I was wondering if someone could help me out. i read the official sony instructions but I'm a noob and I don't understand what to do. can someone explain it better or make a detailed guide for me. Thanks in advance.
First install the android sdk. Then extract it and open it. Then click sdk folder then click platform-tools folder. Put the ics boot.img system.img and userdata.img in the platform tools folder. Then turn your phone off. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked. Hold down the search key while plugging the phone in and a blue light should be on. Then while holding right shift right click and then press open command window here. Then type in
'fastboot flash boot (name of the boot.img)' then type in 'fastboot flash system (name of the system.img)' then type 'fastboot flash userdata (Name of the userdata.img)' then type 'fastboot erase cache'. Exclude the apostrophes

That was the official way. It can also be done via flashtool. First go into fastboot mode and open flashtool. Then press the flash icon. Then press fastboot mode. Then press select kernel to flash. Then select the kernel. Then press select system to flash. Choose the system.img. Now reboot your phone and it is installed.

Ok I did the process but it bricked my phone, I unbricked it though. When I was flashing the .img, in the command, there was bad blocks encountered. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

You probably have a damaged bootloader.

I counted up all the bad blocks, there was a total of 14, but I think there is a way to fix it. I was reading online about it.

When I reflash stock 2.3.3 via Flashmode and Flashtool, I get stuck in a bootloop. I'm using DooMKerneL V2 test 2 and the correct WiFi modules. The CDMA variant of course.
I'm going to try again, but I doubt it will work. Fix permissions first.
Any ideas?

If you can still use your USB port, I would recommend the link that Petrovski80 posted.
If you cannot use your USB port, then it is a bit trickier. You will have to:
1) Ensure you have root and a custom recovery;
2) Lock your bootloader using BootUnlocker
3) Flash the stock kernel in recovery
4) Flash the stock ROM (i.e, the /system folder) in recovery
5) Flash the stock recovery in recovery.
EDIT: I posted how to do this somewhere, but I can't remember where it is now. A quick search should find it.

What the steps in your case should be, by my knowledge:
- Try extracting the .tar containing the actual img files by using an app like ZArchiver on your /sdcard
- Lock the bootloader using Bootunlocker app
- Reboot into recovery
- Flash appropriate img files
- Reboot into Android OS at least once so android will overwrite your custom recovery with stock
Disclaimer: none of this is tested, just theory.
If i can unzip it i think mobile odin can flash it i guess

There apparently was some sort of update by sprint that kept cwm recovery from mounting sdcard and internal memory. There is a fixed recovery method on xda somewhere that allowes access so I then flashed the stock rom

I have done bricking my phone similarly a couple of times but ODIN saved me. I had to install the stock recovery and stock ROM a couple of time repeatedly to get it back to working state. Then, installed the CWM recovery and rooted the phone.
Cwm only worked once for me. Next time I went to used it it would say could not mount sd card or even the int. After reading on here there was a post about it and someone modified it so it would mount and could be used. Saved my ass lol

1. Extract the boot.img from the zip to your computer, you will need this file for fastboot
2. Place CM10 rom .zip file on the root of the SD card
3. Put the phone into fastboot mode:
Code:
fastboot reboot bootloader
4. Flash boot.img:

First unlock your bootloader if you already havent done so. Then extract the kernel from the cm10 zip or get another one and flash with fastboot. Fastboot mode can be entered from Flashtool menu.
