I've tried diff keyboards and I can't get it to work. Is this an iOS exclusive thing?

Got it working! The instructions are on the emoji keyboard app in the playstore. You need to download the custom font and place it on /system/font via root explorer.

You'll probably have to be rooted and running a stock ROM, or just the LGHome. Push the files to /system/app and reboot.

I got the lock screen off my girls g2 but it does have the weather in it anyone know what file I need to make that work

It is imbedded in the Frameworks and system ui, you are not going to get it to work easily, a lot of re coding would have to be done. Many other DEVs have tried and gave up. Search LG Weather widget for CM11, there is a working one from the LGOG, only issue is it is only 4 columns wide.
