YEEEEESSSSS!!!!
It is sooooo annoying!!!!
When your looking through the viewfinder when in video capture mode, the dots bounce around...
Its weird i thought they were specs on the lens, or maybe even behind the lense, but the way they move around while in video mode makes me clueless!
Unfortunately it's a hardware issue and u have to send it back to Sony replace/Repair the phone. If it's under warranty, it will be replaced free of cost. But don't forget to backup ur Data first
Hope it helps, if it does, u know where the thanks button is.

So when I look at myself using the front facing camera it looks right. Then when I snap the picture it flips. On my EVO it did not do this. I looked in the settings to see if it was something I could change but I did not see anything. This is really annoying to me.
Am I missing it or is there a workaround out there?

The flip is to adjust it like a mirror.
Have you not figured it out?

What? My previous phone did not do this. I just want this phone to exhibit the same behavior.

The front camera shows a mirror image, but when you take a pic it takes it as the camera sees it, so you are actually taking a self portrait.
IIRC, the Evo would always take a mirror image with the front camera.
So are you saying you want to take a pic with your front camera and see it as a mirror image? The camera won't do this that I can see, but you can easily flip the pic with the photo editor app that comes on the E4GT.

Why do you want such a feature? O_ o.... that makes absolutely no sense to me, when you can just take the image you took, and flip it with any or current pic editor, i understand that you might want it automated, but..er.. what i don't get is why would you want such a feature lol.
Look for my fixed camera in the apps and themes forum. The international galaxy s2 has this as an option. The zip I posted will give you what your looking for.
This bugs me as well...

Thanks.... Your modified camera fixed it! Also, like that when selecting the focus point, the flash lights up to capture focus. I didnt see that feature in the stock camera but its nice for taking a picture in dim lit areas where it can be hard to focus.
When I open my camera app to take a picture I get a weird blob. Has anyone has this issue?
Mines fine

I get a pink center when taking pictures in incandescent light. Hear it's pretty common though.

I think it might be my camera, but I don't want you take it back. I think I got one of the good screens,I can't see the blobs or lines on the screen at the lowest brightness. Only when I really look at it in the dark but there's still barely any lol.

If you have a good screen then great haha. However the best way to test is with full brightness and a completely black image. You should see a green tint along with the lines and blobs. If you have a white SGSII, you won't really be able to see them until the soft keys turn off.

have you tried cleaning your lenses?
or taken out the protective plastic that was there when new?

I cleaned the lens with a cloth but it's still showing that little blob inside of the picture.

Does the blob go away with flash, no flash?

Still in the picture with or without flash. Do you guys think they will exchange it?

If its a new phone they should because its a manufacturers defect. There should be no charges either for that.

hello, I dont know if anyone is experiencing the same problem as i do, but whenever i change the lockscreen wallpaper to something black or gray -- the left side of the screen gives out some specs of white. and its weird since its only shows in the lockscreen, the homescreen doesnt show any of the white specs. im worried. is this a bug?
Yes, that really happens if you enable the ripple effect. I'm not sure if there's a fix for that already though.

thank you for confirming :good:
even i am facing the same issue with my n7100. Should i wisit the service centre or is there a fix for it????
Every time I take a picture using the flash, the pictures have a come out dark and with a blue cast over the whole picture. I have checked the settings on the camera and even tried resetting everything back to defaults but nothing seems to help. I know I have used the flash before and didn't have this problem. Does anyone have a similar problem or a fix?
Do you have a case on with a large bezel around the camera.

No case on the camera. I am using the OEM battery door/flip cover though. Could that do it? I'll try taking it off and taking a picture.
