Hello' my wife have a huawey y300, and i found in modaco a gamer rom v2' its able to running gta san andreas and other greats game.
The y300 have a dual-core 1ghz and 512mb ram, so the acer a100 is the same processor and 1gb ram.
It is possible making a gamer rom for acer a100?

I don't think anyone is working on the a100 anymore, I know I've played some some of the gta's on it but I can't remember the rom I used.

i run gta vice city and gta 3 perfectly.
the problem is gta san andreas, real racing 3 etc, dont running on my acer a100. when i open san andreas, its crash when i press to play offline.
so is a kernel optimization problem or is a rom problem?
i have the acer about 1 month, its a gift of my mother.
any dev can make a kernel optimization for games? i aprecciate

Without knowing what you currently are running its hard to suggest something for you. Let us know at least what ROM you have on there and we can suggest something to try. If the game is crashing, though, it's likely ROM side.

Right now I'm with the stock rom 4.0.3 ics. I tried with several roms, jellytime Sosei, cyanosaki_flex, KEBBERSROM, gta not working. What rom you suggest?

Well there is modded kernels to help speed wise, though I don't think it'll help with the game crashing. ROM wise I suggest whatever works for you, its my standard answer since I'm not you, my use differs drastically.
I am on official ics 4.0.3 with ezterry A100 kernel (ezT20), overcloaking at 1500 mhz and i can do gaming just fine. I also use crossix memory swap with a 32 gb memory card and custom build.prop and the a100 supports it well.
In my opinion this are the best choices for gaming. Battery doesn't last as much but it's a good trade for me. I do get sudden reboots sometimes when multitasking. I don't know why though.
I often play Dead Trigger 2, Dungon Hunter 3, Minion Rush, Real Racing 3, GT Racing 2, Asphalt 7, FIFA 14, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Soulcraft, Eternity Warriors, Six Guns and they all work well enough for the hardware given. I hope I could help.

Modern combat 3 is very smooth, but the multitouch bug kills the gameplay
Can't speak for stock, I was only stock for 20 minutes. But I haven't experienced any lag in any games on the ROMs I've run. Games include: Shadow Gun, Flick Golf, and Asphalt 6 HD.

can u try running fred and dungeon defenders?
they are my favourite games but the lag is quite frequent on both games, especially dungeon defenders...
I tried Running Fred and it indeed shutters 2 or 3 times per seconds. What is strange it that it seems to do it for several frames.
I'd guess the game has a bad rendering pipeline.
Just tried Running Fred, no lag. CM9 currently with stock CM9 kernel, GSM phone.

If you're not familiar with fast boot and/or adb, that's the safest bet. I'd encourage you to at least review the fast boot method however.

I'm running cm9 with glados kernel, default settings. No lag for fred, and the only lag in dungeon defenders is when they spawn the new waves.

I play Dead Space on Android and it is as smooth as you could ever imagine. But there is occasionally a few lag and buggy, but it doesn't bother me much. Also, multitouch is a breeze on that game too. It's rooted, stock ROM
kind of sucks that you have to root and flash a rom in order to play certain games lag free
I'm rooted but on stock...i'll give the games a try and let you know from my end. It's a better comparison since I'm on stock too.
The other posters who have custom kernels and roms are obviously going to have different results.
I'm on stock too and no lag at all for Super Monkey Ball Sakura and The Sims FreePlay.

who knows if you have to; there's obviously a selection bias here in that most of us already have custom roms/kernels installed.

Just tried out running fred...definitely not "very choppy" for me. I am getting slight stutters usually when one of those "checkpoint reach" pop ups come the framerate will stutter a bit and the sound will as well. Nothing seriously bad, I've run into certain parts of Shadowgun that will have similar behavoir.
Not 100% but doesn't make the game unplayable for me. I'd suggest check to see if you have any background processes that are slowing things down for you. Maybe a bad app somewhere is ruining your 3d gaming experience. Also, game might not be fully optimized for us yet so might be a good idea to get in touch with the developer and let him know.
I won't be able to check dungeon defenders second wave today because my internet and 3g coverage is spotty right now at my hotel. And the extra content will take forever to download.
Hope this post helps a bit.
Ok so after about a month of running unrooted stock I have just installed aokp + Franco kernel and this seems to have a positive impact on the gaming performance. Running Fred runs quite a lot smoother now. But I haven't tried dungeon defenders yet. Will probably post results again when I have the time, but still its enlightening to know and let the community know that the custom roms and kernels not only benefits in synthetic benchmarks like quadrant but also in real-world application performance.

Out of curiosity, which governor are you using? Settings -> ROM Control -> Performance
So I have had my gs3 I747 for a week now, I previously owned a galaxy s 2 I777. and I am finding that whenever I run a game like nova 3 or asphalt 7 or any other hi Rendering games I have really bad frame rate problems. I thought for sure that the adreno 225 whould at least run those games so I am switching to a I 9300. Has anyone else had these problems.

Not likely you're experiencing these problems on stock ROM.

Im on CM10...
The problems with games are
Asphalt 7 goes slow it isnt smooth it's runs faster on my old ipod touch 4g.. so fail
Real Racing 2 have problems on graphics cut-cars lag slow...
GTA III it's a bit slow just a little bit it stutters some times but it's very good
the only game that works perfect it's shadowgun 0 lag smooth perfect
Riptide also on maximum graphics it's just perfect too so I dont understand why gameloft games have those problems.

Ditto that. Shadowgun & Riptide are smooth as butter here too, on CM10, but Nova3 chugs.
I tried giving KToon's 2.1GHz overclocked kernel a try just for kicks, but no change.
Anyone still on Touchwiz have a problem with Nova3 (or other gameloft game) lag?
I think those games just need an update for better integration..

Not really, unless you are referring to the apps being updated to "play nice" with JB, in which case we probably shouldn't hold our collective breath. That will be a while.
Asphalt7 runs flawlessly on stock ROM but is hit-or-miss with other TW-based ROMs I've run, and is simply a stutering, hacked up mess on CM10-based ROMs I've tried.
I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is here myself.

All I know is nova 3 ran smooth as silk on my i9100, and choppy and crappy on my i747. Stock, TW, cm10, doesn't matter. Runs like absolute poo when the action gets busy.

And the flipside to that coin is that some games ran like crap on ICS Touchwhiz (Restaurant Story, and some others I'm forgetting), but run like butter on CM10.

Sorry XDA Mods stupid I know to bring up such an old thread but seems to me that this problem still exists regardless of how bad ass phones get.
I have a T-Mobile GNote 2 and the GS3 both run games horribly with anything based off of AOSP. CM10, 10.1, 10.1.0 Rc1, AOKP, PA, etc...I am still trying to find answer to this, it is litterally Night and Day difference between TWiz roms and AOSP when comes to FPS in games.

what kernel were you using on each of these? your signature says you're using phablet mode. i'm having a hard time moving past that.
Lol I just call the note 2 a phablet cause that's what it is to me. Phone plus tablet. Phablet.
Now on topic. I've tried several kernels including stock ones on both devices.

I bought me a new shiny xperia play for the sake of gaming. not for regular use -- that's what i have my htc onex+ for... its one battery sucker and made just for looks...
of course when i first got the xperia-play i wanted ics on it so i installed "Doomlord"s kernel and different variations of ICS roms found on these forums.
Unfortunately almost every game i run thats made by gameloft will crash immediately right after the intro video. for example dungeon hunter 2 right after skipping the intro video it would crash.
this happens on ANY rom i install.
the only common thing i have is the "Doomlord" kernel.
Could this be the cause and should i try another kernel?
please advise.
Try a gingerbread rom or stock debloated.

I hate to break this to you Gameloft only supports stock GB.

Markphyton test rom which is the most compatible, and which has better performance for games eh all roms that I have tasted since my Xplay! (over a year)
f'ing hell. well i went back to stock R800i_4.0.2.A.0.62_Generic and guess what? no crashes!
this is absurd. i want to ICS.. heck i want JB but we're only up to ICS with the play.
The sad part is their games are the only good ones... unless you guys can recommend any other software developer with good games?
and i primarily bought the xperia play to game on.
I am curious what people feel is the best rom for gaming and speed on an r800at, guess that part doesn't matter as long as its a GSM Rom.
Thoughts and if you can detail why you feel said rom is the best. Again I am looking for best gaming rom, speed and available memory.

I used a lot of GB ROMs but I always return to this.
I believe it's smoother and more stable than others.
Cant believe u open a thread just to ask this Q. Scrolling down my xda app there's a bunch of thread asking the same. Not to mention in the general sect.
But since u new to Gsm i like to point out to ur Q that ALL GB ROM can gme & they hav their own pros/cons. So to know which suited u best, u just gonna hav to try it. Coz we may hav the same phone but our taste & view are totally diff. Cheerio.

Normally I balked at these threads, but okay. I like NXT Lite rom and Doom kernel, though honestly I find all gingerbread roms to be good with gaming performance.
You can check here on explanation of the cpu governors and and i/o schedulers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369817, it might help with tuning between performance and battery life. I'm using 'smoothass' and 'bfq' @ 250-1000 and it's very smooth, as far as this old phone goes.

I guess I should also ask as I have been on 2.3.3 since pretty much the beginning but with the recent release of JB for the PLAY I would imagine that the xperia games launcher doesn't work as these roms are not built on Sony framework, am I incorrect in this? Some ics roms can play them with no trouble apart from mc4 but mc3 works good and so does gta vice city on low graphic settings on ics but as for jb there's touchpad lag in some games lie gta mc3 and a few others shadow gun works but I couldn't get the expansion pack (leftover) to work just kept force closes but some games can run pretty good like fifa 12
But if you want perfect gaming any gingerbread rom
For ics my personal favourite is miui Australia
And jb slimbean or Turbo ui
But these are just my findings and opinions

Thank you. I game a lot (when I have the time) So I would prefer something that would be best with the following features:
Excellent for Gaming
A Rom that has the most available memory.
Is DiXperia and/or NXT2JB / NXT Lite good with these above perks? Again sorry for all the questions its just that now that I have all these choices of ROMs I cannot decide and thought I would pick everyones brain on it.
My vote goes toward jokawild. No titanium backup issues, great on gaming, better wifi strength, xperia stock look. Best of all its based on stock gingerbread.

So, not long ago I started "modding" my Defy. Things were not that new to me, since I used to "mod" my Xperia Mini Pro).
The main point is, Xperia Mini Pro had a Game oriented Rom named Gingergames, so my question is, if is there anything similar to that for the Defy!
I took a few searches but could not find any so far.
For the record, I tried Quarx 4.2.2 rom, but it doesn't do good at games even though its looks are fantastic!

This is actually true, but I was hoping for a rom with especifical game optimization.
Well, after looking the internet up and reading a lot, I came to the conclusion that White Rabbit Next Gen ROM would have a good performance on gaming since it was deemed as very light, fast and reliable and the final fact is that my Defy is running all 3D games I have tried so far without barely any lags or slowdowns. I have tried Asphalt 7 and Contract Killer 2, and both run just smooth.
So, in case anyone else is wondering, I am not sure if White Rabbit Next Gen is the BEST Rom for gaming, but I can assure it is a pretty good one!
Well, I'm on Quarx's cm10 20130326 ROM and gaming is buttery smooth. I have been playing FIFA 12 and Need For Speed Most Wanted with no lags. I still wanna try GTA III and see if passes the test. However, I had to over clock. Here are my settings
