Hey guys, so today ive tried to flash the new cyanogenmod 10.2.1 since the stable one just came out but as soon as i flash it it gives me status 7 error and doesnt get past that. Does any of you know how to fix this? I have done some re search and this appears to be a verification problem but i may be wrong.

Ive tried installing the one that you've sent me and it installs it without any difficulties but now it goes onto the htc logo and then is stuck in htc logo boot loop. I guess there is something wrong with the rom, thanks for the help anyway
Did you flash boot.img?
Try an older recovery based on CWM 5. Cwm 6.0.4.5 won't flash roms < 4.4. Or try twrp

you don't use ADB to flash boot.img, but fastboot... and yes, there is a way, look around for kernel lighter, but you'll see that when you set kernel lighter up you need fstboot for the first time... the nice thing is that after that you don't need fastboot anymore to flash a boot.img it's very useful if you are ofter away from your pc...

Why don't you first try to flash a recovery? It looks like your recovery went haywire. In bootloader, go to fastboot, issue the following from your PC's cmd prompt:
fastboot flash recovery <full path to your recovery file>.img
CWM released a new recovery today 5.8.4.0. I flashed it and it works.
EDIT. You can find all the required adb and fastboot files in this tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24967468&postcount=1
The CWM recovery file included is older but it works.

There is another recovery option available in the Development thread: TeamWin Recovery
Try using that. I read somewhere that people having problems with CWM flashed TeamWin and were successful.
EDIT: Before flashing either CWM or twrp, maybe you should try erasing your recovery partition and cache partition with
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase recovery
and then flash the recovey image.
EDIT 2: Another option would be to flash the stock recovery. I don't know what your regioncode/CID is. Find the appropriate stock recovery and flash that.

Guys we now have OFFICAL CWM and Rom Manager support.
you can flash CWM from rom manager but it wont be permanent so you need to flash a recovery.img as usual
DO NOT FLASH VIA ROM MANAGER
but any roms that are for the one v and have been uploaded to rom manager, will mean we can download and flash via rom manager
CWM 5.8.4.5
CDMA USERS PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS IT WILL NOT WORK USE THIS INSTEAD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28251351#post28251351
This CWM will now be maintained by Koush, i'll just update this thread when a new version comes out.
Instructions to flash:
either use the all in one tool
or if you prefer to do it manually then
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot erase cache

It would help if you can elaborate "doesn't work". Listing the steps you tried to install the recovery and what are your trying to perform in the recovery
Well by doesn't work I mean that it goes to and HTC white screen "This build is for development purposes only..." and well with the current method of achieving root if I'm not mistaken you need a custom recovery. Initially I wanted to nandroid my phone before rooting. I wasnt yet aware that the user football had made a RUU available for the CDMA One V which latter turned to help clxcoltz and I in recovering our phones.
You don't need a custom recovery to root the phone. You only need to boot it with boot.superboot.img using adb.

What ROM are you on?
You should flash a repacked version if you are on any rom but Viperx. To fix your bootloop I'll suggest you just look for a repacked version of you're rom, if you can't find one, or there isn't one, I'll do a repack for you. Also you should've typed this in fastboot:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Boot to recovery and flashed those modules(it's the kernel file you downloaded).

So lets see. You are rooted right? Did you unlock your bootloader via htcdev?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.
I'm assuming both of the stuff just mentioned is true. Also you will need to download the htc drivers, which can be found with their software here:
dl4.htc.com/managed-assets/support/software/htc-sync/htc_sync_setup_3.2.20.exe
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.
Now if you don't have cwm(clockworkmod) recovery installed here is a link for the file: download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.
To flash that file you will need to have the drivers installed as mentioned in above, also you'll need this file here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/78880032/fastboot.zip
Now extract this file to your main harddrive.
Example C:/fastboot/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is where you should place the file mentioned at number 2. Also we will work from this folder mostly.
After you installed the htcsync software, and did the steps mentioned above we can go further. Don't forget to answer my two questions at the beginning.

If I understand you correctly, you want to to flash the rom but your PC can't see your sdcard. Is that right?
You can flash from whatever firmware you are on. It doesn't matter. But if my statement above is correct , then I would presume you want to install your drivers.
You should try to set your phone to USB mass storage and see if your PC can still not see it.

How to flash recovery:

Boot your phone to hboot and then choose recovery. Then you go to 'mounts and storage' option and right at the bottom should be USB mass storage(of something similar)

edit2:
when im trying to type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
it says "'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."
is that because my battery is under 30%?
I've tried flashing a recovery.img through fastboot after successfully rooting my phone, but all I can get is a bootscreen hang, note: I can turn on my phone fine, but not the recovery portion of it.
Tried: CWM Recovery through APP and through Terminal.
Info: HTC One V Virgin Mobile, no SIM so PrimoC.
Anything I can do to try to solve this? Would love to flash AOKP or PACman.

You need to flash a new recovery I think,
I think touch is supported with TWRP 2.5 or 2.6, or philz touch recovery.
I believe that if you flash the new TWRP over the old one, your backups are safe and touch is restored.

You need to flash a new recovery I think,
I think touch is supported with TWRP 2.5 or 2.6, or philz touch recovery.
I believe that if you flash the new TWRP over the old one, your backups are safe and touch is restored.

Have you done:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache?
also, are you sure that after you installed the rom, you flashed the corresponding boot.img? Else it will not boot up.
otherwise try to flash this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240646

There are no RUU's ..
Best thing to do is to get your recovery working.
Are you sure that after you flashed the recovery you did:
fastboot erase cache
and are you sure your phone is international?

boot.img refers to the actual boot.img you have so you need the correct path to it.
or simple do:
fastboot flash boot (then drag on the boot.img file) 'return'

Leave it to boot for a couple of minutes. If you flashed the boot.img right it should boot up.

Or go into recovery do a factory reset and reinstall rom, you can mount usb from recovery to if you need to copy the rom.zip onto the phone.
