FIDO (Canada) HIPTOP phone--NEED HELP UNLOCKING

Hi,
I'm new here and I like this site. I was reading some of the posts. My question to you all is does anyone know how to UNLOCK my HIPTOP. My provider waa FIDO, but I am no longer with them. I am stuck with the phone and I am with another provider (ROGERS WIRELESS) and they have a SIM card on the GSM network.
I tried putting my ROGERS SIM card into my phone and the message said "Please enter special SIM code)
I would really like to use my old HIPTOP if possible.
If you can help me out please I would appreciate. Let me know if I have to call the OLD provider or can I do it myself?

[Q] Help with HTC Desire unlock - NO unlock code screen

Hi all,
I have a locked T-Mobile Desire and wish to use my Orange sim card in it.
I have tested the phone with a T-Mobile sim and this works fine but when I put the Orange sim in I get no signal and the limited service message. I have also tried this with a Vodafone sim card and get the same.
I have a 8 digit unlock code but basically have no where to input it. Can anyone help me with this please?

[Q] Help with sim unlock

i just traded my sidekick 4g for an xperia play and i need help unlocking the sim card slot with out having to pay 25$ from some unknown website . its an at&t and i have a tmobile sim card , help will be greatly appreciated .

When to change the sim card slot (hardware)

I bought a roger's locked noteII from canada but the owner told me that it cant get gsm network so it can works as a wifi tab...
Is there any way to tell me can I repair it myself softwarely

Did the previous owner tell you why the device won't get a signal ??
Is the device damaged ??
If not...you can carrier unlock the device to use with the ATT network...
There are numerous threads that cover these steps...g

Once you succeed with unlock.
.you'll need root and recovery to flash a radio image....and set your APN for the proper network..
Do some searches....you'll find everything you need....g

Noticed your other thread about changing the SIM holder...

Xperia ZL Unlock Problems

Hi to all...
I'm having a problem with my Xperia ZL, i bought it with a company "Personal Argentina", after a year i requested the unlock code, now i entered the unlock code and the phone apparently was unlocked.
But, when i insert a sim card of another company it did't get service from the other carrier...
in the Service menu, *#*#7378423#*#*, in the simlock section, it figures as unlocked NETWORK [ ] ....
If i insert a sim card of Personal Argentina it works, but with other companys no. Could you help? there ir another place where i have to unlock the phone?

Maybe a factory reset is required before putting in the sim from another carrier?
