He means that where are the wáter damage stickers where you know if the warranti is void, the sticker that when it gets wet it changes its color to see if the warranty is over.

I know that he means the indicators which you can find on the Z... ZL doesn't have those.

It is under the sim/sd door. Lift up the black paper flap that has your phone serial number and IMEI. The water damage indicator should be in a small hole on the phone body above the info sticker.

Sorry can't edit on mobile.
Be careful not to tear the info sticker. It is two layers that folds out. You should remove your sim and sd since the ends of both cards hold the top of the paper down.

where are the water stickers

hi i dont know what is swrong with my phone. screen acting funky. friend says it might got wet. but how do i know where are the stickers i cant see them
So you have developed an invisible water sticker? This is the dev section.
But your stickers would be under the battery cover. A white dot, or red if water damaged.

...you would know if you dropped it into water ... The stickers wont change colours unless your phone got soaked.

The water sticker is on the battery. Its white and usually changes checkered blue or red when wet. Also do not post questions in the development forum please, There is a Q&A forum for that.

Seriously? How is this Development? A simple Google search would tell you about the sticker.

[Q] Xperia Ion Camera broken.. how to fix?

Hey guys!
One day I woke up and I noticed all the pictures from my camera were weird.. they couldn't focus bright light properly and had a bit of a "glaze" to them. I attached some pics for example. I looked at the lens and after cleaning it found its coating was coming off. Since the Ion is my main camera, do any of you know how to fix this? It would be greatly appreciated!!
Im having the same problem. The only way to fix this is buy another back panel for your phone. Dont use any wet substance or chemicals while cleaning the lens.

nope.
I ended up calling AT&T and they'll send me a new Ion since I'm still under 1 year Warranty and this isn't considered "Physical Damage".
Right now though, I feel like selling my Ion for a HTC One Nexus Edition though... Decisions, decisions..

I had Xperia S for almost a year and didn't have such problem.
But the Ion has got this problem just in 3 months

[Q] Is the Sony Xperia Z durable?

I'm thinking of getting one on a 2 year contract, will the phone last for 2 years? I mean it's glass on the front and the back right?
And is the reception and call quality good? Can anyone tell me their experience with this phone so far?

You can post here, of course, but I'm not sure that you have a good answer to your request.
It was just a suggest
I think Xperia Z can last longer than Samsung and LG
I always fould people have their samsung screen cracked (some people say LG is weak too)
Sony phones are usually harder compared to most other brand (maybe not as hard as Nokia)
still, people usually found that XZ can be scrached easilly.
One problem of XZ is that the battery cannot be removed normally by us
Since you said u're going to use it for two years, i'm afraid the battery may get bad, then u need to pay sony for expensive replace

Yes, it's scratched easy but it has a pre installed screen protector right?
Yes, there's screen protector that can be removed. But some found that removing the screen protector will also remove the SONY logo
I actually dont mean that the screen is easy to be scrached, but some other parts of the phone
(Some people tell me about it, I'm not sure which part is it exactly)

I prefer a phone that's completely unbranded.
Whenever someone asks me what phone it is I tell them it's a Sony and they're amazed.

Can't really call it shatter proof glass if it cracks without a screen protector :/

That protector actually have another function...
Sony said that it can reduce internal reflaction of the screen to give a more clear image.
Still, I would recommend u to buy a screen protector yourself.

You will not lose warranty as far as I know
There is no danger and no anything
And plz if u are going to apply a new protector, get it applied from the person you buy it from, it is very hard to do without getting air bubbles
And also federico rotundi said JK, it means just kidding

No
There is no risk of anything
Its just that if u take the protector off, your actual screen may get scratches
So it is good to put a new protector on
Now putting the new protector on is hard because you might get air bubbles inside it which will look bad
But there is no harm to your phone in any way

Check waterproofing before use.

Hi do you think it's worth putting my phone in water just to check its waterproofing. So can send back under warranty before i start modding,
As someone at work apparently put there z1(not the compact version) in a jug of water to show off and his phone stopped working.
So i was just wondering if it was Common for waterproofing to fail on these devices, and worth checking now rather than worrying about later.
Thnx

I have read quite a few horror stories on the sony forum. I am not buying this phone to take a few silly pictures under water but just in case I need to use it under the rain or I drop it somewhere by accident. I am not gonna do any extreme tests unless I am forced to.
