Goodbye sgs2! - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Sadly, my gs2 decided to jump out of my pocket and play in the rain. Totally dead after 30 hours in rice. Moved on to the nexus 5. Just wanted to say thanks to all the devs and everyone here for keeping this trooper of a phone alive!

That's not funny.. OK its funny..
Battery life is easily the worst part of this phone. Better batteries can't come soon enough.
I typically get 16 hours of normal usage (phone, text, email). I don't constantly stream Pandora or Netflix over 3G though...
Light usage gets me 24-26 on average. Of course, I start getting nervous once the battery gets below 40%. I'm used to it dropping like a rock after that from my days on the Moment with Froyo.

Don't even say that! And I couldn't imagine samsung letting them do that. They know it would crush them. This service will never come in time for this phone but it doesn't later cause this phone had the best battery life of any phone I have used our seen hands down. With multi core processors and more energy efficient phones and this new battery technology coming it is going to be so nice. I'll want me a electric crotch rocker that will go 10x father than the beastly ones that they have now. Pros for posting this for us sir. I appreciate it

What did you spend your free $10 on?

I just recently got this phone and finally had a chance to set up Google wallet. I'm just bored and just seeing what others have spent their free $10 on. Sorry if there's already a thread, I looked and could not find one.

Haven't found a place to use it yet. The joys of living in the middle of nowhere.
Lunch at McDonalds, one of the few places in this backwards state that accepts it.
Lunch at Jack In The Box. When I payed with my phone, the cashier had a shocked look on his face

First purchase was a bag of Bugles at the BP. I walked up to the girl and asked "have you ever had anybody pay with their phone?" she looked at me weird and said "no", I said "well I'm going to try. She continued to look and me weird and said "okay, go ahead." I touched the Nexus to the PayPass and her jaw dropped, she said "wow, that's really cool, oh crap I forgot about our $3 minimum on cc purchases."
I bought tea after the gym at 7-11...the cashier wasn't surprised :/ they had seen it already.

Just a heads up this app does NOT like JRO03S at all.. consistent crashes and a horrible experience.
The game does not like my GNex, constant crashes usually always 20 mins into the game.

Man. This game is fun, but hard. I can almost get through on normal, but just keep barely missing the goal.

I beat normal lol focus on transmission and do t worry about lethality till it spreads everywhere then crank it up and watch em go lol
O.k this is kinda cool, fun to play when you're in a destructive mood! Only played 3 times lost twice on normal but wiped out the world in 540 days on casual
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Have it on iOS but on the iPod it was just too hard to play. Nexus is perfect size.
The trick on the first level is devolve symptoms immediately when they mutate until the entire planet is infected. Store up as much DNA as you can so you can become lethal as soon as you decide to pull the trigger. I had 124 DNA points when I decided to start killing everyone.
Game is superb fun. Great music too.
I've bought a few in-game purchased to help me along, the best one is to auto-pop the bubbles. I've been able to decimate the globe on casual after only playing it about 5 times, I just can't beat it on normal. Its either that I make it too lethal before it spreads everywhere or I make it spread everywhere and kill half to 3/4 of the population but then they cure it.
The game also annihilates my battery, I'm running Clemson's elite kernel and when I have the game fast-forwarded it takes up so much power that even when I have it plugged in it won't charge the battery but just sustain the current level and maybe decrease it by one or two percent!

Goodbye DINC2

I have said a sad goodbye to this great DINC2 smartphone (and my Acer Iconia A500 tablet) Going to a Samsung galaxy 2 Note for all my needs. Anyone interested in a great condition DINC2 with lots of accessories. Please PM me

No. The G2N is big enough for all my needs. Sold the tablet and the DINC2 on ebay, got enough to pay for the G2N..
Been 2 weeks now. The SGN2 is just great. Rooted with the Jellybeans Build 16 ROM. Everything works!! Smooth, incredibly fast, great battery life even with the large screen and giant processor. 4LTE is just great! Didn't even cost me anything. Sold the DINC2 and the Iconia A500, paid for the Samsung. Verizon monthly is the same as before.
ROM development for this phone is very good because it started life as a Jellybean phone, so no porting necessary..
Miss my Dinc2... Not really. Been 3 weeks. I dumped big red and got An ATt Galaxy S4. Love it.

Yeah I got this one before they announced the Google S4 variant. Kicking myself a little bit, but my Dinc2 was already on life support. So it was necessary at the time.
I just can't wait to flash good ROMs after the Google one comes out.

If I could I would but the discounts I get and the coverage beats any other carrier out there. I just picked up an incredible 4g yesterday. For free and the form factor you just can't beat. I have a 7in tablet anyhow. Adios all!

Why did you pick the inc over the razr? The razr just seems better in all ways.
I don't know man there was just something about it. It was extremely slippery to hold and I am not a case person. The screen scratched very easy and I carry it in my pocket. The phone would lag extremely bad and would glitch from time to time. I was always having to transfer downloads from internal to sdcard. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Honsestly I havent really ever been a moto fan.
