Flashed my Sprint Galaxy S3 with Wicked Sensation Rom Mk3 v.01 and then v.02, both ran fine... then I did a ##72786# the other day while at home and my S3 went nuts. Contiuously reboots and cycles all the way to the lockscreen, then reboots, and reboots... went as far as to odin flash back to stock, unrooted, but reboot issue continues. Reflashed MK3 Modem and wicked, same issue. The one time I was able to actually get into the phone settings, everything under About Device/Status stated unkown, not connected, etc... However.. whenever I leave my home, the reboot cycle stops and everything appears normal. Seems to be a radio issue, and I'm trying to isolate whether it is 4g specific... Has anyone out there experienced the same or similar issues?
Sprint Galaxy S3
Wicked Sensation Rom MK3 v.02
L710VPUCMK3
Kernal Version 3.0.31-dkp-geb5b561
Update... The issue has nothing to do with ##72786$.. I flashed Wicked 4.3 v.02 on my daughter's S3 and having the same issue when she comes into our home. It's definitely a 4G issue. Again, anybody on Wicked Sensation Ron 4.3 v.02 having radio issues????

Sounds very similar to the problem I'm having and I described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609888
I stopped the constant reboots by flashing the stock kernel bundled in the MOAR ROM but that leaves me with little to no connectivity to Sprint's tower. I do remember that the Sprint tech told me the new update was causing problems with 3G and 4G handoffs on some S3's but it continues doing it even in CDMA only mode. I've already tried flashing the stock MD4 ROM with the MD4 firmware/modem/kernel with no improvement.
I'm not having the issue in cdma only mode... In either phone... and I have learned my mother's stock S3 is getting no data signal in my home. Appears there is a tower issue in my area. Good job sprint... good job.

As Jessooca stated, if you are on an MK3 Rom. You should flash the MK3 Modem. You can find it HERE.
Yes.. original flashed mk3 modem... THEN 4.3 rom. .. pretty sure there is a tower issue in my area.

has anyone experienced the clock changing itself by going ahead an hour or two by itself. it's done that to me twice since i update to ei22, and have no idea how to fix it. it's annoying.
Works fine for me. You can go to settings, date and time, and set the time manually. I use automatic and it works fine.

What were you running prior to updating to ei22?

Clock issue from Sprint Towers
I have had this issue on and off, so it is not just you. I had it on EC05 all the way to EI22. My wife has it as well on her unmodded, unrooted, completely 100% bone factory Nexus S (in case anyone thought is was from modifications).
I think the issue comes from the Sprint towers, specifically WiMax. I only have the issue after I have been using 4g. I have not played with my wife's phone enough to test it, but called Sprint and they said something like "you aren't the first to complain, we are looking into it". The did ask me if my phone was at all modified.
I think it has a lot to do with where you are as well. I am right on the edge of a timezone (between CST and EST) and sometimes my phone hits the EST tower. If I pull the time from the tower I have this problem intermittently.
Good luck.
are u goin in and out of roam? if so might be changing something around possibly
no, i don't go in and out of roam. and i odin back to eh17, and i haven't had the problem with clock since i went back to eh17. so it has something to do with ei22. now can i use eh17 rom and flash or odin another modem? is that possible? or will there be any complications? the modem is the kernel right? (sorry, still a noob in the learning process)
by the way, i do appreciate everyones help. thankyou very much.
Modem and kernel are different beasts. Not sure if you can Odin the EH17 modem after you upgrade to EI22 and new ROM. I did run EC05 on an EF02 ROM, and EF02 modem on an EC05 ROM.
Sent from......well I would rather not say
Well if they are not compatible, what exactly would happen? Cuz the eh17 modem sucks

Eh17 modem I noticed has a lot of lag.

Hi, after I flashed the Official Skyrocket port for Hercules and the Blaze LB7 4G radio, I do not have signal. I had signal whenever I was on the ported rom, however, after reverting back to CM10, Jedi Mind Trick, and even stock rom, I do not have signal at all. Does anyone know what is going on and if there is a solution to this?

Did you reflash your usual radio after flashing back to jmt or cm10?
Try a different radio

This happened on my daughters LG Mytouch. Its a T-mobile issue. Call them and say you lost signal, they'll fix it on your end, reboot your phone, and you should be good
Well I get a signal after a fresh install of a ROM, but after a reboot, it loses signal. Is that the same Case as with your daughters phone?

No, it had CM9, then I put CM7. Nothing. Signal never showed up till I called T-Mobile.
Did you wipe system when you flashed rom? Fix permissions....and try flashing the radio a couple times. Tried other known good radios.
Other than that....try the call t-mobile suggestion.
Dis you check your apn settings

I've tried flashing other good radios but it leads me to the same problem. I guess it wouldn't hurt to call tmobile
I'm not an expert....but if u install rom and radio...I don't see how any previous roms or radios can affect your phone. but maybe im wrong. I did have to manually add my apn info flashing telus radio on jedi jelly. Maybe you have to now for some reason??

Same problm but mine didnt even workd after uvlc8
And your sure you have no signal? I only ask because you know that one the new SR JB ports like Jedi Jelly the signal bar shows that it has no signal, but in reality it has normal signal.
Mine shows no signal, but I have full signal in reality.

in reality it shows no signal and when i search and try to register on network it wont. and same happens on stock.
After doing more testing and flashing on different roms, I think the problem for me might be that I only use the GSM/2G networks rather than the WCDMA/GSM auto or 4G/HSPA+ option. After switching back to the WCDMA/GSM auto option, it seems to work and I get a signal on all roms except skyrocket ports...I wonder why it does that. This should definitely be looked into.
Skyrocket 4.12 roms work...but show no signal. It's a known issue.

I recently got a Sprint Galaxy Nexus. Worked fine before and after rootwenting. When I apply a custom ROM my 3G connection becomes useless to the point I can't even conduct a speed test. Anything and everything will load part way and then stop. LTE works with no issues whatsoever and while I am in an area with decent coverage battery life won't allow me to stay on 4G all the time.
Is there something I can flash to fix the lack of real connectivity? I went back to my rooted stock nandroid and all is fine. Its only on a custom ROM.
I have tried Paranoid Android and AOKP.
are you flashing toroplus version right?
Look at this!
Watch this video from 14min 56sec. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckSvZ_c0p0A
He is having problems with the radio too. Just check the description, there's a link to the relevant radios. Download yours, flash it via adb or msikp's ToolKit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310), and just wait for the magic to work.
Or try going back to your stock rom (with the stock radio), If you haven't made a backup of it, you can download it from the google site: https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/mysidspr-ga02-factory.tgz
Thanks for the video. I went back to stock again right after posting this and was having the same problems. My phone was using the newest GA02 radios which was not providing adequate reception so I flashed the 4.1.1 stock image. After that I installed the CM10.1 RC 2 ROM and the FH05 radios. The signal is still not as good as what I would receive on the GS3 but consistent enough for me to stream my music library on Google Play which I have discovered is frustrating to live without.

have you tried any other roms like AOKP, PA, or Sourcery to see if you get better results?
I'm running the Miui v5 rom and it works great in every way except my cellular connection is rather unstable. I have a T999L and I flashed the LTE modem after flashing this rom but it didn't seem to help.
Any advice? Thanks!
If its a rom issue, most likely you'd probably get more help posting in the thread.
Shouldve been no need to flash the modem unless you specifically did something to yours. The rom wouldn't have touched it.
You certain its not a network issue. Maybe they just started working on the tower nearby and it has nothing to do with the phone.
Call support to ask.

I can't get anything but 1x data with any cyanogen based rom. I'm on Ting service which runs on the sprint network and works with sprint phones.
Is there a setting I need to change are something else I can do to make it work
All works well with the stock based ROMs.

Seriously need guidance on this one. The only problem is getting higher data speeds. I'm stuck with 1x data. The area I live in has strong lte

Try going back to the MD4 modem
Its possible that your apns are bad. Flash back to a touchwiz rom. Update prl and profile and reinstall pacman.

OK, kind of got this figured out I think.
I do have 3g now, not sure about LTE.
I swapped back to a stock based ROM,
reprovision the phone ##72786# (WIFI off)
the phone rebooted a few times,
rebooted back to recovery,
restored back up of PAC-MAN,
Flashed file from this thread
https://help.ting.com/entries/23423026-Flashable-Zip-Fixed-LTE-eHRPD-for-CyanogenMod
cleared cached
Rebooted.
Voila... It worked..
