Honestly, as an owner of the device after a few calls I can say, that the quality is a bit dissapointing. I mean, its not terrible, but I owned Xperia Neo V before (which at the time of release was around the same price as Xperia M is today) and I feel like the call quality was a bit better on that phone. So far I had no problems in understanding what the person I'm talking with is saying, but I haven't tried it in a really noisy environment. Don't get me wrong, I think M is an awesome device and a great value for the money, but personally, I wouldn't recommend it to someone that uses it mainly as a phone

Ok bro Thanks so much :good:

Sony Xperia S (General)

The Sony Xperia S is a fantastic phone with great features. It is a little old now but still it is really worth the price for all the features it provides.
The main features of the Xperia S are the 12 megapixel camera, 32gb of internal storage, a very high resolution of 342ppi pixel density on a 4.3 inch screen, 1080p video playback, and a battery of li-ion 1750.
This product has a beautiful design with the transparent strip which lights up as you turn the device on. The plastic that covers the body doesn't feel cheap in any, in fact it feels great and fits perfectly in your hand. A great feature that Sony put in this device is taking the picture while the phone is at sleep mode. You hold down the camera button and the phone quickly launches the 12 megapixel camera taking a beautiful picture in less than 2 seconds.
If someone is considering to buy a good smart with good features and a low price, then this is a great option because they have decreased the price by a lot.
You will without a doubt love the Sony Xperia S.

Good smarpthone
Yes, it is a really good smartphone! But now Sony is increasing prices of his smartphones... Look at the Xperia Z, beautiful, but not so cheap!

hello, I do not know! the subject was open so wrote the post above
To make some use of this thread, It is reported that we may see a Jelly Bean 4.1.2 release for the XPERIA LT26i at the end of March.
This is a bit sooner than the mooted week 17 (mid April) that was touted earlier.
I for one am quite excited to see what is included in this firmware release.
XPERIA Blog reports: Xperia S Jelly Bean rollout commencing in late March?
a noob question,
can I use chainfire 3d on our xperia s ics?
Reported, but still MODs are not closing this useless thread.

Xperia S key features and issues

hey guyz,
As i am going to buy this phone next week so i am having some questions running around my head
like what are the key features and problems/issues of this phone?
I have seen some pretty good reviews of this phone on google and youtube but still wanted myself to be sure about this phone
1)is the yellow screen problem present in all xperia s?
2)what is the video playback support of this phone? (720 or 1080)
3)is there any force close or camera not responding problem with this phone?
4)i have seen many xperia phones with warm glow problem in portraits with camera.any chance of this happening in xperia s?
5)wifi or network signal drop issue?
any help will be appreciated
or any other phone that you can suggest
thanks guyz
1) i dont think so, i havent had any Problems regarding yellow tint
2) wow i dont really Know.. The screen is Not 1080 p as it doesnt have 1900x1200 (or 1080 i dunno) like the z
3) the camera is actually pretty quick and stable, but it will be even faster in JB Update. In the dark the camera is Not that good but flashing a cybershot mod or the Xperia v camera will almost fox this issue..
4) havent had that Problem
5) nope none at All. WiFi is a Bit worse than on my old iPhone 4(im ashamed) but still good
Hope i could help you But if i may ask, why buy an XS? Just take a Bit more money And buy a t or something

1) No yellow tints since Week 16 (that means since May 2011)
2) Supports 1080p with most codecs with full speed, maybe a bit of lag with some.
3) I don't have any
4) Warm Glow Camera?
5) My networks drops a bit too much, but it must be my carrier. it sucks.

Not aware of that. My images look good. no tint issues.
Which Samsung phone i would suggest? hm Thats easy: none.
Why buy a samsung phone? The Tablet might be pretty good but the phones are really ugly, made of cheap plastic and overpriced. If you dont want to spend a lot of money go for T or S. If you have a bit more to spare why not the Z or SP?

A few things you should be aware of:
The battery is NOT exchangeable,
There is NO µSD-Slot, so you only have the internal 32GB (ca. 28GB usable).
I own this phone now for 2 months, and i'm absolutely satisfied.
Actually there is no better phone available for the price of about 300,- € (about 350 - 400 $)
The Screen is very bright and crystal clear, like it.
Never had the illumination switched on, because then the display is so bright, worried of becoming blind
One last thing on playing videos:
Depending on the videoplayer (i use vlc) the phone CAN play 1080p videos (downsampled of course), because
the display is (only) HDready: 1.280x720p,
which is imho far enough for a handy display atm.
Compared the Screen with Sa****g S4 in the last days, using a hi-res photo ([email protected]), and saw no really big difference.

i know the screens of xperia t and s are same both 720p but dont know why when i saw the xperia t the only thing that disappointed me was its screen it was not good at all even worse than my previous phone (xperia sola)
yeah my fiance recently got a TL...not sure if that has the same LCD as the T, but its a pretty noticeable difference over my Ion (which i think is similar to the S, but that is an xperia i've never seen in person). I was surprised that its so different, especially for video playback. I'm not saying it is terrible, but no matter the brightness setting, the contrast levels are completely different.
I know i've read that the Ion has one of the better screens...just didn't really notice how good it was until i compared it to an 'updated' version. kind of defeats the purpose imo...

i think thats the reson.(all the phones have 720p display)

Sony Xperia M C1905- bad call quality

Hello!
For over a month I am a user of the Sony Xperia M. Unfortunately but I'm very worried about call quality (there is noise, no clear voice). Compared to my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy Mini 2) is much worse. I thought that the latest firmware update something to help, but it did not happen.
On one forum for Xperia M I read that most users Xperia M complains about the quality of conversations. So the problem applies to all units or possibly a series production.
A few people send your phones to service, exchanged: the speakers, antennas, etc. but on the call quality is still poor. So I suspect that may be the fault of the firmware. What should I do: make reclamation or wait for next upade ???
Nobody has problems with call quality? In My Xperia during a call- I have noise and the voice is not clarity. Better Call quality is on my Galaxy Gio.

There is no problem in call quality in my xperia M. Its good everything is ok and speaker is kinda better than other devices as well.
The only disappointment is camera at low light and nights!!
Other Xperia M's users also have got good call quality? The call quality is so good like in Smasung Galaxy Family(Galaxy Ace 3, S3, S4 etc.)?
I am having the same problem. After i flashed the latest firmware, the quality of call got really bad. During call, the incoming voice is really bad and sounds really messed up. What should i do?
Bad speaker quality on Xperia M
I have the same problem.
Should I reset the phone. It is a pain in the neck, so I am looking for another option!
I too dont have any problem...

[Q] Going for T2 Ultra from ZL?

Hi,
I am currently on Xperia ZL about past 11 months now, the phone pretty much rocked everything , but recently while trying to clean my phone's mic whole I scratched a bit and later on after a weak or so, the screen started to crack..its nothing serious till now as its sticking fine , but If i want to buy a new display it is about a 100 usd here in Bangladesh.
So I was taking a look to the larger phones, Something from the phablets like the T2, The phone looked quit nice at the store, affordable for me, but I found quit some confusing reviews about the Ram and the sound quality . I am a musician by pro, least the headphones should work as good as the z or zl.
Also there are the Ram issues.
What do you say guys should I go for it? or you have some more suggestions?
Waiting for the t2 community :good:

Overall love

Yes, yes, it's possible to love a phone. Heck, you sleep next to it, don't you? Rate this thread to indicate your love for the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, all things considered. A higher rating indicates that the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra is an incredible phone that you enjoy tremendously. You love it.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Hii to all new xpera xa1 ultra owners and Hii to all of you reading this and want to buy the phone
Well, I give to it a 5 star
Why?
I have had a lot of phones, this one gives me when I hold it the WoW effect..
Yes it looks good, it feels premium and it is good.
But, you will get a very, very good phone all over all..
BUT, there is a overall bad thing..
Just google or even search on xda..the hole xperia X series has NOT or POOR custom rom support
That means..overall love its ok and very good phone but if you like to flash roms.. don't buy it..
The only xperia from the X series wich got sort of rom support is the Xperia X performace one..
That means....if you want even any sony phone
Look first and I mean FIRST on the official sony bootloader unlock page..
If that model is unlockable..
If not..dont evan go for that too...
It must be able from sony to get bootloader unlocked...
After that google and search on XDA for your phone..not only for xperia..
If it has good roms..
IF not..buy LG, Buy Pixel.. or what ever has support on xda..
I got this phone but I did not do this research..
Now I am stuck and can not even have root..
My bootloader is locked..
That means I am stuck with all stock not to flash anything..
Even no ROOT..
I like to flash..so this makes me dissapointed a bit..
The only workarround is to change allways to different launchers if you like to change
the looks..but if something to tweak..or need root access you will not have it..
But that still does not change my feelings to give this phone 5 star..
Thanks for reading
Hope it helped someone
Sony should done proper QA on the Canadian version of this phone. It is plague with tons of bugs which rander the phone usless.
Great at first , problems now.
I purchased my US version Xperia XA1 about 5 months ago , new from Best Buy. There are several reasons to like the Xperia. 1. Large bright sharp screen , 2. Good speed, 3. Plenty of storage , 4. Good battery life. I really liked this phone before the recent (3) Sony updates. Now my touch screen stops working from time to time, a quick screen off and on works to solve the problem. The worst is now when I take a call and hold the phone to my ear the screen does not go off. So my ear touching the screen launches system setting and apps. CRAZY when you finish the call you have to close everything. Another gripe is that the updates are not past Android 7.0, one would think that on such a new phone that the past three updates would be at least 7.1. Other minor issues are surprisingly the camera quality. It is very hit and miss depending on the light and if you use advance settings. For quick shots the photos are just okay to just plain bad. The video recording is not bad but the audio levels in the recording are low. The prices have dropped quite a lot since I purchased my Sony but I would not buy it again if I had a do-over.
