Hi all
we are trying to switch our work computers over to tablets to increase efficiency.
our techs need to fill up their service ticket that are currently in PDF form. we made fill-able pdf forms using adobe pro and they fill it up on their PC
the problem is that if you open the same file on tab 3, it doesn't see it as a fillable pdf. it just sees it as a normal pdf and the only way to type info in it, is by opening a type box.
so this is my question for you, is there an app that will let us fill up pdf forms just like how you can do it on a computer?
any tweaks we can do?
i am testing on a tab 3 10.1 16gig wifi model.
all (useful feedback ) are appreciated with Thanks!
bump. anyone?
Which app are you using? I thought the Adobe app did it.
Edit:
Adobe app does indeed do this on my Tab 3 8.0

No, I didn't have one so I downloaded something from the court website because I knew it would be fillable.
anyone else?
I was curious, so I created a simple fill -able form using Acrobat Pro 10.1.9 . I opened it on my Tab 3 8.0 using the Acrobat App and sure enough I was able to fill in the form without any problem.

Then its either a problem with your form, or there's a different version of Adobe Reader for your tab as opposed to the 8.0.
Have you tried other forms?

but if doesn't if it's though chrome ( built in pdf viewer in chrome ).

Chrome on PC is fillable for me. Chrome on Tab just asks to download.
I believe this is the first year that this form was fill-able. Maybe the city is using a new version of software for authoring.

On Ubuntu I used it's multiple screen function. You can scroll with ATL+CTRL+arrows. So I opened explorer in one screen to see content of my phone and on the other screen opened folder I want to copy. Fast and easy.

It worked for me using Windows XP.
The first time it did not work for me and I looked around and found some people thought their stock cable was the problem. I thought I'd have to go buy a new one, no biggie.
Today I opted to charge my phone while working and lo and behold I had success! I copied files back and forth, no problem. Same cable, same computer.
Try again?
There was no real difference between the two attempts. The first time I opened up 'Internal Storage' it was blank, any drag and drop was met with the invalid cursor. I refreshed, nothing. The next day, after the laptop was asleep, no problems.
There's an old app called XNJB for Mac OS X
I found an app today via Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Transfer_Protocol
Its called XNJB - it's amazing that it actually works (kind of), considering it was made for MP3 players years ago...
I'm going to keep looking at it- but already it has more (native) flexibility than that of Android File Transfer - keep in mind that that flexibility doesn't actually work (yet).
I can't believe that Android File Transfer is all they gave to Mac Users OTB - it's such crap, reminds me of the various Blackberry tools back in 2004.
What about FTP?
If you have Wi-Fi at home you can use the free, open source app File Expert.
It's a really great file explorer for android and has an option to turn your phone into an ftp server. If you're on Linux you can use filezilla or whatever to log into your phone and transfer files. I'm on windows and find the wireless transfer to be much more convenient than using a cable. Transfer speeds are great too.
Google Music is onlyavailable in the USA. Is there a similar service in Canada?
Thanks
Once you have created an account (do it on your computer thru a proxy), you will be able to use Google Music in Canada. You can't buy music but you can still stream/download for offline use.
There is a guide how to use Google music outside of US here in xda. I followed that guide and using Google music in Korea.

I was able to use proxy very easily. Using Firefox browser, a plugin called "stealthy" is used, and is visible, once installed in the top right corner of your screen. When you want the proxy turned on, click the stealth bomber and it turns green. Want it off? Click it again and it turns red!
I am able to go to google music anytime using this method, and works flawlessly!

Or basically anywhere you would normally get music before Google Music popped onto the scene only a few short months ago. Odd question.
I use Microsoft Zune. Music is generally cheaper than other places and the UI is great. My sister and I buy a Zune pass together. The music is DRM protected, but there are ways around that...

Mainly iTunes but that's due to a lack of options. I always check hmvdigital.ca first though and if it's the same price there, I'll get it from there instead of iTunes. hmvdigital songs are for the most part 320kpbs and are DRM free and you can download them again and again as many times as you want.

Is this still working for you? I have been using the services in Canada without issue until today, now the Music Manager won't upload additional songs. Methinks Google may have caught on.
I use 7digital. They have a Canadian store and an Android app so you can buy right to the phone if you like. The stuff I've purchased has been 320kbps DRM-free. Easy as pie.
I've been using Google music in Canada since it launched with absolutely no issues. I used a program to fake my IP for the invite, as far as I know you no longer need an invite now. Music manager works flawlessly as well, overall the whole setup is beautiful and I love it.

I am looking for a app that can do a few things. I want to make a to-do list, and / or a grocery list. It needs to be able to install and sync between more than one android and a pc.
I want to be able to goto the grocery with my lady and both have the app open. When we find a item either of us checks it off, it syncs with the app on the other phone and is marked completed. Also I want to be able to make the list from my pc at home. Basically ourgroceries does all this except for the home pc part.
Anyone know a app that will fit the bill?

Hey no problem, it took me forever to figure out why the mobile app couldn't do the boxes but the pc could. One part evernote fails horribly is creating sub-bullets/indents on the mobile app. Drives me insane.

I use OurGroceries via the web and sync it to two Android phones. You create an account on the website. Then on the phone in the settings you send a request to the email address to the address attached to the web account.
I've been using honeydew since my blackberry days. Very simple interface, sync works fine between 2 phones. Not sure if it has a pc option
I use our groceries from the pc and the phone. they have a website at ourgroceries.com where you can log in with the same credentials as you did on the phone and it's flawless. It can be edited and sync in real time.

If I use stock 4.1.1 and stock 4.1.2, I can see and install Photoshop Touch.
Anything other than stock, including using CM10 or AOKP roms, then I can see but cannot install Photoshop Touch with a message saying it is incompatible with my rom.
My solution was to install an old apk of the software (found on the web, any will do). Then, since I actually bought the app, it simply proposed me to update through the Store.

I must be doing something wrong. Attempted the same thing, I'm not rooted nor do I currently wish to be (long story there, I'll leave my Xoom to be the rooted one for now) but as it stands, this did not work for me.
Upon installation on 4.1.2, the market recognized Adobe Proto and Adobe Ideas were installed. I cannot get these to update via the store since they are still seen as incompatible with my Nexus 7. Great...
And I paid for those two.
[edit]
Just had an email response from Google Play regarding the purchase of the app and subsequently being unable to reinstall after a factory reset.
Here is what they wrote:
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for writing back. I do see that you've done a factory data reset. I'm sorry to hear you're still experiencing this issue. Apparently you were able to download the app before but it is correct that the app isn't actually compatible with the Nexus 7.
If you're still not able to find a certain app, please keep in mind apps that aren’t compatible with your device are hidden when you search for them on Google Play. Developers of Android apps can choose to filter devices based on a variety of criteria, including Android OS version, carrier, location, or even screen size. According to our records, Adobe Photoshop Touch is incompatible with your device because it doesn't match the developer's specifications on for the device's screen density.
Because you were able to purchase this app and are now unable to use it, I've gone ahead and filed this refund request on your behalf - you'll receive another email within 14 business days confirming that the request has been processed.
Thanks in advance for your patience, and if you have additional questions or if you don't receive a second email with this confirmation, please let me know.
Regards,
Eddie

I spent two+ hours last night trying to spoof my N7 as various compatible tablets so I could download it, and succeeded only in soft-bricking (fixed by reflashing OTA).
It looks like Google has closed some/all of the loopholes that used to allow you to fool the store. Nothing I tried worked.
with my current rom i am able to buy the app on the store. my rom is aosp based. no tweeks to the market that i know of. no build prompt changes. no idea what im doing right but it is not hidden or unavailable in any way for me

You can try my edited Dolphin Browser apk. I have used flash on 4.2.2 before with no issues or crashes. Strange why its crashing.

Alright, so I took a few minutes to test these and other browsers, here's what I found:
1. YouTube and many other video sites support HTML5 on mobile devices. This is why you are able to view them.
Flash is NOT supported on stock or chrome browser.
2. Photon Flash Player & Browser (Google Play App Link) has the best flash plugin support that I've seen for in any browser.
- I was actually able to play flash games and the option to switch between touch control and "mouse" control makes games that do not require directional pads playable.
3. Every other browser in the list that I tried testing flash games with crashed shortly after entering the game.
I can't confirm the compatibility with flash-only video sites at the moment but I'll update this when I don't have pending homework.
Still can't get it to work for Facebook apps. Just keep getting the page that says "you need flash....."

screen goes black in full screen mode
Is anybody able to watch a flash video in full screen mode?
Tried various browsers but none seem to work. The video works when viewing in normal mode, but once i switch it to full screen it goes black.
I'm trying to watch live streaming video on ilemi if that helps.
Tried most of the browsers and i liked firefox the best other then the black screen (which happens on all) it had the advantage of the adblocker really does make a difference.
Download puffin brower it has flash built in and works very well

I use and love xScope. It's been my preferred browser for years now.
