[Q] Severe Battery issue with galaxy SIII. - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I am facing a severe issue with the battery of my samsung galaxy SIII which i have purchased in june-12.
Sometime battery of my phone is charged very quickly( max 1 hour) & then it will discharge very quickly(max 2 hours) too. Battery will completely discharge from 100% to 0%(in 2-3 hours).
This problem occurs once in 10 time.
I have observed, When my phone battery start charging very fast, from 10% to 85% in just 20-30 minutes.
i disconnect the charger, Restart the phone & it is showing only 12% battery remaining.
It means phone was not charging just the battery percentage is going up.
this problem comes to me at least once in week. and i have to charge my phone 4 times a day.
Normally, I can use my phone battery for full day once fully charged.
So, it doesn't seems to be a battery issue.
Please have a look in the issue & guide me how to proceed.

Fully charged battery drops 10% charge for unknown reason

Hey people,
I've noticed this strange effect (which I notice using the Battery Graph app to observe how my usage drains the battery). When charging the phone, the phone will increase in charge constantly and gradually as expected. However when the phone is charged, I have seen it drop approximately 10% of charge. I've seen this in 2 situations:
1. When I disconnect it from the charger.
2. On on instance before I disconnected it from the charger when I had left it for an overnight charge. However, according to the graph, it had dropped 10% charge from full while connected to the charger then simply gone back to 100%. When I took it off the charger it stayed at 100%.
I should not that neither situation happens all the time. But situation 1 is a bit more frequent.
This is also not a Froyo issue as I only upgraded to Froyo yesterday and it happened to me this morning, but has happened before Froyo. The Battery Graph app takes a reading every 5mins and it is within this 5min period that the charge has dropped 10% which would probably rule out most apps. And again, this can happen the instant I take it off the charger.
Any ideas???

your asking to get slapped asking this question its been discussed in so many threads lol heres the score, when charging with the phone on, when ur charge reaches 100% it then discharges to 90, it will follow this cycle untill you unplug it, this is called exercising the battery, and i assume it a preventative method to stop you damaging your battery by overcharging it
I will consider myself duly slapped for not checking it up. I normally tell other people they should have checked!

[Q] Plz Help!! Battery issue (fixed for now)

I bought G Pro day before yesterday. The device is amazing and i love it but i have got a small problem. First day i charged battery to 100% and i got a day usage with 25% of brightness set with screen on time for about a little less than 4 hours which is amazing. Yesterday i had to charge phone twice because the battery depleted within 2 hours on screen time and moderate usage like calls n text (no gaming). Today morning 80% power was left of second charge. I went to college and and did not use the phone much but battery got completely depleted within 1 hour of screen on time at 50% brightness. When i came home back i charged the phone to 100%, when i disconnected charger from phone the charge dropped immediately to 98%. After 3 mins it fell to 93% and now is depleting fast. there is no apps running in background or anything and no apps showing up in battery stats that may be depleting battery. Any solutions to this? can it be faulty battery? Plz Help!!!
Edited: viber or whatsapp was causing this battery drain. I rooted my phone n installed greenify. Hibernating all user apps fixed the battery drain. If anyone has battery drain issue may try this solution.

A weird battery problem - Instant 50%

I was on root 4.1.2 and I removed it to upgrade to 4.3
Usually I drain my battery to 10% or so and then turn off my phone to charge it to full at least once a month. This time around it was different, the moment I plug in the charger the battery charge indicator jumps to 50% or so.
I unplugged it and turned on my phone and the % on the battery was 50%.
What was also weird was that the battery lasted as would at 50%
and it has been like that ever since as long as I charge my phone when turned off.
Charging with phone on isn't a problem.

Problems with battery

Hi, I picked up my phone from repair shop a week ago and since then when my battery goes below 55% i get message that battery is 0% and phone is shutting down, and then I put it on charger and sometimes it starts recharging from 1% but sometimes from 55% and if i charge it to 60% it works normally, but when i charge it to 100% it turns off on 55%, can someone help me please is it problem in software or maybe it is problem in battery?

It sounds very much like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ttery-reporting-phone-dying-suddenly-t3095120
I replaced the battery and it's been working well for a few months now.
Battery drop from 50 % to 0 %
I had the same issue.
After force shut down (power + vol-up for 10 sec), the battery went back to normal.

EDIT :
That was a short lifesaver, battery is "fubar".
Guys , maybe there's something wrong with the battery charging in Amami . I have two Z1C, one of which normally charge up to 100 %. But the other charges the battery to 100% only in Stock 4.4.4 ... In all versions of Lollipop (stock or not) battery charges to 82% ... Calibration of the battery does not help. I replaced the battery - no change. I tried another powerful charger by Samsung - without effect. Anybody have an idea what's going on ?

Battery charge issue...

Phone was at 98% battery. Did a reboot as I do every morning, and when it started up again it showed 91% battery. I know reboots don't take 7% battery, so what gives?
My Pixel 2 XL has been having some battery reporting issues, I noticed that when I took my phone off the charger it would lose 15% very quickly then stabilize. Rebooting would also cause a drop in indicated battery %. That's my guess. Investigating to see if it can be fixed by doing a full charge/discharge cycle.

I've also been seeing this issue! I will also be letting it do a full cycle today to see if it helps since it only started a few days ago.
My battery seems to be okay but my charge port when I place the cable in it doesn't feel like it fits snugly it almost has a slight wobble to it. Have you guys been noticing that as well?
I've actually been experiencing this as well for a week, I called up Verizon and they shipped me a new phone. So far no charge issue anymore on this one.
I have experienced this too
Tested this again this morning. Had the phone charging overnight.
Unplugged it, it showed 100% battery.
Immediately rebooted, and it dropped to 96%.
With a lot of phones, battery stats reset on reboot. Also- the percentage isn't a perfect science. Just let the phone do its thing. Run the battery down and recharge it. No need to reboot the thing every day.
The battery has been great for me. I use my phone extensively throughout the day, maybe 3-5 hours on time, I always make a day of use without needing to plug in. I had a light use day yesterday, and had 30% left @ 11pm, after pulling off charge the night before @ 11:30pm.
Pleased to announce that (in my case at least) doing a full cycle reset the fuel gauge and it is now working properly. I've never seen a device come with a miscalibrated fuel gauge from the factory, so that was odd. I usually keep my li-ion powered devices between 80% and 30% SoC(state of charge) to reduce cell degradation so we'll see if the fuel gauge becomes uncalibrated over time (which would be somewhat unusual) or if this was simply a software fluke.
Yea I have noticed that in my case, my phone says 100% on the charger so I will restart the phone while still plugged up and once it's booted back up it says 98% so it lost 2% while hooked up to the charger lol. Doesn't seem to affect the battery life. I'm still able to get 5 hrs of screen on time but I will try to kill it completely and charge fully today and see if it fixes it.
This morning I didn't do the restart and didn't use the phone or even turn my screen on and within fifteen minutes I turned it on to 98 % remaining.
