CodefireX 4.4.3.2.1.000.000 Open Master
CodefireX.com
This well established Android distribution treats development differently than any other to further our Android platform as a whole. This is the fastest source built ROM you will find on this forum, and also the only one to utilize our unique build system and a custom LLVM 3.5 suite based toolchain globally.
Here is our very well supported Issue Tracker.
We utilize a plethora of unique optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Utilizing the LLVM CLANG CI globally, working heavily with upstreams with a goal of furthering our entire Android platform.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization and Polly optimizations (another custom ROM first). Feel free to google these a bit.
Much of our source have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations to set us even further ahead of the community. These are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Utilizing all O4 optimizations (Optimization Level 4) including LTO (with binutils plugins), and additionally LLVM Polly.
Of course we also have several neat UI features, including but not limited to:
T-Mobile Theme Engine.
DPI Wizard (no junk like build.prop tweaks).
Quick Settings panel customizations.
Live network stats in your statusbar.
Button backlight customizations.
Hardware button customizations.
Volume button customizations.
Many more being added during the nightly builds.
NOTE: Only "AnyKernel" flashable kernel zips are supported. This ROM ships with a kernel based on showp1984's bricked-kernel.

If anyone is wondering, cfx is like the stock/notstock AOSP everybody wants. It is optimized in a way you have no idea, pure stability and speed. And the features that get added are carefully chosen (and handmade)
So for those who are like "I like the stock feel" or "I don't like a lot of the ROMs because it looks like most features are copies of other ROMs and the reason they're there is because the developed decided to pull it out of it's butt", I would recommend this to you.
And for those who want something new you should try it.
And those who are perfectly fine with their ROM, you should try this.

I'm assuming that this port is now over?
Hello guys!
I know it's been a while since I released a version of my kernel, but I've been working hard to do a complete remake of the kernel and the end results are more than good I must say.
I needed to create a new thread because the old one was dead and I decided to make a clean start.
Disclaimer:
This kernel is for i9505 model running TW firmware only.
Do not flash it on other S4 variants and/or Android versions.
Use at your own risk, I won't take any responsibility for broken devices, bootloop stucked one or thermonuclear war.
Well, now that we've made things clear let's proceed to the kernel!
Includes almost all features from the "old" v19 etc..., plus:
- New and much improved kernel configuration application, called Synapse!
It's much faster, more agile, safer and overall better than the previous one.
It controls almost any feature included in this kernel, no need for any external app to configure it.
This was originally used on Perseus Kernel for the i9500 but with the help of Andreilux we made it happen on Ausdim Kernel too!
Many thanks @ktoonsez & @Andreilux, great guys, words are too little to describe them!

- Latest linux kernel 3.4.99
- If system isn't rooted then it will auto root with latest supersu 2.01
- Fixed those kernel panics in previus kernels
- Compiled from scratch with latest sasmung update5 sources

Well, my non gaming profile is 1566mhz cpu with -25μV undervolt (not necessary) , 320mhz gpu and -50μV undervolt (also not necessary).
It' ll cover all your needs, even smooth 1080p playback and recording.
Maybe you could go lower than this, I haven't tried to though...
I get around 7 hours with moderate to heavy usage using this kernel and latest Omega rom.
I can't say how much battery life you'll get if your usage is lighter than the one described above because I almost always use mine with moderate use and charge it at night, lol.
But you can expect a lot better than that I suppose...
Oooh this is great! @ausdim is back with 4.3

What widgets is that?

Couple of questions.
First, how is the camera? Any issues with photosphere?
Next, is there any problems with music once you plug in the headphones (I have yet to find a 4.4.2 rom other than TW, that doesn't cause the phone to freeze when you plug in the headphones).
Also, are there any wifi issues of yet?

What kernel other than the one that came with the ROM works well on this ROM?
Since the unified variant build, I have to say Nightly 10/05/2014 is pretty solid
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
General features:
SU, busybox etc
Stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
Enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
Custom written CRON and init.d etc
UI and graphics improvements
Custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
Halo (active display & lockscreen notifications are in review)
Usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
Animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
Additional quicksetting tiles
Immersive mode
Statusbar mods
Clock & battery mods
Lockscreen blur and other mods
Soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
Busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
yatta yatta yatta
More to come when i feel like updating the op

This ROM doesn't work with any of the MaxFor kernel. @a2441918 which other kernel would you advise to use with Vanir ?

Hey mate!
thanks for your reply. I am one of those who like to keep granular control over every aspect of the ROM from UV to sampling_rate, etc
That's the reason.
But, i am trying the ROM as is! i will let you know if i find any issues.
