[Q] Help with building cm11 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have been attempting to build cm11. I have followed the guide on the cyanogenmod site to build for d2spr. the build completed but will not boot past the splash screen. If anyone could tell me what Im missing I would greatly appreciate it. I have attached a copy of the terminal output after the build. I'm very new to linux so I really don't know what to look for. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.

I can give more info if needed. Anyone?

Help Developing ROMs?!?!?!

Hey guys! I am new to XDA Developers! Most people would have seen me over at Android Forums! I do know a lot about developing and rooting but I am trying to develop a ROM for the Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile) and when I go to install it...it says Installation Aborted!
My ROM (SpaceROM) is a port from the BulletROM! I was looking into making ROMs from port and I used a method of editing the ROM with Windows Explorer! I just extracted the ROM using WinRAR and then went into the ROM's settings and stuff...I edited the different apps that would install when first booted and the bootanimation.zip. But when I go to install it, it just keeps saying Installation aborted! I did a FULL wipe in every way I could!
Any help would greatly be appreciated!
Hope the great Devs here lend you a hand. Wish you luck. I'd love go learn ROM building.

Likely the zip file for changed in an incompatible way. The zip requirements are very strict for a ROM. Google zipping up an update on Windows. I'd offer more help, but I don't have internet right now so this is all swyped in on my phone.

CM9 build environment

Any DEVs give me some advice? I'm trying to set up my build environment for compiling CM9.. I'm following the Wiki Guide on CM's site and I'm stuck at a roadblock for pulling the proprietary files thru adb off the hercules.. problem is I can't find them or the extract-files.sh. Supposedly they are in the /android/system/device/hercules right? I'm not finding it anywhere.. Any suggestions?

Firstly, This should go in the questions sub forum, that's what its there for. Secondly, FXP has a working build for the Xperia Play. So you could use there ROM as a base. Compile everything normally and CM10 should and when you build your ROM should work with CM10 ROMs. If not, you either heavily modified the ROM and you most likely will need a custom ROM(Unlikley) or you made a mistake. Reply if you need links to the got source. Happy building!

Oh OK! Didn't see the .1. Yes get it from source and try to port? You might have to make some kernel adjustments. I recommend trying to port a similar device or ROM using 4.2. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Glad to see someone actually noticed 4.2

Seems that with the actual sources they put on github you can't achieve that,we need either fxp to push their source or to debug it ourselves, I just made a build this morning but it doesn't go past the kernel logo, and can't seem to be able to logcat, the strange thing is that adb doesn't recognize the phone but I was able to use flashtool to reboot it in flashmode via adb, any suggestions?

You may be able to port the Arc release while using a 4.1.2 kernel.

Anyone have CM10 download?

After installing CM 10.1 my phone was no longer recognized by computer when trying to program. I wanted to flash CM 10 again but the one available on get.cm doesn't work either. If anyone has CM10 that can share, it will be greatly appreciated. I have searched everywhere but all I see are links to get.cm.

Install custom ubuntu in GTAB3 P5210

Hi.
Please, sorry for my bad english.
I have a customized ubuntu based distro (with installation cd and installed and running on laptops, 32 & 64 bits) that want to install into gtab3 p5210. Gtab3 is actually rooted with recovery and android rom from DuchDanny Bindroid (great work).
I want install my ubuntu into this device
In theory is possible install a x86 distro in this device but i dont know how to modify the boot for booting from one image of the install media or if i need a custom preinstalled image of my distribution and install it from revovery, in this case think that need modify boot too for p5210 device.
Please, can anybody help me with or tell me a base guide lines to work to get this goal?
Is possible to create a finally ROM (with custom pit and boot too, i think) for this device with this custom ubuntu on it, but that i can flash it using odin?
Thank you in advance.

It is more complicated than building an image to install. An image of Ubuntu touch might be first but that is going to need to be built from source drivers kernel and all. And to be honest I have not seen any device with Ubuntu touch that was ready for daily use.
Lots more work and these are rather young devices at this time give it a while and get enough people with the right skill set interested and it will be done. My suggestion if you want this done soon a bounty or something is going to be needed.
Also at this time I would not be messing with any of the partitions as recovery is just recently functional.
Thank you very much for the answer.
