latesrt firmware

I think I installed the lattest firmware,
I connect my N8 in kies and it says it is latest.
PDA:MD1 / PHONE:MC8 / CSC:MC8 (XTC)
well I accidentally installed this firmware when I got softbrick my device, because i'm looking for a way to unbick it..
but i just notice that before I installed this firmware, it recognized when I detach my s-pen and also recognized when i plug my headset..
but after installing this firmware it doesn't do that..
is it normal?

is it safe to upgrade from kies because some ppl having trouble after updating from kies..?

yeah.. i upgrade my firmware to mf2 german a week ago...
there's also mf3 available in sammobile under n5100..
