[Q] Fastboot freezes - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi people,
I have Samsung Google Nexus, rooted, on Paranoid Android 4.0 beta3, CWM 6.0.4.3.
The problem is when I rebooting my phone into Fastboot my volume and power keys do not respond at all, and I need to unplug my battery to reboot again...
Does anyone know something about this problem and can help?
Thanks

I'm sure that my volume buttons work fine, in CWM or PA Ui it works great.
I convinced that the problem is Fastboot itself

Just got a gnex

So I just got a nexus yesterday. Today I tried using the toolkit to unlock bootloader, root and write recovery.
So I did everything in the instructions and it worked....at first.
Now when I try and boot into recovery I get the fastboot android guy with a red triangle.
I also get a "fastboot read error".
Can anyone shed some light on this?

don't rely on toolkits
So just reflash a recovery.img and then flash this : http://db.tt/Ec8NOJLX
Fastboot flash recovery example.img
Once in recovery flash the zip and done.

Oh sorry. Was away and thought someone would have chimed in. You should be able to use any fast boot... I think. I just used the ones from the SDK.

afaik, fastboot is no longer available in android sdk (r13 was the last to have it).
also, i'm not sure htc uses the same fastboot binary.

etc/gps.config

What does everyone's etc/gps.config look like? Please copy and paste gps.config folder here. I might have screwed something up.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
do you want GPS.config from Jelly Bean 4.1.1 or from ICS 4.0 - 4.0.4?
Download the ROMs and check the gps.cofig file and if you screwed it up then you can replace it if your Nexus is rooted..

What ROM you are using? try to flash it again if it is custom ROM!
and if it is not helping then flash another ROM..
for me the GPS works fine on Jelly Bean 4.1.1 "takju", I'm using XXLF1 radio baseband, are you using custom kernel?
I think I fixed it. It locks on now after rebooting the phone. I'll delete this thread. Now I'm having issues with the booting lol. It takes like 2-3 minutes to move past the Google logo to the Nexus logo. Is that normal?

No it's not normal!
Google logo shows after 1-2 seconds when you boot it, then google logo shows something 2-3 seconds and then booting something 20-45 seconds usually.
Yeah I thought so. I don't know what to do about it.

sure! as long as you already have your bootloader unlocked and recovery flashed.
download the rom to your phone reboot to recovery and flash
I'm not entirely sure. Can you boot the phone? if so you could use an android terminal on your phone to push the whole system.
Something like
Code:
adb remount
adb push sdcard/blahblah/system/ /system
If it works let me know. why do you not have access to a computer?
Edit: His idea is better than mine. I keep the recovery stock until i use it and boot a TWRP recovery image. Good luck Brochacho!
This is impressive. Not even 2 weeks ago a thread was created about this very subject.

The browser doesn't. Works just fine here. Xda app probably has a "Open thread url" or "Copy thread url" button. No excuse, sorry.

Are you rooted or stock? If you're stock, I would root as and flash instead of waiting on Verizon. You might be waiting a while if you're waiting on them.

I'm stoke still. I want too root so I can run code name android ROM. I really like it. But my computers broke right now. So I guess I'll just have to wait then.

no need to root; push all needed files to phone, reboot bootloader, flash a custom recovery, wipe data/factory reset, flash a custom rom (gapps if stated on first post)
To my SD card or something?

Pink screen, freezes, reboots

Hi XDA!
First of all, sorry for my bad english!
Since yesterday I have a big problem with my Galaxy Nexus I9000 I9250 (GSM).
I did a dirty flash upgrade to the latest CM11 official nightly (CM updater), but since then my phone freezes randomly and my screen gets pink, then I cant use my phone and need to pull my battery. I didn't overclock my phone and used the CM11 stock kernel.
Today I'd restore my phone to the Google Stock Image (Android 4.3.3), didn't install any mods and I still got the same problem!
Is my phone bricked? Could you help me out?
Greetz,
TinyFeather
How did you restore to stock?

I'd use SkipSoft Unified Android Toolkit
Toolkits never work that well if you don't understand the underlying processes. I suggest you revert to stock via adb - that way, you know and understand what exactly you're doing to your phone.
There is a revert to stock guide here.
