I'm looking for a similar back cover like what they have on the Samsung Note 3 which has a really good grip:
for example: http://www.3g.co.uk/tinyimages/Samsung/Galaxy-Note-3-Back.jpg
I'm not looking for a case/cover, just want a replacement back cover.
The problem is I'm finding the phone hard to grip and slides off easily because of the smooth plastic back.
Looks like we are lucky: http://www.sammobile.com/2014/01/31/black-editions-of-the-galaxy-s4-and-galaxy-s4-mini-announced/
If someone will see an opportunity to buy the back cover separately, let us know!

WISHES CAME TRUE!
Now, just need to locate where I can buy just the back cover on its own...
Anyone know?
I only found bad quality custom back covers for my Samsung S4 mini. I think there isn't a good solution out there at the moment but it would be a great accessory
edit>wrong post
You can try expansys uk, They have the S4 version on pre order, I will also try to check if these are available in hong kong and china in the next few days.
Does anyone know if the Black Edition (faux leather back) is also compatible with other protective covers? (plastic (tpu) covers).
It looks like the leather back has a slightly different edge/rim height (the stitched part) compared to the standard ones

I don't have any cases to try on, but I do have the phone; the 'stitching' is just molded plastic bumps that are at most 0.5mm tall.
All cases should fit with no problem.

Thanks. (i know it's not really stitched but it was easier to point to that part by saying so )
But i did not really mean the fake stitches' height itself but the whole lowered part around the stitches, the part that takes a fall down instead of a smooth curl compared to the default edition.

It probably won't be a problem because that's not a really important part for a covers unless the leather cover also changes the thickness of the mobile.
does anyone have experience with the leather edition? like does it get hot fast?
is it recommendable? it looks nice
You can buy it in http://www.rbconnective.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=654
Here, most people from the S4 forum, have bought this cover, and looks and feels amazing!
In the image I see "duos" printed, but i don't know if it will come with or without it... I will write to clarify it.
Edit: The seller confirmed that comes with that print.

Have a question about this leather battery door... Is it really LEATHER or just hard plastic that "looks" like leather?
My reason for asking is that I have ordered one for my phone and indeed it is not leather but hard plastic
Thanks!

I know people were asking in another thread about cases, I ordered a couple a few weeks ago and just received them so I thought that i'd post some pictures and stuff. Ordering things off of ebay can be a gamble half the time but both of these cases that I ordered were worth it.
Soft Crystal Case:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360252216436
Hard Plastic Case:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180493257998
The soft crystal case is the case I am currently using, it fits perfectly. Its not loose at all and its thick enough that it would protect your phone from a fall also there is no way your case is getting scratched in this. Its got holes for the charging port, headphone jack, camera, and the speaker phone. What i really like about this case is that the butttons are covered. There is no holes for the buttons but the plastic is thinner and a little bubbled out over the buttons, you can still press them perfectly.
For the hard plastic case, as you can see in the ebay listing it is two plastic halves that clip together over the phone. I thought that this was going to make the phone very fat but it didnt at all. The plastic is very thin, and still rigid. When you put your phone in the case there is all the holes for everything including buttons. This will protect your phone and since it is more rigid than the plastic case, this might protect your screen from twisting more than the soft gel case. One problem with this case is that once its clipped on its pretty hard to take off because the clips are pretty tight. I guess this is a good thing, but if you just yank it apart the clips break.
If you are more rough with your phone I would go with the plastic case, Tho i think i prefer the gel one, It looks cooler because the back is sort of see through.
heres the link to an album with all the pictures.

Thank you! I'm going to buy the Soft Gel case
Awesome. THanks for the review. Those are the same cases here
http://www.netimes.com/shop/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-c-70_748.html
I just ordered 1 along with a 10 pack of screen protectors.
Hey every1, is the soft case similar to a silicone case in feeling? thanks!
btw... how much was shipping? How long did it take?
Yes similar but a lot thicker, more hard rubber feeling, like a hard gel. Shipping took like 8/10th days to get to my house in Toronto, I believe shipping was free.
I ordered from the netimes site on Monday. The package arrived this morning ( very fast! ). The shipping was 19 bucks, but I ordered a few other things for my phone and the wifes.
I just used the HTC G1 pouch, and it's the perfect size

Where'd you find a red hard-gel case? The only ones I've seen in read seem to be hard plastic shells.

Well, since he seems to be from Japan, I bet he was talking about this one:
http://en.item.rakuten.com/keitai/111-986224/
Looks more like a hard-plastic shell rather than a "gel case".
I did notice on eBay a number of sellers selling cases very similar to those however, available in red, blue, and black. Prices are in the $5.00 USD incl. shipping.
I ordered the rubberized hard case. I will post pics when I get it.

Actually the circles look really good, especially since the case is sort of see through u can still see the Sony logo and xperia through the case.

yea I don't really like the circles too much either but I have already ordered ones that are just clear. I will post pictures of those up once I get them next week.
how much did you pay for the ones without the circles?
i only found one seller on ebay with those and i got it for around 6 bucks usd.
It wasn't expensive. If you want to get the ones without the circles, I got them here:

The current best flip cases for any galaxy note I guess.
It also doubles as a light wallet.
I have a zenus case for my Galaxy Tab 7 and it is very good quality.
Just what I was after, only I've already bought a separate stand and case now.
That's what I'm looking for as well -- protection, wallet, and stand all in one classy package!
Unfortunately I already ordered an Easecase leather case/wallet. It won't have the flap this one does, but at least it won't get in the way of the camera for quick pic taking...

They look pretty but I generally don't recomment flip cases with card compartment inside as they'll leave annoying marks on the screen.
I am intersted in the carbon one but it uses a magnetic clip and after so much discusion on it I am becoming paranoid.
for features i want the ostrich, but only features, gawd its sooo ugly, not even and good colors, i would almost prefer alligator or something, BUT it has no dumb magnetic clasp, that would needed to be folded back to prevent it from interfearing with the screen all the time, and it has an earpiece cut out!! that would be a DEF in my book for any flip cover, sooo, i dont know, its a lot of money for a pimply cover

How do you know it uses magnetic?
Adding the VERUS brand to this topic. Similar cases.
I had once one of theirs for S2 (J style leather with no flip) the quality was medium at best, because the leather is stuck to a plate of plastic by some gum, and over 2 months most of the gum of corners just goes away and reveals the edges of the black plastic plate in an ugly fashion. So unless you take the BLACK color (so the edges worning off won't be noticable I'd be cautious with this brand if I were you. But it's quite cheap.
But I may be mistaken since it happened on a red S2 one without a flip, maybe they fixed the issue, or maybe the flip will protect the leather gummy insertion from pocket friction.

Another funny cover with kickstand I found http://cgi.ebay.fr/Folid-Stand-Leat...740?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f10e5037c
Ordered a black VERUS one because :
- cheaper
- no latch
- covers front (screenbreaking corners) and back corners in case it falls opened (zenus only does the back corners)
Will post a vidéo review of it in two weeks when I recieve it.

ClassicK uses magnets isn't it?
Looks like only the versus K protects the corners of the phone.
Most of the cases out there for the note leave the 4 corners exposed, they are the most likely to first impact the ground when you drop the phone. Those looking for cases for their notes need to find cases that also cover/protect the corners of the phone.
Just my 2 cents from past experiences.

For those who bought or ordered zenus diary case, don't forget to check if s pen works properly with magnet in case. In Korea one user found out that there is dead zone when using s pen due to interference from magnet and manufacturer knows that and asking users to return and get fixed one.
They said they almost collected cases which have the issue but who knows.
I will keep eye on it and will decide whether I buy or not

I ordered one of these 0.3mm "thin" cases the other day and it arrived today. Initially it feels quite weird and paper like out of the packing but once on the phone it feels pretty good. It has about the same protection as the official mesh case and there is a small lip above the screen bezel that it wraps around so isn't going to pop off if dropped like the official case does.
It is matte textured so won't get finger marks or grease marks and also the bump in the speaker area is less pronounced than other cases so feels sleeker in the hand. It works perfect with the extended battery!
Yes it's very thin and I don't know how much it will protect against heavy impacts like the Walnutt bumper case (in the pictures) but the phone keeps its thinness with this and to the untrained eye it doesn't look like the phone is in a case at all. It is semi translucent so the Samsung logo from the battery cover shows through as well whch sort of adds some authenticity.

1: Perhaps you missed the bit in bold. Read post #1 again!
2: It is the Walnutt bumper case as discussed in the other thread on the first page of this forum.
Does this work with the Genuine Samsung Car Dock do you know?
Was wondering about this. I have one of them thin cases, and was thinking of getting a extended battery.

i have already buy this on ebay , i wait for shipping
Me too. Can't wait - Looks great!...
On such a thin phone, a thick case feels so out of place....
Compared to the official Samsung case, do you find it more grippy?
Also, how do you find the alignment with the microphone holes?
It's not rubber so it's less grippy, even the Walnutt bumper case has more grip.
Ah damn. I'm just looking for the thinnest case possible to increase the grippiness of the phone! I've got the official case already.
Thanks.
EDIT: Ended up buying it anyway, $2.22 delivered .
bought one too from ebay for 2.28 delivered , nice find
same...
always follow robbies posts on ocuk forum, so i know its worth a punt
Going to sound like a stupid question, but,
What keyboard do you have in the picture?
Haha
I have one of these, bought it off eBay for 99p and I must say it feels very cheap because it is very cheap. This is ideal for just dust protection, the material is just a thin layer of sheeeet, however I wasn't expecting much from it, so you shouldn't either.
bought one. thanks!!
Hi guys,
Just wanted to write a quick review of a case I bought on eBay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190823724544?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Fits all variants of the OG except for the AT&T OG (8MP camera)
Very good for $7 ($3.50 each) - I bought the black and blue.
Cutouts for camera / flash / speakers / ports well done.
Cut out for 3.55m jack more than enough to accommodate jacks with the big outer shell, if you know what I mean.
Case fits very well. No chance of falling out.
Installation was very easy.
The finish on the back feels good to the touch and rubbery side grips are good, much better than the nude slippery glass of the OG to hold now lol.
If you want a cheap case that covers the back & sides, this is the one to go to. Good for Aussies who are looking for a case!
Here's some pictures I took of it

Yeh I bought this case in a local mall close by to me.. Was surprised to see it considering the lack of cases available. Have had it on my G for the past few months and its been a treat.. Actually have dropped my phone twice with it on and its been perfect so far
My only gripe is that the elevated edges makes my screen get dirtier faster and makes it harder to clean.. Otherwise its a great case
Oooo I like the purple colour in the auction pics, but then they have a video of some silicon cases and they look ugly as and really transparent? Wonder if they would ship to NZ
im using the same case but a transparent 1  got it FOC from the stall
L-01E
Do you guys think this could fit a Japanese-spec OG; an L-01E?
Would it rip into the sceen protector and cause bubbles like most of my other cases?
Nope.using this case since i bought the phone.i like it because it's protecting the silver frame.

Just got me a black and blue one, perfect, except the buttons are a bit touchy but you get that.
I've got this tpu case and it shows a smooth finish, the holes are really well done, but I fell the buttons a bit dull, I don't know how to explain. For example, I have some difficulty to take screenshots pressing the Vol Down and Power buttons at the same time. Power button is not so easy to use.
This case looks like to offer a very good protection to the phone. I hope I won't need to prove it...

I have the same case (black). I love it. Fits perfectly. Recently I accidentally dropped my phone on a concrete surface. If I was without a case, the glass or the metalic part were goners. But with this case it was fine. Just wiped the dust.

I still have not, it just not a priority as I'm happy with the cases that I have now. But I am very curious of the quality myself.
.
I have bought a couple for my gf's note1 and my razr phone. The case is so so, and the sides of the case are white despite the design of the back being colored.
I Bunch of cool designs wish they have a front protector built in to protect the screen when not in use

I did order one, it took about 10 days for delivery to USA from the UK.
I got the purple one shown above, it is very thin with the bottom and top edge completely open.
The sides wrap around the front to attach the case. The design coating on the back feels tacky and less likely to slip from your hand.
The inside of the hard back is white and the right and left sides have a strip that is about 3/16 that is also white.
Did not expect much for the price, and I probably got my moneys worth.

Would you say this is decent enough protection for while it's in use, and should still be put in a sleeve or other case when tossed in a bag?
Do you happen to also have the keyboard dock? If not, does it appear to add too much thickness to be able to dock while still protected? That's my only complaint about my folio case, is having to remove it from the holder whenever I want to use the keyboard dock. I figure it's only a matter of time before the case holder snaps or something from the constant in/out

There is no screen cover or protection. You would have to use a sleeve to travel with it. I do not have a keyboard dock but it may work.
I use it when at home while playing racing games, my 360 case is just to bulky and awkward when playing these types of games. I don't have to worry about setting in down for a few minutes on a hard surface if I need to take a call or something like that. I also have a jelly case that just covers the back but this one is much thinner. It is about 3/64 of an inch thick.
