Changing Clock on VERIZON HTC Touch Diamond

Hello! I need help with changing the clock on my HTC Touch Diamond (VERIZON).
Okay, guys... I am SO frustrated I could absolutely SCREAM.
I've had the phone for a week, and I've spent hours, literally, trying to change the CLOCK appearance. It is currently ANALOG and has an atrocious purple background that I HATE.

I have installed some themes successfully, and everything changes but the clock! I can't get rid of that purple background, and can't change the style from Analog to FLIP, which is what I really want.
I have tried to install several clocks from the clock thread on this site, and followed the instructions to the letter - soft reset the phone and..... NOTHING. Still the same awful analog clock with the purple background.
I have also downloaded TF3D Config, hoping a new Theme will override the clock, but can't get any themes to appear in the drop down menu no matter what Path I choose (another massive source of frustration).
Sorry for the rant, but seriously, I'm about to throw this phone out the window. Part of the fun of having a phone like this is the customization features, and if I can't figure out how customize it, why bother?
I really hope someone can help with some detailed, step by step instructions or send me to a thread that has the answers. Believe me, I've literally spent hours searching this site and the rest of the web and can't find a specific answer. Maybe it's because Verizon's version hasn't been out for very long?
I'm definitely a newbie at this stuff, but I can read/follow instructions - so please, please help!!! (That's right - I'm begging! LOL...)

You have to install nissedilligaf's sprint2flipclock (search the forum) and don't forget to soft reset. That nasty ugly purple background will be removed after soft reset, then you can install any clock you want. Find any flip clock or analog and just copy it to your windows folder on your device. Don't forget to thank nisse for his work.

I wanna request an app. what it does:
You're sleeping and dreaming about your sweet girlfriend etc.
But it's to wake up. Your alarm rings, but you want some more sleep and click on snoze. The problem is, after clicking some more times on snoze you're too late, as all days There have to change something
There's a solution for your problem: PanicAlarm
a morning after you installed PanicAlarm;
You are dreaming again, and the alarm rings again. But this alarm is different, it's very annoying and it's like fire alarm. You do shaking all over your body, and want to hit the snoze button again, and enter the Paradise of Dreams; as all days. But you can't!
You have to type a token before you can snoze your device. But after you have typed over the token you are wide awake!
I hope you'd understand what i mean. in short:
after the alarm rings a window comes up. In the window is a auto-generated serial. You have to type over the serial before the alarm stops

the first row show some different designs of buttons. I'd like the last one.

Try G-Alarm by ageye, it already has that kind of functionality.

Someone could probably make this in a day! I will keep an eye on this thread as i'm currently busy on 100 Push-ups but if no one bothers then I will do it.

of course coz I'm a noob in coding i couldn't make something like this. But when someone is interested, i will make the artwork

Did u try calculation task on G-Alarm ?

Has anyone made this app or did the OP give up on the idea?
Cuz I'm bored and could probably take this on and see what I can come up with if your still interested.

So after messing around with my lock screen i found a suitable wall paper i wanted to use :

I couldn't find any solution to fixing this, i tried resizing in any way but it is just not the same because it gives a loss of quality

a better description of the problem is that when ever i resize a picture after i set it as lock screen wall paper, it appears far more zoomed and not the way i resized it

so what do you want?

oh im sorry if i wasn't clear, i want to be able to use the half headed picture again, with no loss of quality, like i said i tried everything and since it changed by it self, it must be a certain setting that changed but i looked in the settings menu everywhere and couldn't reverse it..
by the way, when i use the horizontal resizing of the Gallery, get the size i want, when i put it as a wall paper, in the lock screen it appears "zoomed" to the center and i cant see the whole picture..
i really dont know how to solve this ._.

[Q] LED Flashlight App (Metro)

I'm looking to build an flashlight app with the LED flash. I know this has been done before, but I'm planning on making the most basic, Metro-style app possible, with really well fitting icon and interface. All the other apps out there that do this are ugly or have ugly interfaces. I'm planning on putting it out for free on here, and if Microsoft accepts it, on the Marketplace.
Only problem is, I'm not sure how to active the LED flash. According to this post, it's something to do with this:

. So how do I use that to activate the flash? Having trouble figuring it out.

I know it is in the undocumented Mango APIs somewhere under System.Reflection. Somehow you capture video without really saving it (with the flash setting on).

Anyone have any more insight into this? I dont really care for any on the market they all have too much "extra" crap or terrible looking icons so I just figure I'll make what I want myself but I too need to know how to get the constant on LED. Anyone care to help?

It was discussed here a long time ago (should be in archives, available with forum search) but also take a look to the Dave's article and app http://www.daveamenta.com/2011-01/led-flashlight-for-windows-phone-7/
So, the key points are:
- you should delete recorded videos by yourself;
- to bypass marketplace validation, you should use Microsoft.Phone.Media.Extended assembly with dynamical load and dynamic function references.

[Q] What is the proper syntax for setting a calendar event in Google Now?

I know its capable since the update before last but getting it to actually work is a pain.
It will set a calendar event but it doesnt seem to get any of my date and time information. What it will do is set a calendar even for the next half hour block and then put the time/date and subject in the description.
So "Create an event for Thursday at 6 PM for a Haircut" I will end up with an event in fifteen minutes titled "thursday at 6pm for a haircut."
This seems to be the only feature in Voice Actions/Google Now that I cant seem to get to work. Everything else understands what I want wonderfully.
I did some searches but all I get back are old threads about how it wasnt supported prior to the update and/or doing it through the text trick.

First say set event for Thursday, wait for day to open and
Then say the event or type it out.
