I have rooted my rogers i747m and installed [ROM] AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.1 )Task & Ktoonsez (1/13) (AT&T/Rogers) . after couple days of usage, i just noticed I do not have LTE icon anymore.. I have HSPA and 3G instead. Then I flashed [ROM][JB][4.1.1][VLDLK4] Stock SGS3 TouchWiz ROM / Rooted / Debloated (12/06/2012) I got LTE back. these too roms got huge different speed test result on same servers. Would some one tell me why?

on AOKP and CM10 roms usualy 4G is LTE i found, but when i have flashed roms in past i have had HSPA and 3G so i too would like to know if there is a modem we can flash etc..
also on rogers 1747m thanks
Make sure your APN is correct. Also, it uses Rogers #1 by default instead of Rogers LTE. So that's another thing to look into.
If both those things still don't fix it, you might have to test different modems.
Hey guys, I just got a S3 off of craigslist and have T-Mobile service but still have an AT&T ROM so mobile hotspot, nav and other features aren't working. Is there a T-Mobile RUU available or would I be better off rooting it and going with a custom ROM?
So T-Mobile Rom on an AT&T device is ok?
Like they have no problems..
Just being cautious.I'll flash and see one and update you!!

So far I've used the "SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 UNIFIED TOOLKIT V7.0" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746682) to root and install CWM recovery. From recovery I successfully flashed Jelly Beans build 15 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973982) and so far everything appears to be working well except for 4g. In the notification area I have "G" and then "3G" but no 4G even in areas where I could pick it up before flashing.
This is an AT&T S3 (i-747) and I used the i-747 image to root/ flash recovery via the toolkit and then flashed the Tmobile variant of Jelly Beans.
Figured it all out. Thanks to this thread I was able to successfully flash a T-Mobile i747 engineering rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771021) which also flashed the modem enabling TMo frequencies. Then I was able to reroot and flash a recovery meant for a t999 so in essence my phone is no longer an i747 but a t999 but with a radio that actually supports 4g/ lte. Basically what the new S3 Tmo is launching. My Jellybeans rom which was based off of a verizon build wouldn't allow 4g so I had to replace it with Darthstalker (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014442) which I haven't played around with too much yet but so far is awesome (native tethering works, one of my complaints about other roms). Ah 4G is nice, hit 12Mbps down... So long Sprint... So long Evo "4G"
thank you for the info! very helpful
What area are you, where you get those dl and up speeds? Thanks for the links!

Okay, I have a Sprint Galaxy S3 that is currently running on Android 4.2.2.
I have already installed SuperSU, ROM Manager and Cyanogenmod 10.2.
Before all of this I was running on Android 4.1.2. Now what do I do?
I want to make this phone work for Virgin Mobile. I want to make sure the 4G LTE works as well
considering VM uses Sprints tower so I'm pretty sure it is possible.
Can someone point me to the right direction on what I should do next?
Do I have to download a Virgin Mobile ROM or what?
Hi,
Ive looked into flashing an AT&T rom on my Canadian n7105 LTE Note 2. I searched the forum and some people said they have flashed it no problem. Other roms only say for n7100 only...
I am positive on my old note2 i flashed an AT&T rom. Ended up dropping and breaking the phone so i bought a new one. I don't require to have LTE but i do need 3G data connection.
Can i Flash a MI6 ROM like Hurricane Rom on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467910
Thanks
That rom is for the n7100 if you flash it you will lose phone and data and be left with just a tablet. Afaik there are no stock based 4.3 roms for the n7105. Some of the American roms work on the n7105, there is a list somewhere

Ok, so I have the AT&T i747 and I unlocked it the other day to work on the T-Mobile network. I am interested in assisting with Beta testing on a 4.3 ROM for the i747 and one of the prerequisites is to flash the 4.3 modem. My question is, do I flash the 4.3 modem for the i747 or for the T-Mobile equivalent? Also, if you wouldn't mind suggesting some other things to try as far as getting a better network and wifi signal, that would be awesome. I've tried several of the "wifi enhancement" apps and the "network enhancement" apps as well as going in and verifying the apns are set for the T-Mobile network (fast.t-mobile.com), etc.

If you are concerned with the T-Mobile network why don't you try the tread about the 1700 aws wcdma with 3g data it has a rom and stuff IIRC on page 28 designed by T-Mobile to run on an AT&T i747 it kind of converts the phone to the T999, I do know you can run T-Mobile T999 roms after that but I don't know you would be able to run 4.3?
