Are you trying this with the v500 or v510? If you are using the v500 I go to settings and then about tablet (doing this from memory my tablet is at home) and then update center, choose software update followed by check now. My device is not rooted or changed from stock (other than some apps installed) have you done any changes?
I do not get a not registered message using this approach...

[Q] GPE Version returned from repair with LG Rom. How can i replace it|

I sent in my LG G Pad 8.3 GPE (v510) for a speaker issue and just received it back. The speaker has been replaced and it is working fine right now but the tablet was returned with the LG Rom instead of the pure Android. The software version is V51010a_1014 based on 4.4.2
I was wondering if I could get it back to pure edition without dealing with the LG Repair service.

If the bootloader can be unlocked, then yes. There is a whole thread in the general section on how to unlock, root, and install recovery. You can then make a backup and flash either Kitkat or lollipop.

Interesting, does it have the LG remote software, and does it work? I did not know that there was a LGified version of the GPE tablets floating around...

Yes, it does have LG remote and a bunch of other LG apps.I am also thinking that this was intentional as the rom version starts with GPE version model number v510. (V51010a_1014*)
However the remote app won't start, I keep getting the app stopped error.

If you can, try and make a backup of the lg ROM before you install gpe software. It would cool to see if I could restore it as a back up and see if it boots up.

Unfortunately I sent it back to the repair center. I tried every possible option I read in the thread that was mentioned above to unlock the bootloader but nothing worked. I don't if that had anything to do with the version loaded as it was different than the others (V51010a_1014*)

Bluetooth after Android 6 update and root

Hi,
updated my LG G4 H815 to Android 6 using LG Bridge. After the update I rooted it.
Root works fine. But I encountered a problem with my bluetooth today. I switch it on, but it does not work.
No previously pared devices are found and I cannot search for other devices because the search-button is not enabled.
Has somebody the same problem? Is it because of Android 6 or the rooting? If bluetooth works on an unrooted devices
I can go back an also unroot my phone, but if it is a Android 6 problem - then it s***ks...

Goran

Which rooted Kernel? 20B or 20A? I had the same with 20A (new version) rom and the old 20A kernel.

Which 20a? Original (old) or from last week? I installed 20b with the matching kernel (20b).
Goran,
How did you root it?

Well, I found a site, where a kernel root was provided. I flashed it using TWRP.
So everything works fine, except the Bluetooth. And I got some problems with my SDcard.
The LG showed me a notification that the SDcard is damaged. After I format it, it's still mentioned as damaged.
Then I formated it on my laptop as a FAT and now it works... I guess this is also due to the wrong kernel...
I will reset to stock factory by using LG Bridge. If the problems are gone, I will reconsider to root it...
You should update to 20B . Just follow the "Super Duper Safe Install Directions". I had the same problems and could fix it, following those instructions.

So I tried to flash just the 20b-kernel. Unfortunately after flashing bluetooth still did not
work - I guess I had to flash all the files. Anyway, I updated my phone using LG Bridge
to stock rom. Now my bluetooth works again. Also my SDcard is recognized and formatted
by the phone. I think I will stay with the unrooted phone...
Thanks to all

missing update

Hello,
I just received a refurbished phone LG-d855 and checked it really is this version using http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/refurbished-fake-lg-g3-check-available-t3254928
But the problem is that i'm stuck on androiv 4.4.2
(build KVT49L, software V10N-GLBAL-COM, if this helps )
What can be done to show the update "check for updates" or something like that.
I want to get the OTA for marshmallow
Thanks,
Eli.

There is no ota for mm. You have to flash kdz file. Instructions can be found all across g3 xda network.
Sent from LG D855

thanks, but what i saw looks like i have to have some background knowledge.
Is there a guide for dummies to do it? (step by step)
also, I need an option for Hebrew and Russian on the phone operation system (android) language.....
by the way, if there is a way to install some kind of mode that will make the phone take OTA i'd prefer it so I won't have to deal with it....
p.s
what if I use this method: http://lgg3root.com/lg-g3-root/how-to-unrootunbrick-lg-g3/
will it work? will it get the OTA of android 5 now and when the marshmellow arrives, it will get it as well?
Afraid to do it before I know it'll work. please advice
Anyone?

Cannot root D855 with TowelRoot on 4.4.2, did I buy a fake?

Just says my device isn't supported. I bought this phone on eBay.
- Using LG From Tool, it claims it's authentic.
- Using CPU Z, it claims I have a Qualcomm CPU.
- Camera seems OK.
- I cannot download updates, it says I'm using the latest firmware. (Phone arrived with 4.4.2)
I followed this nice tutorial here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/refurbished-fake-lg-g3-check-available-t3254928
My result was the build number "KVT49L.A1413976435". Apparently this means I have a genuine device.
So.. why can't I root it or receive updates? Is it a super-fake? Haha.
Thank you.

Try using King Root.
This worked, thanks! Can I safely remove the KingRoot app now? Do you know why I can't download the updates from software center?

Well sometimes you need to manually upgrade your phone via PC a program from LG "LG PC Suite".(Many other people have the same issue as you)
No you can't remove " king root" you should install Autorec(mobile application) and install TWRP then you should follow this↓
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/root-twrp-marshmallow-d855-30b-t3286268/page107
Yes it's for marshmallow but you can follow that guide to install SuperSU.
I installed TWRP and flashed CloudyG3. Had some issues with Fulmic and another rom, but this cloudy works. Guess I have a genuine phone. Great!
I was a little suspicious when the Ebay seller had 3 "brand new" G3s left, after I ordered, they updated their stock to 10. It appears mine is brand new though not a refurb, unless it's an excellent refurb.
