HI, i want to buy an Original Samsung USB cable, EXACTLY the same one that comes with the
Galaxy SII i9100
so that i can use it to root, put roms, etc.
the cable code that its in the label says
"U2 APCBU10BBE
KD1B202TS E"
anyone knows where i can buy one ONLINE (with worldwide shipping)
THX!
I guess you might have been able to do some searching in these two days and would have found some place to get the cable. In case you haven't, try Export Prive.

son, it's time to accept Google's friendship !
Am I missing something here? Why is it so important to get the original Samsung USB cable? It's just microUSB.
I didn't even bother taking the original Samsung cables out of the box since I have so many laying around. I use my cables from my previous HTC devices. I also use generic cables that I bought for spares. It all works just fine.
I rooted my SGS2 and with just a generic microUSB cable that happened to be nearby. And I charge my SGS2 with my HTC chargers.

I wonder if that is really an original cable, especially at that price. Ordered 3 anyway.
Yeah I've never bothered with specific cables before but Galaxy S2 requires a specific USB build cable. I've flashed my ass off with Galaxy S and different cables but SII would not work (properly) until I used the cable that came with it. Tried on different PC's, Mac (running Fusion), different USB cables etc... only Samsung's worked.
It might be that the length of the cable needs to be very short because SII is not powered the same way GS was powered.
thx everyone!! yup i heard in a lot of places that i must use original cables for specific
things..
google is my very best friend ... but not all does fake cables aaaaalll over google,
the easy way its not an original cable, and the hard way... well i dont undestand Z xD
and no, i dident find where to buy it yeet!, cant find it ANYWHERE!
if anyone knows where i can find an original cable (worlwide) ill be Very thankfully
Exportprive carries original samsung/anymode (samsungs partner) accessories.
FWIW I tried using an htc usb cable and it worked fine for "adb devices" and charging.

Received my original cable from Export Prive today. The cable is a U6, so the cable is slightly thicker and the microUSB connector is also slightly thicker in the plastic area. It still fits in the opening of my SGP Silke case and the cable works fine for charging and data connection.
Received the really cheap cables from ebay. Turns out that they are also original Samsung cables with the code:
S1 APCBS10BBE
FL1Z412ASB
The connectors are identical to my original U2 APCBU10BBE cable and the wiring feels slightly stiffer.
Extremely good value for $2 each! Charges fine, transfers data through USB mass storage fine as well. Will test flashing next time.

I beg to differ. Firstly, the SGSII requires a micro usb B connector. And secondly, the quality of the wire used in the cable itself can limit the charging rate. Really thin cheap cables like the retractable ones limit the charging current. And cables with poor shielding/grounding cause the touchscreen to become unresponsive and you have a higher chance of a firmware upgrade going wrong due to corrupt data.

Nope, my HDMI cables cost me $3.95 each.
For some things cheap cables will work, for others, you need proper ones.
My proper Samsung microUSB cables cost me $2 each only anyway, so what does this have to do with cheap/expensive cables? My argument is that you need quality cables. And price does not equal quality. You can get good quality items for cheap price too. Except for microSD cards.
hey sleepy cat,
the cable's you've ordered from KTS-AME, do they work with KIES and Galaxy S or SII?
I've ordered a cheap one on Amazon and KIES doesnt recognise my phone.
so if the KTS-AME one actually does the job of getting my phone back with KIES, I am going to order it for my Galaxy S I9000.

hmmmm you do know that's probably about the cost of making a real 32gb microsd card, yes?
And of course you do know that some of the "counterfeit" luxury goods like LV bags, are actual products taken from the china factory and resold cheap.
Of course, there are lots of conmen in china, but hey one may always get lucky.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good replacement micro USB cables. Mine has started to act funky and only charges correctly at a certain angle.
I know there are several cheap cables out there on Amazon and eBay but I was looking for something reliable such that if I flash through Odin or some type of future Bootloaders I do not wanna risk bricking my phone because of a bad cable.
Can anyone suggest or link me to official and not knockoff Samsung cables or some other alternative that works well. If not can on suggest a reliable Brand that I can search for.
Thanks.
Belkin make very good cables indeed. I have several; give them a shot. They're not overpriced, either.
I would stay away from the cheap ebay ones (as you said) - they don't seem to work correctly, never seem to charge/connect to my S3 properly.

my favorite cable and charger is the Amazon Kindle charger and cable. Especially the cable. I have a few of them and buy more as funds allow.
I've bought about 5 of these and they work perfect. They are very similar to the stock one from the S2. Shipping is free and was pretty fast.

I hate that Samsung Galaxy S cable. It comes off way too easy.
My favorite one is Logitech cable: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Lo...556?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336a98f674 . I have few because they come with the devices. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with HTC OEM cable. Only $1 on ebay and it works great.

This is the type of cables that I use. I bought 8 of them last year, and I have put them in my car, my wifes car, my daughters car (with cheap USB chargers of course). I put chargers on a couple of my motorcycles using them. I have a pair of bluetooth intercoms for my helmets that need micro-USB chargers for them both. I had to buy another bag of 8. I've given a couple of them away. So I have about a dozen charge connections, and only about $25.
There is no reason to pay more the $2 each for these cables. The USB works on them. They charge over USB. They charge at the high charge rate. They work correctly and they are reliable. And if one of them DOES ever fail, I won't feel bad.

Stay away from the 89c cables from Hong Kong, they are horrible quality and don't conform to USB wiring standards. I had a bad experience the other day when I tried to plug the emergency cable I keep in my bag into my S3, wouldn't go in, I thought I'd somehow bent the charging port on my S3 but really it was just the ****ty cable.
Both ports connect perfectly to cell phone and computer. - The length of the cable is the right size (90 cm), not too long and not too short. - I have been using it for some weeks and it works fine for both transferring data and recharging my phone.http://dx.com/p/usb-charging-data-cable-for-samsung-galaxy-ace-s5830-90cm-length-59092
Although monoprice are quality the cable's micro usb side(metal part) isn't as long as the Samsung cable and they don't tend to stay in as well. But it's not that bad but noticeable. I love monoprice besides shipping costs

I seem to be having issues with chargers for my phone.... What works for you guys???
I'm using a PowerGen 3AMP Charger & Motorola MicroUSB Cable... Nothing else seems to charge fast enough, and I have a bag full of 20 broken MicroUSB cables... I panic and think my MicroUSB Port on my phone is broken each time, but if I buy a new cable, things are fine. The Motorola MicroUSB cables are the most durable it seems...

Stock whatever came in the box when I got the s3. Wouldn't want to mess with any other chargers not made for my phone it could result in my battery exploding. Read somewhere using different charger can cause that.
Im in the middle of looking for a good combination. My 2yr old broke the USB cable so I've been looking for one that does the job. So far they suck.
Any inexpensive suggestion would be nice.

I'm using my Kindle charger and some random 1Amp charger I bought for like $1.60 on eBay. Nothing's exploded yet. I dunno about fast charging, I just charge mine at the end of the day and have no hurry (thus, sometimes I use the Kindle charger if I'm lazy).

I use the charger from my galaxy tab 10.1. Works great. No problems. Charges me up about twice as fast as the phone's charger will.
I bought this from ebay, and it works well - charges pretty fast. 100% in less than 2 hours I'd say.

I have bought an HTC charger before thinking it would be the same, but it's not. It charges really slow.
In short, stick w/ the Samsung charger.

Look for a charger that's rated at least 1A (1000mA) and is not from a generic manufacturer. Read: Samsung, Apple, Motorola, HTC, HP, Amazon. I personally do not like others. Watch out for fakes, esp if you buy an Apple charger.
Buy a 28/24awg or thicker micro USB cable. Monoprice (can be found on Amazon) has some and I believe Medialink cables are 24/20awg, which is even better. Remember at least 24awg on the voltage carrying lines, a lower number is better.

The problem with the cables is that they rarely specify the thickness of the cable. You pretty much have to eyeball it from the pictures.
But Great advice. Gonna keep that in mind on my next purchase

28/24 awg, gold plated connectors, ferrite cores, $1.40. Doesn't get a whole lot better than this. http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=5458&seq=1&format=2
I am looking for a really long charging cable. I know about mediabridge, however I am looking for something longer. It needs to be minimum of 8ft. It needs to be a high speed charging cable. Data is nice but not necessary. HTC's OEM cable is amazing, but I need a cable which is at least 8ft. I have looked at previous forums for this and have not found anything, that is why I am posting. PRICE IS NOT A CONCERN, I'll pay $20 for such a cable, it just needs to be good and high quality and have rapid charging. Thanks.

You really gotta search some more. Amazon has GREAT cables, but mediabridge is probably the best. I have a few of these myself. How are you saying that you need longer cables? Mediabridge has a 10ft cable and you said you only need a 8ft one? Also, rapid charging is mostly a concern of the charger itself and not the cable (unless the cable quality is absolute crap).
Yeah it may be easy to find long cables, but it's not so easy to find ones that charge as well/fast as the short, authentic HTC ones. I'd also be interested in this - did anyone already buy and experience a quickly charging, long cable?

Placebo. Wires don't charge faster or slower. You might have a better connection or so with a gold plated connector, but it's no different if the wire is from china or if it's an authentic HTC one. There is LITERALLY no difference between the original HTC wire, the mediabridge 10ft wire, 6ft wire, or the coiled 2ft wire all of which I own at least when we're talking about charging time.

There is a difference. My eBay 6ft wire charges about 3-4x slower than the authentic HTC one. 8-9hrs vs 2-3hrs is no placebo.
My bad, I should clarify. There is no difference between real, quality usb wires. Like I said, you brought a crappy cable from eBay. You can google this if you're so inclined. There's no difference between two real usb cables. Also, "real" usb cables often have the usb certification logo on them.
Tldr; buy from a reputable seller that has good reviews. Should be little to no difference in charging.
Protip: Don't buy usb cables longer than 16ft
That's better - I didn't know there was such thing as USB certification. Basically don't trust eBay unless the product is genuine/expensive. Better off going to some big-name company like best buy.
Years ago people were wholly convinced that every and all cables are the same, which is just not true. Somehow some knock-off cables have some slow charging wires or whatever. Don't know how or why, but just a warning that if you buy some random cheap cable off eBay, it might not work nearly as well as a genuine product.

Technically speaking, it all depends on the materials they used and how the wires are enclosed. I would say most of the cables you see are indeed pretty much the same, but I generally do buy things from eBay. It could've just been a fluke. I haven't had to change or buy new usb cables in a while, but in no way would I recommend getting a big-name wire like monster or whatever from your local electronics shop. Amazon should be fine if you read the reviews.
I also recommend Monoprice.com's cables. Variety of cable lengths and great customer service. No point to risk and sift through random eBay or Amazon offerings.
Monoprice 10ft 28/28AWG cable. Using the stock HTC charger. No difference in charging time.

The original cable is not unique. It's just a normal microUSB cable. There are charging-only microUSB cables (often included in external battery chargers) and there are also badly-made cables, but the One's cable is nothing special.

Like I said, placebo. All certified wires that charge + usb transfer should have very minimal differences. You either get crappy cables, or you don't. The only problem I've ever had is the connectors falling apart. Never had a usb cable that charged my phone slower using the same adapter and I've had quite a few different cables from eBay, Amazon, etc.

Better check a 5pin USB cable vs a 4pin USB cable... that's probably your problem. I got that all the time with my crappy rosewill cable once that I bought from newegg.
4pin vs 5pin makes a huge difference... especially when an OEM charger is at 2mA rating

What is the best fast-charging USB cable for nexus 5 according to your opinion?
I don't think there is necessarily a "fast charging" usb cable. Obviously cheap ass cables aren't as good as the one that came with the Nexus 5 or something more expensive. The actual charger matters much more than the usb cable. There are a few posts in here that explain why some are better than others. Good luck.
NEXUS 5
Check the charger, not the cables
The cheap cables on eBay might or might not carry the current well, more often not. The charger is more important though. The cheap ones that you see on eBay may just have an output of 0.5A which contributes to slow charging (this is the same concept for powerbanks), my suggestion is to stick to the original one.
Also, just fyi, some cables that you purchase online can only charge, but not sync/connect to another device. they're not properly wired, methinks
I am so greatful for your time spending to post an answer!
