[Q] How to make Adapt Sound work with everything else ? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hello,
The equalizer and sound effect on the Note 3 are really bad. However, Adapt Sound is the one thing that I really liked.
Sadly, it only work with the stock media player. Is there a way to make it work with everything else ? For example, Spotify or Youtube ?
Thanks.

Which modifications are possible?

Hello guys, first I'm german and speak bad english
But I have a question. I want to buy a Xperia play, I currently use the W705 and it has an awesome player with clear bass etc.
I changed some things on my W705, like custom acoustics, other Display / Cam drivers...
So is it possible to mod a Xperia play in things like that? For me it's important to have a very good music player with good bass.
Or easier: Which modifications are possible?

Well if you mean audio related mods i think there's only one at the moment which is the bass enhancer

Which some people say work, others don't
IMO you should stick with the 2.3.3 firmware as the xloud was really loud without distortion and the latest firmware 2.3.4 reduces overall volume to stop the speakers from busting
Talking about music players, the stock player has louds of equaliser presets as well as a good clear sound overall, winamp pro has a built in equalizer but poweramp is the best at sound altering

[request] Audio Quality Fix during Video Recording (Auto Mic Gain Control?)

Would love for someone to be able to implement this fix either into an app or a kernel possibly. I can't stand not being able to record live music or really even anything with loud ambient noise/bass/variable sounds. The Video is pristine, the audio makes it completely unusable for anything.
I'd be willing to start a bounty for this.
I have the some problem, recording audio is useless right now!
Anyone? I need this also
if anyone knows of a way to do this, it would be awesome!

I was reading the s2 forum on this found a app called Hi-q that has a mic gain control, however its just a audio recording app. Wish there was a camcorder app that has the same function.
bump
has anything come up in the past months to improve this ? I just went to a gig yesterday and came back home with great video with farting sound
saw something about GNex Toolkit having some mods for sound but I think it only runs on Windows ? (it's an .exe file). However if it's a mod I guess the specific mod can be extracted and installed on the phone using adb or whatever..
bump again...this must be annoying a lot more people
bump, still need this
Me too.
Would be nice...
Glad to find this one - Sad that there is not really a simple solution yet... bump
i just cover the mic with my finger while recording in loud environments it works for me xD

[Q] HOX music and enhancements

Hi guys! I'm kind of a music freak. Yeah I admit...I want to have a good listening experience. There are some problems though. I would like one or more of you experts to guide me. We have "Awesome Beats" and "Noozxoide". We have some mods made originally for Sony, and so on. Today I use HTC One X endeavoru.
I wonder: what would be the easiest way to test them, and combinations of them? I've noticed that some of them aren't compatible together and sometimes it sounds just terrible. Other times the phone gets nuts and nothing works. For example: yesterday I couldn't change volume in any of my music players; if I did, it shut right down. What custom rom I use doesn't matter me very much as long as I get an overall good experience. So, my questions, and hopefully, the beginning of a usefull thread starts like this, and, thank you in advance, you are great!:fingers-crossed::
1. Optimal music player for the audiophile, and optimal for the noob who don't want to config too much.
2. Mods, combos, APK or flashable? Roms that allready have and give ultimate sound experience.
3. How to temperally disable players, mods or whatever, so that one don't interfere with the ones you want to use.
My HOX is running the latest 4.2.2 ICJ build with XMkernel. Haven't flashed any sound mods.
1)Best player for me is definitely PowerAmp. Nice clean and organised interface. However if you like tweaking then have a look at Neutron Player.
2) Not really, I just downloaded Noozxoide and run my equalising through that
3) Not really necessary except I had to disable the built in app "MusicFX" for the Noozxoide app to work.
Hope this helps!

Yes, I have the same configuration myself right now, but original kernel. Is XMkernel to prefer? Well the sound is really good and I found out that I should go to settings - apps and clear and stop players that I don't use for the moment. Can you get to configure Nooxxoide thru Poweramp or do you have to do it the long way? I have some trouble too make Noozxoide do job, I mean some features work whole for example the manual settings of the EQ

For sound quality, not really necessary. Well to get Poweramp to work with Noozoxide you have to go into Poweramp Settings - Audio - Advanced Tweaks - and uncheck "Direct Volume Control". Then disable Poweramp's EQ, tone and limit.
Beats Audio on CM
Lately I've become a fan of the beats audio that came on my HOX but i've also taken a liking to CM10 is there anyway to put beats audio and the sense music player onto CM 10?

Well, I tried that and get the EQ I want, but I can't, like in ordinary player, customize it. I havet to leave poweramp and go to the EQ. And when, like my ”awesome beats” the EQ is flashed in the system you can't reach it from ”outside". Oh yeah. I have AC!D music mod to. Also built in ICJ.

Beats audio yes, sense player no.

I've tried both Awesome Beats and Noozxoide on AOSP ROMs and quite frankly I didn't like any of them. I'm a huge audiophile myself (and a music producer) so all that did the job for me was tuning DSP equalizer myself.
Another recent thing I've tried and I quite liked the results (although, the sound is not as amped as having Beats enabled, but it got both ups and downs.. downs obviously being somewhat lower loudness, the ups being way cleaner and natural sound, and no distortions by the overamplification of having Beats enabled) is that I've simply flashed Walkman app from "SONY Xperia Z Walkman Clear Audio+, Movies Album & BE 2" which comes with mods, but I didn't flash any of the mods, just Walkman alone, and remove apk's that caused me force closes and errors.
Once Walkman app is flashed, DSP starts misbehaving, but kind of in a good way - the changes applied in Equalizer aren't as aggressive anymore and allows for much finer tuning, achieving the great sound described above, while still being able to bleed your ears with loudness.

Well, that sounds interesting! Guess I'll find the links by googeling. What rom are you on, and what player do you use? What quality do you havet on the music. I use to have flac or in worst case, 320-mp3. Often when you talk to audiophiles they try to convince you that a clean sound s Wright. For me the right thing is when the listener really enjoys the music. Personally I prefer a deep, pretty strong bass without loosing too much of the middle and high frequences. A good sound is what you think is a good sound. Thank you! Be shure I will try this out and come back with respons.

[Q] AOSP ROMs sound distortion

Hello guys! I'm experiencing sound distortion problems on every AOSP-based rom with android > 4.0 - for example GB, ICS ROMs are ok, but jelly baby/jelly mod/purekat etc. are already have such trouble.
Main problem is that after i increasing volume higher than the "safe level", the sound becomes very distorted (seems like sound pumping after very hard limiting).
I tried to disable\freeze dsp manager, apollo and all that could be causing this, but there is no effect. And yes, after deleting i got clean sound for a while, but a bit later bad sound returning, and only reboot can help for a while again. Also there is very problematic to install some things like viper4android, and poweramp native effects are working very poor (poweramp with sense roms plays pretty much better).
So there is a question - what can i do to made sound just as on the sense roms? Without some kind of sound processors? I just wanted to listen music with poweramp with it's native EQ. Hopefully experienced users of DZ still read these forums. Thanks in advance!

Question Can you improve the sound of the speakers / emulate Huawei's "Stereo+"?

Hi,
I recently got a S21 FE and while I'm pretty happy with it, I feel like the speakers are far below acceptable.
Up until now I owned an, by now 5 years old, Huawei mate 10 plus. It was a middle class phone with normal speakers - nothing fancy. However the sound quality is still much better. It got some "Stereo+" setting that only activates in landscape + certain volume but it improves it a lot.
Since there is no additional hardware build into it, it has to be done by software. Is there a way to get a similar effect on Samsung phones? I tried the build in equalizer but it didn't do much nor did it really improve things.

Whiteout root no
Could you explain why not? I do not need the exact feature, I just want a similar sound which should be possible with equalizers or something similar, or not?

Codecs , replacement and tweaks like this I know. Equaliser settings not enough https://github.com/Briclyaz/NLSound_module_QCom example
In the settings for the tone:
Switch off "Dolby Atmos"
Set the Equalizer to "Jazz"
Like this you will have a much more warm speaker sound.
Additionally you can try Poweramp Equalizer from google play store. It's got a load of features for the equalizer.
I'm using Wavelet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pittvandewitt.wavelet
It's a good alternative to Viper without root
Also jetAudio player has a lot of audio settings
jetAudio HD Music Player Plus - Apps on Google Play
Network/Cloud Streaming, Visualization, Graphic Equalizer and Sound Effects.
