Hi there! Is there a way that I can make my Notification bar and Navigation bar Transparent in apps. I want to have them like on the homescreen with GEL where notification + navigation bar is trasparent. For example like the modded Instagram from Holofication Nation where everything is HOLO + transparent/ Thnx:fingers-crossed:
YES! I've been looking around for this too, thought maybe some xposed mod...
Not super familiar with the subject, but I think its up the the app Dev to implement?
Also, check out "[kk] translucent recents" xposed mod, makes your recent do just that!
I believe it is up to the developers to take the default page attributes and not specify color for those are or to become immersive. This is described on the Google development site and might be accessible via a search of this or the General areas of this forum.

Hey,
Does anybody knows if it's possible showing android's notification bar while using fullscreen mode?
I found this cool app called full!screen.
It allows you to use fullscreen mode and gives you 2 buttons on the bottom corners with adjustable size and transparency, one of them is HOME and the other is BACK, you can slide them and get more options like RECENT APPS or canceling the fullscreen mode...
The only thing that missing here is the notification bar, its a deal breaker for me and I really want to use this fullscreen feature.
If there are any ideas please feel free to shoot
Thanks

I've tested several things with stock and Nova, but no luck. I was surprised the nova action for expand notifications wouldn't work. This isn't with the app you mentioned, though, it is with AOSPA and JDX, both of which have full screen options built in. The custom ROMs that have this feature built in typically allow you to show the notification bar. You could combine a custom ROM that allows removal of nav keys without removing status bar, then use a launcher like Nova to hide the status bar on the home page.

Thanks it sounds like a great idea, I'll try it :good:
p.s. why hiding the status bar on the home page?
Not sure if this is what you want but Smart Statusbar let's you access the notification bar from full screen apps.
Edit: just downloaded full!screen to try it out and it doesn't seem to work with that app.
full screen and keeps status bar
pie navigator
make sure to set up 'pie' controls before setting full screen and rebooting, or you'll be stuck with no way to navigate

I only mentioned that because I wasn't sure if you wanted the status bar or just wanted access to the notifications. I prefer having the status bar so I can easily see the time, battery, notifications, etc., but many prefer to hide the status bar for aesthetic reasons. With Nova, you can hide the status bar but still swipe down to expand notifications.
Use PA. Then go to hybrid properties, and set the Navigation Bar to 0%. This would make the nav bar disappear and trigger pie but with the status bar still at the top

Finally I used "button savior" app and than removed the softkeys by editing BuildProp file using "BuildProp Editor" adding the line: "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1", Reboot and that does it, no softkeys. Thanks for the advice for removing the softkeys :good:
I also prefer the status bar on... when I hide the status bar (using nova) there's no option pulling it back
Haven't seen a thread for the HTC One M8 and would like to see what people have come up with. I hope that people would share their setups and how they did it, so others can get ideas and come up with something of their own.
If you post, please share how you did it, or whatever apps/Xposed modules you used. Also, if the Mods are not clear in the pictures, explain what mods are done.
This is all on the Stock 4.4.2 OS that is on the HTC One M8, it's just Rooted.
All of the Mods come from Xposed Modules:
EX-Themer[KK]
HTC One Tweaker
Overflow Mod
Sense 6 Lockscreen Mods
Sense 6 Toolbox
Smooth System Progress Bars
SoftkeysFadeMod
Tinted Status Bar
Unicon
XSense
*****Unicon is the only module that you download via the Google Play Store, and costs money*****
In the first screenshot, I have custom Icons via Unicon, the Icons themselves are from the icon pack Cryten. Also the Weather Widget is transparent. The Software Keys are smaller, taking up less real-estate than the stock.
In the second screenshot, the App Drawer background is transparent instead of black.
The third screenshot is of BlinkFeed, the Dock Icons disappear.
In the fourth screenshot, the Status Bar and Navigation Bar change color to whatever app it is in via Tinted Status Bar.
In the fifth screenshot, its the same as the previous one, just showing the change in color of the Status and Nav Bars.
In the final screenshot, the Nav Bar icons fade via SoftkeysFadeMod.
I like to customize things to a point where they look kind of stock, like it was made to be the way it looks. I don't like over the top mods. Show me what you guys come up with!
Going to start messing with the Notfication Background, lets see what I come up with.
Hope you guys enjoy!
The home screen thread is under the Themes and apps thread. There is also a bigger one under the international forums also.
Thanks for this. Must have missed it.
Mods, please close the thread.

It's like that on stock. What ever apps you have on the lower part of your home screen, those will be displayed on the lock screen.
Hello everybody
XDA wont let me upload a link, so message me if you would like a pic (I would really appreciate it)
I was just wondering if I could remove the background behind the navigation keys to be transparent in the recent apps windows. I have background transparency, but those buttons aren't transparent. Any thoughts?
I am rooted with G4 tweaks box.
How I can get a transparent or semitransparent navbar? Would prefer semitransparent.
Only way I can imagine that working is making it yourself.

would the be so that you could look at the bottom of your background through the navbar?
I ask because that would be the result. an app window wouldn't appear under it, unless in immersive mode... which in full immersive mode - the navbar is transparent...
your typical app is constrained to the screen space between the statusbar and navbar.. they are in non-immersive mode... to better understand what I mean, look at the diagram here;
https://developer.android.com/training/system-ui/immersive.html
also, when u do see apps where the statusbar or navbar look more integrated with the app, that's probably hinting to colourize them to match the app...
anyhoo, I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in, because I don't think a transparent navbar is going to do what u want it to (?).
I recommend nav bar apps, at least with it the nav bar can dynamically change colors based on the foreground app. This is the app to go-to if you're worried about screen burn.
Pretty much the title says it all: I'd like to have status bar and navigation bar always black, with white icons.
Does anyone know whether Nacho Notch or similar apps will work with upcoming One UI 3.0 / Android 11 release?
Might a black theme from Theme Store accomplish the job?
Thanks in advance!
Pick a theme that has the keyboard, phone texting colors etc you like, then set the wallpaper you want.
Add a custom icon pack from the Galaxy Store.
Load Galaxy Store Good Lock App and Quickstar to modify the pull down panel more if you want.
I use one of the preloaded high contrast theme then modify as above. Works well.

For everyone's knowledge, two reddit users tested Nacho Notch for me on both One UIs - stable and beta - and Nacho Notch works as expected.
