery smooth".
Base : KitKat 4.4.2 : FULL AOSP BASE FROM SOURCE.
It's Rockstable,Blazing fast.
and now Buttery Smooth too!
XenonHD Official Site
This rom is build from source. I used geespr sources (Mako sources) to get our device working (thanks Xboxfanj). I take no responsibility for your device if you somehow brick the device flashing the rom.
I flashed it this morning and so far so good. I have yet to come across any issues.
Onto the goodness.
Instructions
Backup your apps (Titanium Backup)
Make nandroid
Wipe/factory reset (Don't wipe internal sd)
Flash Rom
Flash GApps
Flash Kernel (xb-kb18 or f93 otherwise Wifi doesn't connect)
Reboot (if Superuser isn't built in or you don't have root, reboot into recovery and flash SuperSu)
If it fails to flash, try using this twrp recovery: twrp-geespr recovery

Feature request! Could you add in the lockclock.apk to your zip? I've manually added it to mine, but that's a must have feature for me. I love cLock.
I've just booted this thing up. She sure is fast! I'll run it for a few hours and report back. Thanks again for this ROM dude!

Strange.
Flashing failed for me:
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
Error executing updater binary in zip
Coming from Optimus_DE V5 ROM which is an optimized stock ZVC.

Try updating the twrp version.. If it's failing chances are it's based off mako sources

I already mentioned in the OP about it being geespr.
Anyway, I've changed the thread title to reflect it's using mako sources and highlighted the geespr part in the OP.
Thanks
edit: Added the twrp-geespr recovery that'll allow you to flash the rom successfully.

I'm not sure why that would be. I was able to get it to show up on my laptop. While being plugged in to computer, try going into settings> storage > menu > USB computer connection and just check/uncheck MTP few times.

Try reinstalling the device usb drivers.
I don't have a solution for it. Un-installing and re-installing the drivers might fix it.

OpenPDroid is a set of modifications to the Android framework and libraries which allows fine-tuning of the data which applications are able to retrieve about your device, your account, your messages, and more. Specifically, it is a Privacy service provider. In short by installing a mod in recovery that modifies a few key files from my ROM you can then install a program from Playstore called PDroid Manager that will allow what information any application can access. GPS, Phone Number, pretty much anything.
Install Instructions for OpenPDroid
*Download the install (update) file to your internal storage
*Reboot and goto recovery
*Install JellyBeer-v4.32-07072013-134012-hikari-openpdroid-20130707-update
*Go to Playstore and download PDroid Manager to access security settings.
Install file here
Uninstall file here
Pdroid Manager from here to control the per app options.

Yeah, I found that. But I cannot find if it comes up as Music Effects in Settings so can apply to system wide audio. Or Bluetooth Audio. Many of these are hedaphones based, so just asking ???
When incorporated into kernel it affects all system wide audio, as far as I know.
I will give it a try !!
Thanks !

[ROMs][GEE][GEEB] Smorgasbord of ROMs and Kernels - Updated 10-23-2014

THIS IS ALL FOR KITKAT, I AM TOO LAZY TO UPDATE THIS SO IF SOMEONE CAN DO IT FOR THE COMMUNITY THAT WOULD BE GR8
This is a playground/playplace of sorts with all kinds of ROMs, such as PSX and RastaKat. I do take requests as far as which ROMs to build or features for the kernel/device-specific repos, however, my goal is to stay as true as possible to the upstream ROM, so most ROM feature requests will be denied.
Camera Autofocus Fix: (Thanks to houst0nn for fix, thanks to jblazea50 for the video)

Necessary Files:
Banks Gapps

SuperSu - Some ROMs may have this, if TWRP asks if you want to flash supersu when you try to boot, flash this.

PLSX Final GEE sources (geespr/geehrc compatible)
psx_gee_light_2014-02-21
PSX Fat Lady
psx_gee_2014-02-24

Here is a list of all known AOSP-based kernels for GEE and GEEB. Do NOT flash these on gproj ROMs (Can be identified with codenames LS970, E970, and E975 in the ROM filename), as the ROM will not boot due to different sources being used in the building process.
Special Note: There will be normal kernels listed, and then there will be "modded" kernels listed. The modded kernels are to only be used for @ThatKawaiiGuy's ROMs, as he makes special modifications to kernels to make them able to run on his builds. If you are running a normal GEE ROM, flash a normal GEE kernel. If you are running one of @ThatKawaiiGuy's ROMs, flash a modded kernel.

You need to update to THIS recovery then try it.
I wanna try PSX but is the camera autofocus still screwed like other 4.4 ROMs?

There are ways around it. You can use Tasker to get autofocus to work like usual.

That's fine. Now I'll wait to see if any major issues arise.

I'm also using the twrp-geespr.zip as the recovery on PSX. Flash the recovery again and then reboot into recovery and then flash.
@xboxfanj, only thing I'm noticing is that if I disconnect LTE and switch to 3G, it doesn't connect to 3G.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][2/3/14] 4.4.2 Kit Kat BAKED [D802]- USB TETHERING WORKS!

Hello and welcome to the unofficial thread for Baked Kit Kat 4.4.2 D802. Thought I would try and fill a gap here, I am a device maintainer for Team Baked on the LS980 (Sprint) but am also going to be contributing as device maintainer for the d800,d801,d802, eventually the international and d803 versions aswell. I WILL NOT be maintaining for the VS980 as Travis is maintaining that device already. I don't have this device so you guys are going to have to be my testers to make sure everything seems to be in working order.
How To Install:
Make A Nandroid Backup In Your Recovery
Wipe Data/System/Cache/DalvikCache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Reboot
As I have asked in my other threads, please don't have 20 people reporting the same issues if there are any, it's just annoying!
Update: 2/2/2014 - After spending a few days sorting out issues, we come one step closer to finding a solution to our problems. I was having an issue with my test build getting through Setup Wizard but after noticing the problem, there should be no problem.
We simply just need to update out beta gapps is all.
A quick little change log for you guys for the 2/2/14 build:
A lot of stuff is always added so I won't always be able to set out the full list of changes
Navigation Button Color Picker Added
USB Tething Now Works (Thanks acardinal)
If you aren't updated with the T-mobile theme engine, we merged the fully themable phone dialer *Inverted*, Desk Clock, and Stock Email to source
If you need Gapps for now until we get ours up and released try these: http://goo.im/devs/bevigilant/pa-gapps/
NOTE: SOME OF THESE ISSUES ARE SUBJECT TO DIFFERENT VARIANTS OF THE LG G2 AND COULD BE AN ISSUE FOR ONE OR ALL OF
THEM, I CAN ONLY PROVIDE A CHANGE LOG FROM WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED FOR THE SPRINT LG G2 AKA LS980 BUT IF THESE WERE ISSUES ON YOUR DEVICE THEY SHOULD BE FIXED NOW ASWELL, IF NOT, CONTACT ME ASAP
Update (2/3)
Setup Wizard No Longer Force Closes After Skipping Activating Mobile Service
In About Phone Section Build Says 2/2 but it's really 2/3
If your internet doesn't work right away via the Play Store just do a reboot.
Known Issues
Have to select Language 2x in setup wizard
Carrier Settings causes a meltdown of force closes

Hy there . You said first " for the d800,d801,d802, " and then " eventually the international " But 802 is indeed the international one (global version) . This is proof : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG_G2 .

What does this rom give us that other AOSP/CM based roms can't?

To be a bit vague, this ROM is open source based off CyanogenMod with cherry picks from AOKP and features we want to add in general so you get the best of both worlds, it's a black inverted ROM for the most part (now black/gray/white for kit kat) gapps have not been inverted yet

Very goor rom and camera
Installed and all working fine.
Does this have a "tuned" camera , because I've installed the lg camera mod for kk roms , and the camera in this baked rom seems to take better photo's and focus quicker ?
TIP for Extended power options ("reboot to recovery" for example) :
Go to "developer options" in the settings (about phone > Push the "build number" a few times) and turn on "advanced reboot"
I've installed "pa gapps modular" and "lg keyboard for 4.4" and all working very good .
BTW : Is it possible to use "SuperSU" in next releases ?
Thanks for a rom with good camera and for a rom wich is smooth , fast and reliable

The only camera I have found to work better is Camera Zoom, I don't really recommend using pa gapps on this ROM because it could cause issues down the road. I believe in the past we had SuperSU but I think Travis changed it. I'm not sure if he will put it back or likes it the way it is. I too tried stock Lg Camera and a mod to the stock Lg Camera but for some reason some of the features force closed on the LS980 and I don't like the regular AOSP camera because my images come out blurry and I talked to Travis about this issue as well but since he doesn't have an issue with it on the Verizon G2 he is going to leave the AOSP camera

ALL YOUR ANSWERS ARE IN THIS OP. I AM NOT ANSWERING ANYMORE QUESTIONS THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO CM11S ISSUES. REPORT A BUG HERE. BUGS WITHOUT LOGCATS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
First time installing to your d800/980 series phone, or coming from another ROM:
- If you use a recovery OTHER than TWRP based I can not help you (make sure to have KK Modem for Aosp. Find it HERE and big thanks to dr87!! I have also found the 4.2.2. modems work fine and they can be found HERE. Big THANKS to autoprime for those!!!).
- Download the Rom
- Copy the rom ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Click Wipe
- Click Advanced Wipe
- Click Dalvik Cache, System, Data, and Cache
- Swipe to Wipe
- Go to Install
- Navigate to where you stored the Rom
- Click the Rom
- Swipe to confirm Flash
- Flash Gapps
- Once complete REBOOT
That is all you need to do
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

Since you've built this, would it be possible to build pure AOSP? Or would that be different since this is CM based?
Just curious, since I liked how well it ran on my old phone.

I know he has PA (AOSPA), but I meant AOSP like nexus devices run (obviously built similarly to any other ROM, and wouldn't have GAPPS).

The only reason this isn't more popular, is because it is in the ATT development section. Tapatalk doesn't work with ATT dev section for some reason, so you have to use browser. And everyone is used to looking in development, or original development, because not much going on here.

Very nice rom @VECTUS. :good: I flashed this about 24 hours ago and it's just smooth. No FC's and everything I've done with my phone works. Very nice, thanks for letting us have this!
Not sure if it works here. But when I want to use a rom that doesn't support d800, I just flash the rom, then flash an aosp kernel for my version phone. May work for those that don't have the d800 until other versions are ready. I to have been using this for a couple days. Very smooth and everything just works. No problems so far. Like it a lot.

Hello. Interested in this ROM but wondering if there is a feature list or just CM features. Sounds great
