[Q] UVUEMJC Tether Hack - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hello, I have a T-Mobile GS3 with the official OTA 4.3. I'm rooted and Knox is removed. I was wondering can I flash the UVUEMJC tether hack with out flashing a different ROM? Also I hope this is posted in the right place.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I believe so.

Thanks, I will give it a shot. Just to reiterate I have no custom ROM on my phone.

You may need to Root though.

I am rooted I just didn't flash any ROM. Did it for the tether and to get rid of bloat.

I would like to know how to do this as well. Which UVUEMJC tether hack are you planning to flash? I am on 4.3 OTA and is rooted.
Thanks!!!

[Q]Got OTA and I'm rooted?

How can I be getting the update. If. I'm on juggernaut? Is this possible? It would probably brick my phone?

I got the same msg. I'm on beast mod. I was getting it through device management so I used TB to uninstall it as I'm thinking it's going to break my root....

Is this your after update? You still have the old baseband Joser.

I'm assuming this is the update for 2.3.6 and wifi calling?
I got the same OTA notification, running Juggernaut 3.7
Did you guys install the update? Or just get a notification?

I don't mind updating via OTA (I'm on BeastMod now), but what I don't want to do its lose root and have to restore all the data manually.

It was a notification for the update with an option to install or postpone; I'm going to postpone mine as long as I can....not sure what that update will do being that I'm rooted and on Juggernaut.
I'm sure one of the dev teams will take the OTA and roll it into a ROM so we can get the update and keep everything that we're used to.
I'm still on stock and yet to get update. sucks!

I got the update notification too and I'm also running Juggernaut 3.7.
I'm using the EagleBlood ROM and I received the update notification today. I'm postponing it as long as I can, but is there a way to just reject the update? It's annoying seeing the icon in my notification bar.
Can any of you just pull the link please? It would be a great help to many people. Everyone keeps posting about it and that is not helping anyone.

The update is already rooted and posted. Along with the new basebands.

Yes but not all of us want to use Odin. I am very much aware of its presence in the development section. However, i can assure you that i am not alone in wanting the link/zip.

Link for what? I'm not following you. Are you wanting the actual ota zip? If so, someone who has been notified of the update can use root explorer and go to /data/cache and grab the zip.

I guess someone else tried running this update and it just took them to CMW and didn't give them the update. I just froze "device manager" from TB so i don't have those annoying update arrows. I will wait for the new juggernaut when they update it. I'm in no rush

Can anyone confirm root after t-mobile update??

Hesitant to flash back to stock to update, anyone know if they can use that galaxy s3 root toolkit after the new update
Just flash the already rooted rom. Just did a few phones with no problem.

It's safe to flash and root like normal. I just received my phone and it had a sticker on it that said updated. I didn't incur any problems.

Do you mean the Wildchlid version, or a different one?

Rooted sprint stock JB rom

Does anyone know if there is one yet?
Second this.

Its odd that there isn't one yet.
I just pushed my own update using the ones posted in the update thread. Stock and rooted.
The problem is staring with a custom ROM wanting stock jb.

My suggestion would be Odin FG01 and then use FG01 to FG05.

4.2.1 update

Are you rooted or stock? If you're stock, I would root as and flash instead of waiting on Verizon. You might be waiting a while if you're waiting on them.

I'm stoke still. I want too root so I can run code name android ROM. I really like it. But my computers broke right now. So I guess I'll just have to wait then.

no need to root; push all needed files to phone, reboot bootloader, flash a custom recovery, wipe data/factory reset, flash a custom rom (gapps if stated on first post)
To my SD card or something?

Root and tether

I picked up another s3 after not having one for a bit. Last I read, we couldn't root with the 4.3 software without possibly messing up the phone.
What I'm looking for is if there is a new method to root, but mostly, how can I hide my hotspot usage so that I can tether my Xbox?

Flash 4.3 root66 for t999l if all you want is root.. The only way you can mess things up is if you try to downgrade firmware

How can I use a hacked tether thing?
Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
I don't know.. I don't use tether
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
That's the most important thing I need. On my note 2 the Rom came with a tether hack so that T-Mobile couldn't see how much data I was using
Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
So I'm rooted now, have twrp installed. Now how can I block my T-Mobile hotspot to get free tethering?
Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
I'm trying the free tether unlocker app, but does it really work? Just by using the built in app?

I saw a flashable tether hack for 4.3... I'll find it and edit with the link for you

^ This is a new thread on how to make it work, and it includes the mod, but the original mod was in a modified TW 4.3 Rom (if I find that I'll re-post, but I think this will help you and/or answer any questions you may have

That's what it was designed for. I updated the post with the original link. It's for a stock rooted roms and also works on those stock 4.3 leaks by @DocHoliday77. Works on all stock rooted roms- but due diligence, you should read through the threads first to make sure any questions you may have are answered before flashing.
It looks like the most up to date one may not actually be working.
