so, im getting a galaxy note 3 upgrade tomorrow. now, im not sure yet if im keeping it or my g pro. question is....out of real experience from real testers....whats the best bitcoin wallet app around for android as im going to sell one of these phones. ive had great success on ebay selling every phone i ever owned for no less than $300 but this time around im going to invest in bitcoin for the buy. any and all opinions on these apps would be greatly appreciated as im going to root and mod my gn3 tomorrow when i get it and would like a bitcoin wallet set up for a sell. thank for any input, and please no negative comments on the bitcoin route....ive done my research of value and who and what takes it. thanks again.

I want to buy a new phone. I have had my evo 4g since it came out. My friend has a s2 and I love it but what are the common issues with the sprint variant and are they worth looking over? I am currently running cm7 so not having sense won't be an issue
I came from an EVO as well and absolutely love the sgII E4GT (maybe not the 8 character abbreviation) but the phone rocks. It is just like every other brand of phone out there. The majority play nice and then you have the ones that want to be stroked and then you have the bad boys. And last but not least the occasional bone head behind the keyboard.
But my over all experience has been great. Your mileage may vary.......
Thanks so lemme ask you this, is it worth purchasing without a contract? I've seen a couple on Craig's list go for $300

300 doesn't sound bad.........not tell you to go out and do it. But for that price I would.
I hear a fix for most bugs is coming next month. At $300 i would do it. Thats how much sprint will take u for if u buy it new on contract.

My phone is again needing some major repair, and I am fed up with tinkering with it and breaking it further. My 2 options at this point are either spend the $100 and get it replaced through Asurion, or my bro offered to sell me his EVO 3D for $100 and whatever I can sell my Evo for. I do have an upgrade avaiilable, but really dont have extra cash to make a new purchase, plus Sprint can suck it for a new contract any time soon, Im ultimately looking to ditch them once my wife lands a nursing job.
I dont care one bit about any 3d functionality or anything extra from the 3vo, just wondering if there are any roadblocks to consider before making the switch, ie rooting, ROM's etc. I've briefly browsed the 3VO forums a bit, but the first time in a new phone section is always a bit overwhelming for me.
Thanks in advance guys, I am loving my ReLoaded ROM atm and really am hesitant to make the switch.

Hey everyone, just giving a quick thought whether or not I would be joining this section of the forum. More specifically I'm debating on purchasing a GNEX and I'm not sure if its worth it at this point, I hear a lot of talk about how people should wait until the next Nexus device and I'm wondering if its too late to buy one now. My purchase price would be about $365 locally, in mint condition (I cannot purchase from PLAY Store because I'm in Canada), and I'm wondering, should I just go ahead and buy it since I will be going to university next year and money will be tight when it comes to getting the latest and greatest Nexus device, plus I will be guaranteed updates with the GNEX. Also, JB has just smoothed things over significantly for dual core phones, which makes me want to look at a Nexus rather than a quad-core phone. Any insight would be appreciated, looking to make the deal for the Nexus tomorrow if I decide to!
Thanks!
Check out the several other threads that have been opened over the past two weeks asking basically the same question...

in your position with school and money and all i say go for it, i love mine.
Since you're on a tight budget due to going to college, this phone will probably be worth it to you. You just have to ask yourself if you're willing to stick with this phone even though you surely know another one will come out so soon. Also if you're interested in any other devices such as the Galaxy S3 keep in mind you are on a budget and dishing out a couple more hundreds for a device only slightly better wouldn't be worth it in my opinion. I say get the Galaxy Nexus now since despite it being more than half a year old but $365 seems quite steep for a Galaxy Nexus that's not new but in "Mint Condition".
buying and selling locally is a double edged sword, you can sell for a lot more, yet people think that their device is gold, going this route I'm saving shipping and roughly getting it at cost that the play store would provide, except for the fact that its not bnib, and I'm thinking that the new releases of Android that i will get, plus the development community will make the device new and refreshing every time i decide to make adjustments to it which is also persuading lol
I don't know if you have an update coming down the pipeline with your service provider, but if you do, I would wait. I would assume a LTE Nexus is in the works (as rumoured 5 nexus devices coming this year). If push comes to shove the current gnex is a wonderful option though. The HSPA+ gets me 7-10 down, 5 up in Pittsburgh. Those speeds are nothing to sneeze at, and will do for you what you need.
Hi Galaxy nexus gang,
I'm on the verge of joining your ranks, but I wanted to ask about this phone from the people who have it. I have a chance to buy one for $200 w/car dock. As the story goes, the seller's wife gets a discount with Verizon or whatever, so they are leaving T-Mobile and that is why he is selling the phone.
However, I've been burned...once badly...by Craigslist phone sales. Since pretty much all tech has problems, what would be the biggest Galaxy Nexus issues to look for when I get a chance to play with it before dropping the money. It is not in warranty, but supposedly it works great.
As an example, someone asked a similar question to the Nexus 7 community and I helped by listing the 14 most common issues people seemed to be reporting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1829642
Anyone familiar with the device and it's issues, if you could do the same for me, that would be awesome. I plan to meet tomorrow to buy it and I don't have much time to research it today (taking care of a toddler gives me pretty much her nap time which I'm using to type this. LOL)
I ****ing love mine, it's the best phone I've owned. Root it and boot it!

You should check everything from the phone before buying it, there's a post around here of someone who buy one and it end being a fake one... Becareful.
Ok the only issue that I found when I buy it was the sound, its a bit low, but you can make it sound louder with some app or even with a custom ROM. That's the only issue I found. Besides that I love it!!! It's just the best phone that I have owned so far :good:
Give the phone a thorough run through before purchasing.
Watch some videos and reviews of the Galaxy Nexus and familiarize yourself with it.
Take note of how the screen is supposed to feel and how the software is supposed to run. Also take not of the user interface. These are all things that a knockoff will have different.

Hey All,
I need some help making up my mind. I'd love to hear your input.
I moved to China in August. I had a Galaxy Nexus at the time. A bottle of vodka ended the life of that phone prematurely. I need to buy a phone to replace it.
I would prefer to buy a N4, but I don't have any friends or family coming to see me until the end of January, and I'm a little nervous about shipping a new electronic device into China.
I was checking out my options today, and it seems my best choice will come from the following: GNex, S3, Note 2, Meizu MX, or Oppo Finder.
If money were no object, and you were choosing one from that pool of devices, which would you go with? I'm having a hard time weighing the pros and cons of these different devices. And, as much as I enjoyed my GNex, I'm a little hesitant paying new-phone price for a phone that has some pretty old specs. Feel free to tell me I shouldn't feel this way. I might just need to hear it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Depends what forum you post on. Since you are on the nex forum, that will be the one that gets voted. Move over to the s3 forum and guess what they will tell you to get?
Always the same back and forth arguing. I would just try them out if you can in the store and see which you like best. Personally I like the nex because I hate UI overlays put on top of google (sense/tw)
I thought I might get a more honest response out of this crowd, because we are mostly people who have seen other devices released since we bought this phone. I imagine a lot of people here are waiting to upgrade and have been eyeing other devices the last couple of months.
I also really prefer stock Android and the whole Nexus experience. But I also really like new and shiny.
