i would jump if the clear wasn't frosted. i just picked up the glossy white evo, and would like to keep the glossy appearance. good prices though!
edit: retraction! the frost is fricking awesome! just got it today and its bad ass on the white evo!

I just ordered one. I'm going to try out the clear frost case. I was a little on the fence about it, but for $5, its worth checking out. Ill update as soon I get it.

It does take effort to activate the power button. This has been my experience with other TPU cases as well until the case is "broken in", not that TPU is similar to leather, but leather also requires some "breaking in" to achieve full performance.

I'm unfamiliar with these TPU cases. Are these just applied to the back and the whold front screen surface is basically still unobstructed? Can't quite tell from the pic. If so, I think that's what I've been looking for.
Also, does anybody know if it will fit over a full body Zagg?
Easy to remove? Want to use one for a disc-type car mount too maybe.

I just got my black TPU case....it fits SNUG around the phone and has a nice overall feel in the hands. Also slips in and out of the pocket with little resistance. The camera is well protected for such a slim case build.
The power button is a bit tough to push as are the volume up and down buttons but I will give them some time to "break" in.
I would definitely recommend checking this case out for the $6 dollars paid.

you just cant beat that price... You should get these posted on ebay and amazon. With that price and us seller theirs no doubt it will be a hit.

Some questions about the official book cover case.

So I recently bought the official book cover case from Amazon (it was listed as new). I feel a little underwhelmed by the case after getting it in the mail. Its a nice looking case but the build quality doesn't seem up to par. I'm afraid I might have been sold a counterfeit. The front piece is a soft rubber/plastic cover with the magnetic flap and seems to be easily scratched as it already has some scuffs on it straight out of the box. The corner parts on the front cover are slightly deformed. The front and back pieces seem to be sloppily glued together. I think mine is also missing the rubber feet behind the magnetic flap because it has a hard time standing up as an easel. I was wondering if anyone else that has this case could tell me how your case is. Mine did come in the official Samsung packaging but I'm not sure if it's 100% legit. The model number on the box shows EF-C980NBECSTD.

Sort of looks fake to me. My book cover doesn't have any of the flaws your pictures seem to highlight. Especially the crooked Samsung logo on the flap. Samsungs build quality could've gone down I suppose, tho it does look odd.

where is the hole for the powerbutton? Also the spot where theheadphones plug in is different from mine. Just checked my model number and it is EFC-1B1NBECCAN. Also my packaging has a holographic sticker that says samsung original. Then again this could be because its sold in canada.

Agree, this one is totally fake from china. Now im using it as well with white black color with 18$ price. Quality is not so good.

My package also had a Samsung hologram sticker.
I have a general recommendation for buying from Amazon, especially with electronics and accssories, which is to buy from Amazon (or fulfilled by Amazon) only. You are unlikely to get counterfeit product that way and also have a much easier time sending it back if you do.

Yeah Bro that's a counterfit galaxy tab case.
The cut out where the headphone port is, has this inch long to two inches long slit. That has to pieces of rubber touching each other to act as a little headphone cord holder mechanism. Also the Galaxy tab branding on the bottom corner doesn't look like it's the same font size or font as mine. That sucks bro I'd report the person or company you got it from, if you were to look at a real case side by side with yours you can see the difference.

I compared your photos with my case... Certainly this is a fake. I'm sorry.

I just bought one of these for $42 from an amazon vendor and it was "fulfilled by amazon". Not only was mine a fake, but I also got one that someone else had returned. The package was all scuffed up and the cellophane wrapping was half ripped off. The camera cut out was not properly aligned (there was plastic covering part of the hole) and the rubber feet were falling off.
I did not know about these phoney rip-off cases before I read this thread. But I called amazon and complained, and to their credit they refunded my money. So since it was essentially free, I got out my Drumel and fixed the camera opening, re-glued the feet, cleaned it up a bit, and made it usable. At least it does seem to fit okay, and while it's not as great as having the "real thing", now that I've doctored it, it'll do.
Be careful when buying from unknown venders, even when the order is fulfilled by amazon. This vender was "Go Shuki" of "Shuki International". Surprisingly, they have a 4.4 star rating out of 5, but they only have 283 total ratings. Still, no way to tell they were going to try to rip me off. (Well, maybe if I had looked at their store front, I might have noticed that what this company specializes in is selling fake perfume. That may have been a tip-off. ) I wonder how many others who trust Amazon.com have been victomized by these shady venders.
But Amazon treated me right, so I'm still a fan of theirs.

That's a shame, but it does look fake. I bought mine believe it or not at a local Toys 'R' Us today. I must admit the quality is amazing and I'm loving it. I bought it on sale for $49.99. I was going to buy one online but I'm glad I waited and didn't have to wait on shipping.

Same here man i recieved the same fake case i already contacted the seller on amazonbut the pics that he had where of the right case not this fake one i better get a reply or at least get the right case shipped if not in going to leave a bad feedback so all the other people that read them will know.

I have the mfit leather case without the cover. Just received it two Weeks ago. It looks nice as it is, but the seller is a ****ing retarded one. i ordered the one with cover, but he sent me the one without the cover. And he refused to refund or exchange since it cost too much for him for international shipping..... Wtf?
So i only tried it once, and it is only sitting in my drawer since i already have the carbon fiber skin on my note. No reason to put the case without the cover on the skin... Sigh... I have paid over sixty five fit the item plus shipping from south Korea.
If you are going to order one from south Korea like i did, i strongly suggest not to do so since The seller is a **** head.(the mfit main distributor)
I'm not saying the product is bad at all, but the seller might send you the wrong item and will refuse to take any action fir that just like he did to me...

I have one of this. The case is kind of loose to fit the phone. My galaxy note slipped out of the case onetime when walked in my house. I am lucky that my house has carpet covered...

elago g5 case - bad experience

At friday I recieved a elagio G5 case ordered from ebay for $19.90 USD with additional $5 shipping - check this item

The item was shipped fast, and when I opened the luxury box I saw my new indigo case , a microfiber for cleaning the phone and a useless screenprotector which covers only the screen but not it's bezel. When I take a second look I saw that the case has some bad finish, worse that $3 USD TPU case. And while the images in the e-bay listing are photoshoped, the most worse part is that when I hold the phone the case press the volume or power button , and my phone goes muted or incidently turned off
BTW. the seller is corect, and responded immediately. He said that he can't sent a new one to me because he can't verify that the new one wil be of better quality. Also he offered me a refund if I destroy the item.
Unfortunatelly at the moment I can't fing another indigo soft case, so I thick I can modify this one and keep it, but trust me I doesn't worth it's price.

I am not familiar with the brand... but is that just a fake?
It seems all the brands have lines on them now. My old Otter boxes never did and now all do... but that crap on the side is just un called for.

Yes I know, the quality of all products is going bad, but the problem with the buttons is very annoying... I cutted the buttons back a little and now is OK. The problem is that no matter you pay 5 or 20 USD you get the same crap.

i have the blue case with the brushed metal back. i can tell you, with the case on, it lowers the signal strength for cell and wifi. plus i think it shields the nfc strength as well. quality wise, it's great...

I just received my black and grey one and completely echo your review.
Love the bumper, just as good as their nexus 4 one.
One thing I have done to loosen the buttons is just take the phone out of the case, and squish the buttons repeatedly to soften them up a bit.

First off. Didn't know OP was on XDA. Been subscribed haha. Also, here is a little review on my side. I ordered this case the 8th of November and was told it got lost and got a full refund. Worst thing was I got the phone that day and Ended up going to a T-Mobile and buying a generic plastic case. Nothing special. Literally just a flimsy plastic shell. It put me $15 more than my poetic and I was upset but I needed a case ASAP. I cracked my galaxy nexus. And took care of my nexus 4 as if it was my baby's baby. A week later. This case arrived. Ended up getting it for free. Put it on and was disappointed. The pros were that it's stylish (mine is red with the white nexus 5. It looks like pokeball), it feels good, and it's light. The cons are the raised from and back edges. The lip on this case is almost to nothing. Literally maybe half a centimeter on the front and on the back. Luckily I have the lens protector skin from dBrand so it's not that big of a deal. If poetic were to revise this case as they usually do with their other cases and fixes all the hiccups they made. I would definitely buy again or ask for exchange.

It seems its common to get free cases on amazon, I got two free spigen slim armors, they arrived after I cancelled my order and got my money back. And downtown your signature is huge, every thread I look at you post in and it takes up a lot of space on my screen. Forum rules are to keep your signature at a reasonable size, which I feel yours is not.

Camera protruding beyond the back is a huge flaw. What good is your notification light if you're forced to lay your phone face down? Amazon reviews reflect this.
