I think that you were not supposed to use TWRP 2.6.3.0. The correct version is 2.6.3.2. Not sure how to fix your current problem, though.

this message is normal to see if you have twrp installed and try to enter recovery or if you have cyanogen mod 11. Also update your twrp with version 2.6.3.2

Except he says he sees the message every time he power's on the phone. Does CM do that?

yes its normal if you have cm11 to see this message everytime you boot the gpad, it just means that loki is working. Now if he has stock rom it isnt normal to see this message except for when he does the button combo to enter recovery.

[Q] Can boot into Recovery, can't flash rom

So my note 2 had been working very well, but just the other night it turned off and then was stuck at the Samsung logo screen. I attempted to boot into recovery, but it would freeze at the TWRP logo screen. I decided to Odin a new recovery and put the latest version of TWRP on there. I can now boot into recovery, but it asks for a password. I assumed I had just used a bad version, so I tried several others which resulted in the same outcome. Pressing cancel lets me get into TWRP, and it seems as though I can browse files, but trying to perform any other action gives an error message saying that TWRP cannot find the partition for data, system, and a few others.
Is the phone dead? Or is there something I can do to bring it back to life?

Try to flash a stock rom with Odin.
If this does not work you are facing a compareable problem to mine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440687 .
Maybe you find a way to get it work in this link.
Sounds like SDS

I really hope it isn't SDS. I can odin a recovery onto the phone, but so far other odin-able images just fail. I'm downloading a pure factory image currently and will check to see how that works,

Stuck in Download Mode

Hello everyone,
i have big problems with my optimus g (e975). Yesterday i wanted to install the newest nightly of cm. To do so, i have to update the clockwork recovery mod (after whipe of my old cm version i got an error, so i must update the recovery). The short log after execute this update shows no error. I thought it was successful.
But after that, i was not able to boot into recovery again. Every time i got an boot loop with the LG logo.
So i have following state:
CWM -> not working
And no rom installed.
This morning i wanted to install the offical kdz with the LG flash tool. But i got an error every time it wants to extract the file (Windows says: Application doesn't work)
Now i see only the DOWNLOAD MODE Text on my screen. I am not able to boot into recovery. Every time i see only this download mode screen.
Does anyone has a suggestion for me?
Thank you!

Follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44874388&postcount=36
The kdz installer will provide you the options
CS_Emergency
Diag
Emergency
Try flash using diag (you can also use cs_emergency).. Sometimes it requires to be flashed a couple of times to work but if you wipe data after the install its almost 100% first time.

Try installing msxml which is in the same folder with the kdz updater.
Oh thought it said that in the guide: ) .. install msxml before running kdz like furkandeger says

thank you guys for the answers.
I actually have installed the msxml.msi. But the "application closed" error still apears.
@krishnanmailbox1: I have already tested this. I have all necessary drivers installed, but my phone will not be detected. Because if i start the recovery after a few minutes a error appears. But i will give this another try this afternoon. Thank you!

It's because the file size is larger than 1GB. I tried with this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45293512&postcount=1 using method 1 and it worked.

[Q] LG G Pad 8.3 secure booting error cause boot certification verify

Hi,
I want to flash my device to Android 4.4.4 Stock Android(Who likes this annoying LG Bloatware?).
When i wanted to get into Recovery Mode using TWRP the LG Logo pops up and in the top-right corner stands:
"secure booting error cause boot certification verify".
I tried everything i know to get into recovery mode, but nothing helped.
Go through the "first time" recovery manual installation procedure found in the CWM thread for the v500. I'm assuming you have a v500.
I have this problem too. Lg gpad 8.3 vk 810

Thanks a million, after hours trying every single method I found across the Web, this was the only thing that managed to get TWRP 2.8 on my v50020d 4.4.2.
It would be interesting though for us to let us know what exactly is that, because I found many people with the same problem than me, and this appears to be the only solution

Well, my problem it was I was using this method (the only one which do not gave me any explicit error) to install TWRP, and when rebooting to recovery it was always loading the stock recovery. That app solved me that instantaneously.
I was a little scared to see first the message "secure booting error, device unlock, so boot success" but it did loaded after TWRP. I guess that is supposed to be that way.
Yep @Maxxd01 That "secure booting error, device unlock, so boot success" it means it bypass ur bootloader to boot into custom recovery

So,in my stupidity to install an ota update after rooting my phone,I managed to get it stuck in a bootloop. Now I followed some guides on the internet, downloaded the pre-rooted images, but fastboot doesnt want to flash system.img. I tried to download the img from different sources, none worked. The error just says cannot load system.img.I installed fastboot with the 15 second installer,I havent done any other modifications besides rooting and I cant even access recovery mode,it just shows me error in red text.Is there anything I can do myself or do I need to send my phone in service? Thanks! btw the model is ZE551ML

Hello there,
Few days ago, I had the same problem. But luckly I found a way to fix it. I was so desperate.
1) Download "CWM Zenfone_2_Intel"
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/w70...5840/Zenfone_2
Then unzip
2) Go in fastboot mode in your Zenfone 2, and connect it to your PC
3) In the downloaded folder, run "cai_dat_CWM.bat"
4) Type ACCEPT
Then Enter
5) Then if the script is blue, that's perfect. Type T4, Enter, and normally your Zenfone will reboot in CWM Recovery Mode.
6) If that worked, download the ROM stock on the Asus Website, copy it on the SD Card, then flash it from the CWM Recovery Mode.
This method fix my bootloop, but a brick I don't know...
If it didn't work, try to install "15 seconds adb installer"

Today's CM14 bricked my H815 (no bootloader, no fastboot, no recovery)

Hi,
My H815 always suffered from this problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/fastboot-download-mode-problem-t3466649 - the only way I could have fastboot was from an adb shell.
Well, that was not a problem until today: CM14's nightly broke (booting just loops at the moving logo) and now I have no way to go back to fastboot. And if I try the recovery mode, I just have a blurry circle saying "erasing" for a few seconds, then a looping CM logo.
Anyone has a way out of this mess ?

When you say you try the recovery mode how do you try to get into it? Btw do you have twrp installed?
Same thing happened to me, tried to install, just got put straight back in to TWRP after boot. Tried installing a stock ROM, CM ROM & using LG Bridge to recover, to no avail. Help appreciated, (i'm assuming LGUP is going to come up a lot)

Sorry, it's nearly the same issue though, CM14.1 broke phones today.
Today's update broke mine as well. Looking for solutions. Will follow your thread and progress.
Same for me. Tried download mode with lgup to flash stock which worked once - but I kind of bricked it again by trying to install cm14.1 again. Then i tried to go back to stock using lgup again, but now lgup it just crashes. The phone now goes automatically to download mode after turning it on, the progress bar stays at 0%, the phone says "633A B100" and lgup crashes after 9% "prepare dlmode" or something similar. any ideas? :/
Some people seem to have fixed this issue by flashing the official Cyanogenmod Recovery.

After flashig the CM Recovery via TWRP, i can't use the recovery anymore. If i boot into CM-Recovery the display shows "Ereasing" and start the system. After that i got a bootloop.
Is it possible to use fastboot??
You guys should also check CM14.1 thread because people there are talking about the same problem. The latest post says the only solution was to flash an official kdz with LGUP.

Did that. Worked once. Then i tried to flash cm again and had the same problems, so i wanted to flash stock again... now lgup crashes at 9% and the phones goes directly to download mode after turning it on.

Yes, it was with cm recovery 20161130, if i remember correctly.
Sadly now, i can not go into fastboot. The phone goes directly into download mode. My windows vm detects the phone, and tries to flash a recent kdz, but lgup crashes at 9%. The phone still shows "0%".
Oh that's bad. What about another kdz ?

Already tried like 3-4.... Its always the same. If the tool would at least give me a little bit more information, but it just stops.
I don't know then. Some users seem to have had the same problem (stuck at 9%) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/search/forum/4233?query=lgup 9%
I had the same issue, tried several things, my final solution was:
- Start in download mode (Volumen up and then plug in cable)
- use "LG Brigde" on Mac to install stock Rom ( Software update tab in APP ) guess should also work with Windows
- Boot original android
- enable usb debug
- Start bootloader via ADB
- fastboot flash recovery to twrp 3.0.2
- Boot in recovery via power and vol down (first factory reset from stock appears but after this twrp is starting)
- install cm nighty of 1 DEC via ADB sideload
- reboot and done
In the meantime i updated to twrp 3.0.2-1., installed gapps etc. everything is now working fine again.
Hope this is also working for you.
Which version of cm14 did u download and install? Can u please post the exact version?
Mmh ... LGUP is the Windows utility right ? How do I do if I only have a Linux machine ?

I'm trying to get to it via power+down, I get to the double "do you want to factory reset ?" question, but then :
- sometimes the CM recovery just says "erasing" for a few seconds and reboots to (non-working) CM
- sometimes it just plainly boots to (non-working) CM
I used to have TWRP installed but it didn't work with CM update, so I let CM install its own recovery.
