This is probably a long shot. - About xda-developers.com

I simply don't know where to put this so I'm posting it here.
I wanted to suggest that since i know we probably cant make a new section in the forum for each Nex-Tech Wireless phone (small Kansas carrier)
if we could just get one Nex-Tech general forum so people from the same carrier can all try and help each other out?
if im in the wrong section feel free to move me
Thanks,
Oman14

Bump!!
Would love to have a forum of some type for Nex-tech Wireless. If it makes any difference maybe a Subform of the Samsung Galaxy S 3 for the SCH-R530X (version used on a lot of smaller generic regional carriers) like the USCC s3 forum or even just a general "Other S3 models" would be nice!

Can we get a TELUS specific forum for T989 for us canadians?

Hi,
Love XDA, but can we get a specific forum for Telus T989 users? There are two versions of this phone out to the masses and it's getting confusing for roots, roms and other with only a T-Mobile forum.
If others agree, please voice your support for this idea.
Thanks,
Dennis

AllGamer has already stated beforehand that because the hardware is exactly the same, there is not much point in opening another forum for the Telus variant. Rooting is exactly the same, except for getting into Download Mode and ROMs work on both phones.
It's just as if you would make a separate forum for each Motorola Atrix or Galaxy Nexus.

Need for separate GSM/HSPA and CDMA/LTE subforums

As someone with a sprint galaxy nexus. it's hard to find clear topics on what's relevant to my device.
Perhaps we can separate General by CDMA/LTE and GSM/HSPA
or alternately since sprint and verizon have differences themselves.
Sprint Nexus, Verizon Nexus and GSM Nexus.
Hey buddy. We've been dealing with it just fine before the Sprint phone showed up. General and Q&A need to be kept together. The only need for separate forums is when it comes to Development (which they've added).
MOST topics pertain to everyone. And if theres a need for a specific thread, label it with [SPRINT], [VERIZON], or [GSM]. There's no need to spread out the usefulness of a general forum because you can't comprehend what's going on in an OP.

Served lol
- Google Galaxy Nexus
No need for over-organization. This is fine.
Been fine over at the nexus s forums for a while. A month after the spring phone has been out. It week seem less cluttered

If you can't differentiate between a GSM thread or a CDMA thread I don't think you need to be flashing your phone anyway. Plus most "general" issues are the same no matter the device.

(Request) forums for Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Korean Versions

Hello, I'm a developer in Korea. I'm new to XDA.
I'm writing this post because I found that the ROMs and Kernels for Korean Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, although they are incompatible with the global models, only are posted under the global models' forums due to the absence of separate forums.
Because I'm new to XDA, I still am not fully aware of the XDA culture: I'm not sure if XDA is careful about creating new forums especially if the new forum isn't provisioned to attract a whole lot of threads. However, U.S. variants all get separate forums, and I believe it would worth asking.
Thanks for reading :good:

POTATO!!!!
In this kind of situation, another forum won't generally be created unless there's a high demand for it. So a good place to start would be making a request in the thread that Prawesome linked to and get other users of the Korean variants to make requests there aswell.
Also, if you PM a mod of the S3 forum you could ask to make a thread where all things related to the Korean variant would go. It's not exactly what you're after but at least it's a start.
Thanks. I went to the thread and requested.

Sub forum listings and a opinion

Why is it that Q&A is listed first? Also how come it doesn't say "Discussion,Blank,Blank." instead of "Guides,News, oh and discussions! we can't forget discussions"
Browsing the Galaxy S7 forum it felt like the Q&A section is the new General discussions sub.
I feel like there should be a poll on this. Am i the only one who thinks so?
We changed these only recently. The forum owners made this decision in order to simplify things, as well as ensure the Q&A forum is listed first, as that's where most activity takes place.
A lot of thought went into it, and it won't be changed again soon I'm afraid. To be honest, we've never had any other complaint or issue with it.
Why did it feel like the Q&A forum is the new discussion forum? I'm curious why you say this.
