hello. I have a galaxy 3 sgh-t999l tmobile and I have the official 4.3 rom. I am looking to lower it to 4.1.1 to unlock it using debug screen but can not get this rom 4.1.1. that I see are the sgh-T999. if anyone has an idea on this rom or another way to release will thank. thanks
Not possible. T999L was released with 4.1.2, 4.1.1 doesn't exist.
If you flash 4.1.1 for another variant, you will brick.
If you are on a regular plan, pay the bill for 2 months and then T-Mobile customer service will unlock it for you. Otherwise buy an unlock code online.

I wouldn't, I've heard mixing the Canadian and T-mobile ROMs is a one-way ticket to brick. Stick to ROMs designed specifically for the SGH-T999 (T-Mobile version).
We could port it. Why do you want that rom?

Don't mention it. I was so stupid and didn't look around before purchasing this phone.
I am a Canadian Mobilicity user, I usually buy T-Mobile phone, but this time i didn't realize Mobilicity carry GS3. With T-Mobile custom Rom there alot of junk apps. Such as T-Mobile Hot-Spot, Access T-Mobile else. Since I saw SGH-T999 and SGH-T999v are the same spec just wonder if I can load Mobilicity Rom to my T-Mobile GS3 phone. So that i can use their custom apps
You can jut copy their apps to /system/app/ and they should work.

I'm going to the states in a few weeks and thinking about buying the At&t unlocked variant to bring back with me to Canada. I figure I will save a few bucks.
Will this phone work over Bell's LTE and will it be able to update OTA's automatically.
Any insight would be great!
Its the phone that's offered here. LTE shouldn't be an issue, not sure about OTA's. Might want to flash it with your carriers firmware.

How do I unlock Mobilicity Samsung Galaxy SIII, its the SGH-T999V. I wanna switch carriers
mobilicity say they do not offer unlocking services and I do not want to pay money to untrustworthy sites.
Is there a trust worthy site i can use? or is there something i can install in TWRP or CWM? I have a rooted phone
Goto a Chinese mall and they can unlock it for around $20

thanks got it to work!
I recently acquired a t-mobile galaxy S3 (t999l)running stock 4.1.2, however my current provider is metropcs and in order to use it i have to unlock it. I currently dont have the money to pay for that so i want to downgrade it to 4.1.1 to do it for free. I was wondering how i could go about downgrading step by step. I would also like to have it rooted.
There is no 4.1.1 for t-999l.. And you don't need to unlock T-Mobile phones to use them with metroPCS.. I know because I've worked for metroPCS.. In other words, you're good to go!!

4.1.2 is all we have

I tried putting my already activated metropcs sim card in and it asked for sim unlock code. Is there anything I can do to resolve that.

What phone did you have before? Was it cdma or gsm? It shouldn't ask for one.. also is your area using cdma or gsm network?

I just bought a N7100 however it seems to be network locked.
I could not find any unlocker who would provide network unlock code for Puerto Rico - Claro branded Samsung Note 2 N7100.
My only other option is to unlock it by code however I do not know which ROM/Kernel/modem combo would allow me to use the code
*#197328640#
The one that comes with the phone is Claro stock 4.3. I rooted it and flashed several stock 4.1.2 but the option "[6] Network Lock" and " [3] Perso SHA 256 " are not availble to change.
Can anyone tell me which ROM/kernel/modem would allow me to remove the network lock? Thanks in advance.
Take a look here, is for note 3, communicate with the developer maybe is possible to try at note 2 also.

Thanks for your tip.
I tried flashing stock 4.1.1 France release but option under network lock is not present. I am gonna try other 4.1.1.
Do you happen to know specific 4.1.1 stock for n7100 that this method would work?
I still need unlocking solution and any suggestions are welcome.

I might as well switch to an iphone if this tends to recur, samsung' stupidity is infinite. HTC is horrible as well.

It has to be 4.1.1 not 4.1.2, there aren't many 4.1.1 stock roms anywhere so make sure it is 4.1.1 not 4.1.2

None of the 4.1.1 stock would give me network unlock prompt via the hiden menu.
It was also difficult finding unlocking via imei because the imei unlock coxe database was off of latin america despite the fact that Puerto Rico belong to USA.
I just found a Canadian unlocker who used USB method. He unlocked my n7100 in 30 minutes through remote access. Cost was 20 US dollars. It has been working great so far.
I thought I was gonna be stuck with a unlockable phone thats as good as a dead brick. Anyhow Thanks for your help guys.
