Reflash AGAIN same rom . Your baseband did not update and your status remained custom
U don`t need repartition
U must reflash 2 3 times until your baseband get updated. After that factory reset your phone and your status will be Official
I set pda in odin that time, when I reattemp is it same again?

Root should be fine. Its the custom recovery that'll prevent you from even being able to get the update.
You will lose root though unless you use voodoo rootkeeper or mobile odin pro.

Its pretty straight forward actually. There should be steps laid out in post 2 of the fw thread and I believe Theexel hasit in his thread stickied in this section.
If you have any problems let me know, but don't see a reason to retype it all again!

Along the same lines...I just got an s3 yesterday and rooted stock 4.0.4. Used OTA root keeper, downloaded the ota for JB and when I attempt to upstate it fails....I have stock recovery. No idea why it keeps failing. I would Odin the prerooted JB but my wife doesn't want to lose her settings she already set up. Any ideas?

You probably have a custom recovery causing it to fail.
Regardless of how you update you will possibly lose some settings. Its recommended, but not required to do a clean update anyway. But flashing with odin should preserve your settings as well as the ota would. Once they boot up it shouldn't matter as the resulting build is the same.

Depends if you've done anything to your current build.
Cwm will flash it, but I just don't care for it. Caused probs for quite a few people.
But you have to be full stock. No mods, no deodexing, no bloat removal, no modems flashed, etc.
Then you should be able to flash it in cwm.
Its preferred you do it through stock recovery. You can use voodoo rootkeeper to preserve root.

You have to run "triangle away" then do a factory reset and it should become normal

Get the official firmware for your country. Download ODIN and ancora.ops and flash it. Now everything is as it was before you started playing with custom roms. Check the development and general sections here on xda for howtos.

I thought our phone does not have a flash counter.. At least not counting..... There was a big discussion about it somewhere where the conclusion was that our phone does not count the flashes.

Ok, so I must have missed this discussion. Never cared about the counter because I only used Odin a few times atz the beginning. But someone who is concerned about warranty also have to care about there is a counter or not.
So have I to do just what is said in the first answer?

Yes, simply flash it with Odin. There is a counter but it doesn´t count, so nothing to worry about.

hi looking to unroot before selling and im unsure what is latest firmware if anyone can help,im on orange(ee)uk,thanks:good:
Hi tonybhoy, I don't know what the newest version is but you can update to the newest stock firmware using Kies. It will completely wipe and unroot your phone. However, keep in mind that it will not reset the flash count in Odin mode.

From what I read yes. But there are certain internal alterations that techs can see if they looked deep enough. That guide should set you straight if you're simply attempting a warranty exchange. (Depending on where you purchased device)
Thanks I also asked square trade and rooting does not void a warranty
