Hi,
I bought my mother Samsung Galaxy S4 mini 9195, she enjoy it only the speaker is very low (yes, I done all the standards settings) and she can hardly hear it rings.
I thought to buy her a small Bluetooth device she can put in her purse so she can hear the ringer loudly.
The only limitation I thought (beside she must charge the batteries regulars) is that this speaker will not only ring louder (as it should be) but rather announce the conversation itself (what I don’t want).
I do hope you might help here(device/setting).
PS
I don't have the ability (guts) to root the phone and install app like Volume+ etc.
Best Regards,
Danny

Create a folder "Ringtones" on a SD card and copy different ringtones (search on internet) into that folder. Insert the SD card to the phone and the new tones will appear on the selection menu. You can try picking the loudest ones for your mom. Good luck.

By the way since the phone itself is slim and small, perhaps it works better by hanging it on the neck and use the vibration as incoming call alert.

Hi,
Good day to all!
Is there a way I can change the sound the phone makes when I give someone a call, or at least increase the volume?
I am using Dutty's 1.8 and I find that the volume of that 'ring' isn't quite loud enough...
BTW, just to be clear, I am referring to the sound teh device makes when you place a call (outgoin call) and are waiting for your teh other person to pick up.
I, of course know how to customize my rings and alerts and so on...
So, if anyone has an idea...?
are we allowed to 'Bump' here?
(sorry if I wasn't)
Surely this sound comes from the operator? Every country is different.
I doubt it, as on the HD, I have a different sound when I call a mobile than when I call a landline.
Also, I owned the HTC touch before, same operator, and the sound was quite different.
Also, my girlfriend is on the same operator, different mobile (nokia), and the sound she gets is also different (tune and volume are much better (to my ears anyway )
Given this, I am pretty sure there's a way to customize the 'outgoing calls' sound.
Anyone?
I have 2 questions, if y'all have the time...
1) What is the MAX speed class of the MSD card that phone can use?
2) Is there anyway to delete the bloatware that T-Mobile loaded to the phone.
Thank you in advance for your assistance with these questions.
1) Class 6 if I'm not mistaken
2)It's kind of hard, since they're installed in /system, but once we have a more complete root process it'll be a breeze.
Thanks for the Help there, But now I have a new problem..
I have a Plantronics 390, Bluetooth Earbud, when I was using my old phone (Nokia 8283) I would get my ring tone in the earbud.. With my MTS I only get 2 short, quiet beeps, then a Pause and repeat. How do I change it so that my Ring tone goes thru the earbud again??
Thanks for the Help..

as far as i know this can't be done. if you had stereo bluetooth it may work like that, but i personally like the way it is now and so i have never really looked around to see if it can be done
The Reason,
The reason that I ask is that, I drive commercial truck for a living, and it is loud in the cab, almost totally overloading the tone in the headset, with my old ring tone I could hear it just fine.. Is there a Application out there that could handle this? Like something that could lock the headset mode selector to emulate stereo mode??

No need for extra ringer. Get her something like this: http://www.amazon.com/OXA-Bluetooth-Wristwatch-Vibration-Smartphones/dp/B00HQZU8H2/
She will wear it as a bracelet, it will vibrate on incoming ring and show the called id number. This is "basic" smartwatch I use smartwatch everyday so I never miss a call because it shows called id and vib on call. For someone who doesn't need complicated setup of smartwatch, such minimum smart bracelet will do the job!
WOo, this is the first time that I heard this product,:crying:
Are all these phones quite or is it just mine? Alarms are quiet, can barely hear ringtones and notifications. Vibration is weak as well, which causes me to miss calls while in pocket. Don't get me wrong, I love this phone. But my HTC ,10 had loud ringtones and mortifications.

Mine too, I can't bearly hear it so I changed the ringtone from the other phone I have

Might try that.
Agreed, the external speaker volume is dismal at best. I could not even hear the phone ear piece until I flashed Elemental X which allows for ear piece gain... However no gain for external speakers yet.
i have recently had this problem as well. get it replaced. theyll send you a new one overnight if you got one through verizon. mines would be loud initially but after a while it was quite.
My problem is that there is one volume slider for both the ringtone and notification sounds. This is quite limiting (I feel like this was not linked in earlier versions so either they are taking features away or are simplifying things).
Does anyone have any magic tools to un-link these volumes so I can make my ringtone max and notification volume at 50%?

No, that is how stock android is. Other devices, like a Samsung may seperate them. But google leaves them linked by default.
As far as changing that... I really don't know. I leave my phone on vibrate all the time because I have a smart watch that vibrates on my wrists and I can check messages without even taking phone out of pocket.

Yes. I had an issue where if you continuously press the home button it would start out as a decent volume and then decrease. But when any type of audio would play it was super low.

I found a solution to this problem... Volume Butler! It's great, and does exactly what I need it to do (without even buying the "pro" version).

My sounds were all too low for me, i downloaded some iPhone MSG / alarm sounds as well as a Air horn sound and all those sound that i downloaded are much much louder then the default sounds
for me it seems that its something with the software because the speaker is very loud but, for example i download a song, listen to it and it plays very loud but if i set it as ringtone its very low when my phone rings. i was searching in the settings if there is anything to disable but cant find anything
Vibration power on this phone sucks.
I've had the 32gb and 128gb and they were both the same.
I setup the Moto X Pure 2015 for a friend last week.
I used it a half-day to ensure all was working fine.
And realized how much I really miss a proper vibration out of a phone.
Can't stand missing calls in loud places because I didn't notice the phone vibrate in my pocket.
As for ringtones - there are louder ones out there.
I attached a couple of loud ones in the zip.
I setup a Tasker profile to change to one or the other when I'm at parties or other loud places.

Thank you for posting them. The standard Pixel XL ringtones wouldn't wake up a light sleeper on the loudest setting, and most are tunes are kind of dreamy and sleepy. Its been so annoying finding replacement sounds, I installed Alarmy just to get louder sounds and of course soon after my network log starts spiking like crazy, with Alarmy opening multiple connections to facebook/google/etc sending off my data. Out of the entire Pixel XL forum your post was the only one I could find with links to sounds to download that I can load into the standard clock.
Many many tanks, now can get rid of another 3rd party crapware that slurps data like crazy.
When I have my headphones plugged in and my phone (Moto Z [griffin] LOS16.0) rings, I often can not hear the ringtone, because it is on the loudspeaker, not on the headphones.
If I am sensitive enough, I can feel the vibration, but more often than not, I just miss the call.
From former phones on stock ROM I was used to have the ringtone on my headphones when they were plugged in.
I have searched the phone's preferences and this forum, but have not come up with a solution.
This two year old post implies that it used to work the way I expected it:

But when I put it aside sometimes the phone rings and I don't hear it because the ringtone is played through the earphones too.
Is it possible to have the phone ringing on the loudspeaker and then switch sound to headset as soon as I accept a call?
