Hello to all. I have found that my LG E975 have some dead pixels, and I wanna send it back to warranty.
My phone was routed and bootloader was unlocked. I have already installed stock rom and factory reset it. If i turn it off and press volume up key and power button, no longer appear bootloader menu. Just a message from LG which tell me to hold power button for 8 seconds to restart the phone normally. I presume the bootloader is locked.
BUT!!! Is there any chance from those from warranty to check if i had bootloader unlocked? Can I found somehow if my bootloader is locked or not?

I think if you flashed kdz it wiped everything and overwrote. There shouldnt be any information about unlocking or rooting. I saw some threads about giving phone to service after rooting etc... So, i think they shouldnt see that if phone was unlocked and rooted. Its my opinion, after some threads i read..

Yes, I have flashed with KDZ. And this is my opinion too, but I want to be 100% sure it's safe for me to send it to warranty.
Thanks for your answer
I think you shouldnt worry if you flashed kdz than you are safe. When it flash, program overwrite partitions, including these with root and unlocked bootloader.

the case here is that my volume rocker and power buttons are a bit laggy that i some times have to click 5 or 6 times in order for them to work ... and my phone is still under warranty so i sent it to get repaired they told my they need to change the main board and that i broke the warranty terms by installing CM7 and unlocking boatloader and they told me also that if i could restore the phone exactly as it was they would repair it so please tell me how to restore every thing exactly as it was i mean ( relocking the boatloader installing stock rom etc.... ) and please with links
beacuse i only have like 1 week left before warranty ends and i need to restore it AFAP
many thanks in advance
You can install the stock ROM's from here. Then re-lock the bootloader (I think they can still see the bootloader was unlocked.)
Hope they don't notice that the bootloader was unlocked. :good:

if unlocked bootloader relock it by this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1712609
then download Any RUU then extract rom.zip
rename it to PG76IMG.zip
install it by bootloader
All stock roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335368
I was running unoffcial cm12 for my desire 816 a5dwg variant. My power button just got stuck inside and doesnt work so I had to send it for warranty and so I planned on making my desire 816 stock again. I used the windroid universal kit and relocked the bootloader using it and after that my phone is stuck in a bootloop and it boots to the hboot. I've tried pressing volume keys but before I do anything it switches off. It runs only for 20 seconds and then reboots again. I need to get the phone to stock as to make a claim for warranty. I know there are so many talented devs out there who would have superior knowledge and can help me fix this. Please help me. Thank you so much in advance

-You need to unlock the bootloader again.
-Then boot the device.
-Find FULL UNROOT by going into SuperSU settings.
-Go back into bootloader.
-Flash stock recovery.
-Relock bootloader.
-Claim manufacturer defect of hardware with HTC and send it in.
Also note, it is a hardware issue so relocking the bootloader isn't necessary. Removing root and a stock recovery is necessary though.
Done.

Hey man thanks for your help but I got it working anyway. I gave the phone to the service center and they fixed the power button and upon booting all they say was the hboot which obviously had the tampered and relocked flag there and so they said we wont cover it in warranty. The main problem was the power button which caused it to reboot to infinity and they fixed it so I got it back and unlocked the boot loader and boom shakalaka the phone is working again. Appreciate your help mate

Glad everything worked out for you.
Also, if it booted directly into the bootloader when they turned it on then technically to them you caused an issue.
They would need to see the device boot up fully and that it doesn't possess any ROOT/RECOVERY modifications to give a replacement.
If it was relocked and it booted up to the home screen as soon as they fixed the button they would've offered a replacement due to a manufacturer defect of the button and the software being fully functional.
Basically saying if something goes wrong with the software and your bootloader is relocked they can basically blame you -IF- they can see the bootloader. Even if you were on pure stock and never decided to root after the bootloader unlock. This is because that's their safety net for software issues caused by the USER modifying inaccessible areas of the device and not the actual HTC software. Even if you have a hardware issue to match with it. No warranty.
If you had a complete brick with no power whatsoever they could never see if it was locked relocked or unlocked and would replace it for software & hardware warranty.
If its relocked and fully functional but hardware is giving issues non related to the software then they will replace it for hardware only.
The game playing is. If they can set the field to look as if you caused it, no warranty. If you do vice versa and your them. Then its your field. Driftin with me?
Its all about the choice of words and the way the situation is given & described.

unlocking the bootloade voids your warranty.. only way is to send it to LG... or used the modded KDZ to disable big cores... in case you ncaat fix it. or get new motherboard..

This is the reason why i swap my G4 H818P to Korean Variant G4. The Bootloop problem. Korean Variant is perfect for me. Strong 4G signal and no more SMS Limits in Marshmallow official update.

I ended up getting the infamous bootloop problem in my LG G4 around 2-3 months ago. I disabled the big cores to gain access into my files and salvaged them from the phone. I thought that I'd send the phone back to RMA under warranty, but ended up using the phone as my daily driver as it didn't slow the phone so much that I couldn't manage the sluggishness. That grew up on me on friday, as I went and got an OP3 to replace my G4 and have it finally repaired.
I flashed a stock 5.1 back to the phone, and after restarting the phone the bootloop issue reappeared. As I had disabled the big cores, and flashed the stock ROM to it, can I assume that:
1) the phone is now back to stock with all the files I had in it deleted?
2) big cores are again enabled because of the stock ROM?
3) no signs of rooting as flashing a stock ROM will unroot the device?
1-) yes
2-)yes
3-) if you havent unlocked the bootloader, you can do a wipe and make sure.

If I remember correctly I did the rooting without unlocking the device and I used the stock V20d as ROM. But can't remember for 100% sure. How can I find out if it's locked or unlocked?

Does your device say bootloader unlocked on the top left side of the screen as soon as you turn it on? If so you unlocked your bootloader.

Good morning,
Having bought a phone LG G4 from China I doubt a bit of their ROM (we never know if they added cookies or what ..) So I decide to get started in the installation of a custom ROM. So already I notice that the phone is already rooted (while it was under blister). Well then I have to unlink the bootloader and I must restart in fastboot but nothing done I can not access the bootloader ?? I tried with the command window (adb reboot bootloader) but it restarts on the home screen .. ditto with an app boot manager, I go back every time on the home screen. How come? I do not have a bootloader or what ??
Thank you for clearing me up.
Sorry for my english

I don't have the fastboot mode, so you think it's normal? Mine is on LP but I can't update to MM (the category update is missing in settings) wich I think is due to the seller chinese, he did some strange things on the phone I think.
