[REQ] Stock e980 apps port to kitkat or deodexed apk - LG Optimus G Pro

Hi I have searched for a while now, and i know the phone is still pretty new, but is there any way anyone could port over the stock apps to be able to use them on kitkat 4.4.2? Or if anyone has found this a link would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much in advance, i'm sure there are others that would greatly appreciate this.
Apps looking to be ported:
QRemote - (lockscreen widget would be awesome) either e980 or lg g2 wouldn't matter
*as i understand it there is something you need to workout with hardware to get the qremote to work with another rom
Lockscreen/Lockscreen settings - again e980 or g2
Smartshare
Camera!!!-live effects, would be the main reason here.
*I have found a solution for the quick button on the side, it is just the search button, if you find an app to change the behavior, that is all you need.
AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ANYONE WITH ANY INFO!!!!!!:good::good::good: :highfive:

Found qremote for anyone that is also looking! Thought it didn't work first time I flashed, but I just forgot to wipe dalvik >.<

[Q] SGS2 Messaging app with themes?

Hello,
I just updated my SGS2 to 2.3.4 today and unfortunately, I seem to have lost the part that I liked the most about the messaging app: the ability to change themes. I really hate the way it looks now and would really like the plain look of one of the themes back.
Is it possible to push the older themable messaging app. to this new firmware and get the theme functionality back?
If anyone has the messaging app that supports themes, could you please pull it and attach it here so I can give it a try?
Many thanks.
+1 I miss the black theme as it goes sooo much better with my current rom. I'd be interested to know if this can be done
True. Let's see if someone can help with this
I use GoSmsPro and it has a few themes
I understand that there are alternatives available but I wish to have the stock messaging app back which supports themes I would really appreciate it if someone could pull it from their phone.
I'd like to have the stock messaging app with themes too (I wa addicted to the "funny" style..., I'm a dumbass I know...)
There should be SOMEONE with the older app
Here's what I tried:
I tried downloading an older KE7 firmware from 18th May and extracted the Mms.apk/odex and MmsProvisioning.apk/odex files and pushed them to /system/app and tried rebooting but that didn't change anything
If I try INSTALLING the new Mms.apk file it says Application not installed even if I try remounting the system as rw
Discussed before in this thread, no joy so far:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1177494
In that thread, this guy said he had a solution, but never posted the .apk:

@Cygnuss - you've posted about GoSMSPro in both threads. You're missing the point - as dexter said last time:

Does that bring back the themes in Samsungs SMS/MMS-app? I think not...

There HAS to be a solution
Yes theres a solution, after every new rom install i flash with cwm this mms fix and it restores the message themes.

Thank you so much! You're the man!
For those of you who had trouble with odexed/deodexed, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1159920
And get Darky's odex->deodexed converter and install that first using DarkyRom2 Tool (available free on market)
so annoying. i want my old themes back (especially the black one). i'm guessing the app got updated, so i'd be keen to just get the them part back in...
any solution to this?
i want it tooo!!!
there's nothing like this!!
I tried the solution posted above but once you go depdexed you lose hardware acceleration in the browser and it gets laggy as hell. I guess I'm gonna have to keep on hoping for an odex solution
You could go back to 2.3.3 , really what will you be missing out?

Missing Features in Cyanogen/CM Based Roms? Please Help!

Hey there xda!
I'm on the latest version of Carbon and I must say I think its the best rom that I've tried so far..
However there are two small things that concern me about it!
I can't find a way to delete any homescreens? It comes with 5. I've checked everywhere that Its been on other roms I've used.
Second, I really want all my camera pictures to go straight to the SD card, and there seems to be no option for a thing like that..
Anybody know any solutions to either of these? I Think they might have been left out by accident...
Anyways thanks in advance for any help, its always appreciated!
Thanks

Unfortunately not all ROMs are created equal. The hone screen issue if isn't in the settings I can suggest something like Nova or Apex launcher and you can set your home screen amount to whatever you want.
Not all the ROMs have sdcard save options, there is a aosp camera nod you can install that has that feature. A simple search will point you in the right direction.

you can't port it because it needs touchwiz framework and won't work without it, sorry I hate to be the bad guy but porting this to lg phones will take alot of hours and you will probably end up with limited functionality
Thanks for ur atintion and reply and I thought as u said that need a lot of time and works and good to know about that points brother.

Adding Dual Window Apps without ROOT

Hello G3 users,
I am trying to figure out a way to add Dual Window or Multiwindow apps without root. It is possible on Samsung multiwindow so I got curious to know if it was also possible on LG G3 as well. So I decompiled a few stock LG apps and I discovered some metadata for multiwindow so I figured I make a test app with those metadata and test if it would work - that is if it would add itself to the dual window list on unrooted G3. I don't have a G3 and I would glad to make a guide on how to do it if the test app works. Below is a test app with the multiwindow metadata. I appreciate any feedback. THANKS.

anybody tried this with a verizon version of the lg g3?
if so how do we get to move the apps you wanna use
Anyone have any test results on this? I am curious if this is possible because I had a fantastic rooted/tweaked S3 and switched to a LG G3. I miss being able to add ANY app to multi-window!!!
---------- Post added at 08:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:53 AM ----------
I would love this for the T-Mobile LG G3. I would be willing to test your next build. I will most likely be rooted before the end of today.
Anyone still working on this?
Not that keen on rooting my phone just yet, but would love to expand the multi window support...
So how do you use the app? What happenes after you click hello world? Also is this process reversible if for some reason I need to uninstall it?
I can confirm this works on my unrooted T-Mobile LG G3. It would be nice to add this feature for the unrooted users
Anyone working on this?
Btw there was a similar solution for samsung multi windows ( i.e expanding MW support , w/o root)
Just figured I'd mention it
launching apps
Hi! Thank you for the test app.
Maybe a way to continue this bypass is: instead of display a "Hello world" message, to launch desired app using URL schemes. Anybody knows how to modify the test app to do this? I think this could be the answer we are looking for!
Works for me!

[Q] Is there a way to use the LG g3 volume buttons to zoom camera?

Hello. Sorry if this is a noob question.. I'm new to xda, love reading and learning from people much smarter than myself, and thank you in advance for any assistance from you guys and gals. Anyways, I have a T-Mobile LG g3, rooted, Stock rom with xposed. I came from a Nexus 4 and loved to tweak it. I absolutely love my g3, and have never had an issue with setting up the phone to my liking. But I can't seem to find any info on how to use the volume buttons to zoom the stock camera. Maybe it can't be done (yet), but I also may be missing something. Any advice? Thanks again, and to all the devs out there that make tweaking a phone easy for a noob like me, keep up the good work!
