Updated to Latest Google Source Code Changes
I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM, EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to produce my own work of art.
Letter from Developer:
I just want to start off, by thanking all of the users who have been following and working with FactoryROM since it's recent release. As stated above, this is my first public AOSP ROM, built strictly from source and it has been quite an experience. Needless to say,
working by myself on this project was taking all of my free time, plus it started cutting into my work & family schedule (I have 3 boys ages 1 ,2 and 4). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining by any means. I love this hobby, but I have to draw a line somewhere ( I have a hard time doing that sometimes). In order to continue to do what I do best, I decided to join Team Sourcery. If you have been in the dark, Team Sourcery develops a ROM called JBSourcery. JBSourcery has been built from the ground up and offers by far, more customization options than any ROM on the forums. It is going to be my job to create a more fluid User Interface among other things. I ask that you all give Sourcery a shot.. whether you have used Sourcery in the past or not, you are going to be in for a treat in the future releases. So whats happening with FactoryROM? I will continue to update the source of FactoryROM from Google and implement any changes that may occur up stream. I will try and post a weekly update as promised. I will not be adding any more custom features from now on. I hope everyone understands my situation, and I look forward to serving you with Team Sourcery.

Much, much, more.....
This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

How is everything running for you? I don't have a Nexus S to test the ROM on, so I don't know how it runs without feedback from the users...
I might have to give this a whirl. Looks pretty damn clean, and I am looking for something other than just CM10. It has been a while since I flashed....
Screw it. Downloading now.

I will have to look into this issue.. I haven't heard any other complaints and it seems like some of the issues are device specific, where one person will have no issues and another person will.

I'm pleased to offer a new(ish) ROM. This bad boy is based off of Civato's CMFLEX ROM that he created a while back, which was based off of a build that he created for the Acer A500. Make sure you thank him as he did most of the work for this ROM. It has CM10 (JB4.1.2) courtesy of PJSPORTS. Here is a link to the A500 version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935582
This rom has also been merged with Pio_Masaki's CM10 builds to create more reliability and stability
LINK - CYANOSAKI_FLEX_2.6
DISCLAIMER: I will not be held responsible if this borks your system! Remember the risks of flashing custom ROMS!
Of course, I made some modifications for this ROM including:
- Used a modified SystemUI and framework-res to the nav icons would work
- Fixed the auto-brightness settings
- Added some goodies like the Acer Print Application as well as the Stock Asus Keyboard
- Removed some apps that won't work for us/I didn't want (pppwidget among others)
BUGS
- Face unlock does not work - files for it have been removed and it will never work on this rom
- Updating Google search will cause Google now to crash - Make sure you disable hotword detection in settings before updating.
-headset mic doesn't seem to work - there is a temp fix for that by installing an app called "soundabout"
Here is a screenie of a Quadrant score I did while OC'ed to 1.646 and forced 2d GPU rendering:

I lost superuser or something. Everything keeps getting denied. Trying to figure out how to fix.
Reflashed and all is well. The prompt for SU wouldn't come up. It's all good now Love your other ROMs. I just wish we could get this puppy(A100) to be more battery friendly. At least find a way to make the 2nd processor to shut off when we need it to. Intellidemand doesn't shut it down only make it go to the lowest frequency.

Tegra2 fails at hot plugging, if you actually enable it you lose more battery due to constantly locking up and having to reboot. Best I can suggest is the CPU sleeper script which kills cpu1 while sleeping. Its not much, but its all you can get on this platform.

As a test, try it with either my init.vangogh.rc or just the boot.img and test storage again. I've seen storage crash from bad init settings, if it works you can just use my 4.1 inits. WiFi won't work unless you move over the modules too.

Well, first of all, let's say thanks to the guy who made this amazing rom. This guy, spent who knows how many hours and days and weeks on this rom. He is the one who gave birth to this Mahdibaby. This guy is, Mahdi786!
THANK YOU!!
Now for the things you've been waiting for
(just kidding, it's legal stuff now)
Your warranty is now void
I am not responsible for bricked phones, your cat getting angry, civil war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it!
YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
Also, don't blame me or us if you end up throwing your expensive brick out the window

- Boot into Recovery
- Flash Mahdi-Rom zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
(I don't know why, but here is an alternative: HERE)
Upgrading from an earlier version:
- Copy the ROM ZIP to your SDCard (No need to wipe anything., it'll do it for you)
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash the ROM zip from SDCard
- Reboot
-Mahdi-Rom (Mahdi786) Without this amazing DEV this ROM would not have been born! Buy his beer! Not mine!! (you can buy me a soda )
-Xboxfanj for teaching me how and helping me
-Jrummy for his amazing ROM Toolbox
-Cyanogenmod
-Jonahly for offering mirroring of the ROM's
-Xboxfanj for his kernel
-Paranoid Android
-Slim ROM
-Omni ROM
-ChameleonOS

Don't really need camera since this is my secondary device just want to say thanks for all your hard work on porting ROMs for this unit since lg sucks at updating and thanks to xboxfanj for consistent kernel development quite amazing! Also does this include kernel b12 with mhl working?

I would have to disagree. That beta I downloaded for Liquid 4.4.2 with f93 kernel has been very stable and nearly bug free. The only issue I've encountered is a rare reboot. I'm hoping we'll get another release here soon since they pulled that download.

When I flashed it I kept on getting random reboots and the Animation Charging bug, random freezes and then reboots.
Mahdi has a weird bug, every now and then there's a couple taps on the screen, random places, like I'm typing and random M's show up.

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk ROM builds. This is a build derived from CM with a ton of useful features added. You get speed, ultra customization ability and later, stability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with the BeanStalk. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to @skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
The BeanStalk is always evolving, new features coming in, bugs being ironed out. It's happening right here folks.

Edit: I found two little bugs: 1) when trying to record a video, stock cam search always for autofocus, while recording, and 2) maybe there is a codec problem for .avi video play, cause it's not possible to reproduce them..fixed installing mx player from Google Play, ATM, but obviously other video players, including the one which comes with the ROM, don't reproduce this format..All the other stuff is working superbly..

@ectoplasma22 Hey mate, I need to report some bugs from an user which gave me some feedback on an Italian forum, where I made a link to your thread: he said that he tried to convert some apps in system-apps even using Titanium backup, without luck; tried installing apex launcher from play store having no success, then tried via ADB, and nothing too.. Finally, he tried to remove trebuchet from system apps, and he softbricked the tab, by making this..but I think that this last thing is not so important, if you leave trebuchet at its place XD He didn't give me any logcat, btw..

General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

Jelly bean (4.1-4.3) was last years (older) android verdion. Kit kat (4.4-4.4.2) is the newest versjon with some new features and supposedly runs better on lower end devices than ics/jb roms. What most users will actually notice about kik kat is actually the lack of features that jelly bean had. Those features are slowly being added in. All my source roms are kit kat.
Now about moving from beanstalk. I like beanstalk best so far. It has the most features of any kit kat out so far and I have almost no issues with it. Not to say this rom is not good but just not as many goodies.
Also I updated the gapps link to slims gapps download page. For this rom I suggest using the minimum package since thinking bridge does not have a dark toggle. If you use aio package your gapps will be dark (not that dark is bad).

No someone else just thought development stopped on the source. Even if that is true I will still be working with this so it WILL NOT be the last version.
