I did a search on the forums to no avail. Wondering if any of the CM 11 / GPe / AOSP roms have Apps 2 SD? I want to upgrade but not being able to save space by moving the apps is a dealbreaker for me. Don't know if some roms may have it, or it generally isn't in yet for KitKat.

Hi all,
I can't help it, but I just prefer the HTC roms above the custom ones.
For me there are two downfalls in the use of the official HTC GB.
1- the missing of Sense 2.1
2- individual stock apps aren't updated to there latest versions. (gallery, internet etc.)
The whole memory issue I will leave out of this discussion for now.
I will probably try to root my desire with the new tool from Revolutionary any time soon. After that I will try to fix the two issues.
Where can I find, and how do I install the latest versions of the stock apps. Dose anyone keeps a database of some sort of these updates stock apps? Can I install these on the current sense 2.0 or do I have to have 2.1 for this?
I tried to dissect a sense rom, but it's just not working out. I don't know which apk's are what.
Several threads speak of removing certain apps, but I can't seem to find much about updating the apk's.
Tnx a lot!
Guys i just recently became a proud owner of a Galaxy note 2 AT&T edition and so far i love the phone. It's been unlocked and rooted with a cleanrom ACE 4.7.0 and i wanted to know have they released a proper app2sd patch for it?How to update cleanrom? And also is cleanrom the best rom for note2 because i've been having some lag issues in some of the softwares and was wondering would the stock rom be better?I know i'm talking like a noob but that's coz i am,I have no idea where to search for this stuff on this expansive forum so please help me
Well if you want to search, google is a good place to start.
AFAIK there isn't a app2sd patch for this device.
To update cr you just need to go to Scott's roms webpages and download the updated version, transfer to your sd card, boot in recovery and flash. Make sure to read the op in the thread for recommended wiping instructions.
As far as the "best" rom, it's all about personal preference. I prefer cr over all others because I want a stock experience with out the bloat and add some goodies. But you'll get a hundred different people saying that xyz rom is the best for abc reasons.
Lag can be caused by a number of things... It can be apps open or processes hanging. Usually a clean install of your rom will clear it up. If it persist than try another TW rom. If you still see it then try an AOSP or AOKP rom. It's all about finding what works best for you.

I have a rooted n5110 4.2.2 note 8.0
first of all I'm not a noob. However I have been spoiled. Up till nowi have had Motorola decices that have great apps like rom manager and team black hat leaks to help you decide what roms to flash.
I'm at a loss when it comes to all the options in this forum. I see some roms based on 4.2.2; 4.3 and isn't CM 11.0 based on 4.4? If I flash a 4.3 rom and dont like it cani flash a 4.2 rom or restore a backup to get 4.2.2 back? That was a big no no wirh moto devices. Once you upgraded you had to stay less you got a hold of the spf file.
Ive looked into both PAC rom and CM rom: the stable and nightly versions of both. I know nightlies may be unstable so I would stay away from them less it is easy to flash back to a 4.2.2 stable release. And downloaded the right gapps package. Why cant developers just included that in the roms?
So a bit of help please. What are the differences between the 4.2.2; 4.3 and is CM 11 based on 4.0?
I also use twrp as a recovery but have used cwm in the past. I habe both onmy sdcard in case of trouble.
any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Come on....anybody?

Hi there. I just want to flash the latest version of stock Android (L if possible, KitKat otherwise). The Google Now launcher isn't enough; I want the improved performance and efficiency and I want all the useless Samsung apps off my phone. After I root my phone, where do I get a simple stock ROM? All I can seem to find are custom ROMs with all kinds of mods. I just want stock Android or a very lightly-modified alternative. As far as I can tell right now the closest ROM would be CM.
Thanks.
Just FYI, you should only ask your question once. Asking multiple times often just serves clutter and confusion.
All available roms will be in the development and original development sections. Not sure if L is being worked on or not tbh.

Did the G3 even get 4.4.4 ?
Just searched for the term 4.4.4 but not a lot showed up in the results. Not had this G3 long, still not sure I even like it after coming from a Nexus 4 with 2 years trouble-free usage, the lag from this G3 occasionally annoys me and I feel like going back to my Nexus 4.
This is, I value xposed framework, app compatibility, and stability more than just having the latest thing. Lollipop isn't bad, chupa chups(?) Is great but not enough to give up the above.
Another thing, I still don't have any updates showing up in software updates, on 4.4.2 UK 855 G3 on 3 network, only LG ones.
So, are there any decent 4.4.4 ROMs? And would a dirty flash over 4.4.2 be OK?
Many thanks for any help.
John.
There are, as of now, no stock or custom 4.4.4 based ROMs. LG skipped 4.4.4 and went from 4.2.2(or 4.4.2, please correct me if I'm wrong)->5.0.
Went straight from 4.4.2 to 5.0
Theres the cloudyg3 rom (the previous version of the rom is kitkat) but with no further development since it went to lollipop.
You have to go with the upgrades ,i dont like myself LL but we have to move forward
I appreciate that we cannot dwell in the past but Lollipop on G3 just ain't ready for primetime, and could be many updates away from getting there. Kitkit runs better than most admit, has the best compatibility, best battery life, and has xposed.
With some tweaks, scripts installed such as the mem script, and lots of bloat removed or disabled, KitKat runs really well. And I believe there can be more done to it, more tweaks, more bloat disabled - I still see quite a few apps running that could possibly be removed.
