Camera Green and Purple Line Problem - HTC One X

Who else get this problem ? I ddnt know whether this a software problem or it's hardware. Well I actually have a 'solution' to overcome this problem that's by using stability test application to heat up the phone. But it only last when the phone is hot and it really consume a lot of battery. Plus i'm a bit worry if it would damage the other hardware if i do it frequently. I've done a lot of search bout this problem. But i still didn't found the true solution. Perhaps someone could help me ? Changing the rom is definitely not the answer because i've change it to magio and viper but still the same problem. They said that maybe it could have something to do with the g sensor ? Someone have a better explanation bout this ? T.T

Does some camera from play store work or not ? Try fx camera and similar, if not it's hardware. But i am almost sure that this is hardware problem.

tried the third party apps already.still can't open it. but if it's a hardware failure, why can i still use it when i heat it up ? i've look up into some page and they said after they had changed the camera, the same problem still occur. T.T

Well it could be g sensor, but it's hardware problem for sure, it's or camera or g sensor.
Try some app from play store to see does your g sensor work.

Problem with screen calibration?

Hi All
I got my Desire yesterday and played around a bit with it. What I am noticing is that the screen seems to be a little bit uncalibrated. For example, when I want to click on App1, I am clicking on App2 which is underneath it. Seems like my click is effectively being hit on the screen lower than where I intended. Hope I made myself clear.
Can anybody tell me if this happens and if there is anyway to fix that?
Thanks

As there isnt a calibration utility on the desire i think that you may have to contact your provider or htc to find out whats wrong.
aww
provider you mean the shop I bought the phone from?

Yes or if its on a contract to a network like t-mobile you should contact them
ok thanks
Its not that bad actually, maybe I have to get used to it. Thought there was some setting to fix it. If it gets annoying will contact the shop.

It can be a bit different i felt like this when i first got my desire but i have now got used to it!
actually its not a fault in the touch screen cause everything works, its just when I have a list of apps and I want to click lets say on the third one, the fourth one gets launched, and not always happens.
As I said, maybe since I am new to it all so its maybe my fingers that have to get used to it.
I do not think its a fault with the device actually
I had exactly same problem, when I switched to FroYo no problems, so software issue
Hi Benko
thanks for the message. So I guess I will have to wait for the Froyo update, or else I have to root my device, however since I am a complete newbie, I am quite afraid to do that.
Hopefully the new 2.2 will also allow for SD card installations!
You can try the new ROM update from HTC, if you don't have it, personally haven't tried it but maybe it will help
Serch for latest official rom(I believe it is 1.21.405.2)
try calibrating the keyboard, I think it calibrates the screen for other inputs as well.
How do I know which ROM I have presently?

HTC One X Camera fault

Hi all,
first post here. I've been sucking info from this site for the past year so thank you all for all your helpful info.
I have just bought a HTC one x from a friend with a faulty camera. I was wondering if anyone has come across this fault before. when using the main camera. the screen goes green like it's crashed. all messed up. I don't think it is a hardware fault but then I haven't read this fault anywhere yet.
Yep well known issue.
Its mainly when flash is on right?
This isn't hardware I don't think mate, it is a software bug.

You mean like a disorted Display ?

No, what he means is the whole screen is green, can't see anything, which basically means the camera crashed and is either undetectable or damaged, or a kernel problem
Sent from my faster than SGS3 HOX.
yeah..i also have this pb..when I make a photo with flash everything is green..also after I make the photo also the green thing is on the screen(while I 'm in camera)...
how can i fix this pb?

Yes thats what i mean. Cant see or do anything. green crashed screen. ive flashed it back to stock and its still the same so im guessing it is damaged camera. painful as camera is on main board to cant really replace it or fix it in any way.
Has anyone else come across this problem? I'm debating weather to just sell it on ebay to recoup some of my money. its definitely not the same issue as the green kind of filter that occurs quite a lot with the camera. I posted it as i couldn't find any posts anywhere about this issue.
it s related to KERNEL.. on ICS is find..so it's a software pb.

Hey this Thread is a bit old, but maybe you're having the same problem I am:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41063671#post41063671
See if it's similar.
If it is, I replaced camera, nothing, flashed rom, nothing, not sure if hardware or software yet, but i changed HBOOT and Flashed ARHD 21.0, and NOTHING happens.. still green :\

[Q] HTC Desire HD Autofocus not working and need to replace camera

Hi everyone,
I just brought Desire HD from some one and unfortunately got the defected piece . It has camera autofocus problem. Cam focus is fixed at one point and autofocus not working at all. I tried all possibilities like reset, change of rom etc, but no luck. Now I believe its a hardware problem.
My question is that could this problem be fix after change camera module? I am planning to get camera module from ebay or from local market. Is there any possibility that the camera could be fine but problem with the board or supply of voltage etc.??
Thanks and regards,
Khurram

Serious Screen Problems

Hi guys
This is my first thread, in this forum. Personally, i've never moded my cell phone, but recently attempted to root and mod my wildfire s.
I succeeded, this forum was really helpfull!
Even before the mod, my screen was driving me crazy. In the begining it took my attempts to unlock the phone. Some other time, in the messages section, keypad would act on his own, literally Even if i typed "A" it would typed "enter" or anything else but "A". So I enabled touch trace to see what happens. Here is the thing, like i suspected, touchscreen's reactions are spoted away of the point i touch. Sometimes, two touch traces appear on the screen.. Some other times, its extremely difficult to unlock the screen, hang up the phone, or use the menu.. So that's the story. With the mod nothing changed..
Is it a hardware problem? Is it a software problem?
Thanks in advance.. :good::good:
PS: I use cyanogenmod 10
Only a couple of apps installed
PS: english is not my mother language so, maybe some unusual expressions and dictation could by used

i had this problem too:
It's not a big problem..
your hand is wet, and the screen also, but if you dry it with a polyester (of your t-shirt) it will work..
only dry the display and your hand
so..

Hi, ghost inputs is a known issue caused by the charger delivering incorrect voltage/amperes. Are you using the stock one ?

Yes im using the stock one. I ve never measured the output though.. I maybe check it tomorrow.. But the problem is constant and happening, not only when the device is plugged... The other thing is, there isnt only ghost inputs, there are freezings too. Or a thing, where ex: im trying to unlock the phone, so i slide to the side, and visually im almost unlocking it, but in real, nothing happens. Its still on lock screen.
any other?? im kinda desperate with this phone.. :crying:
Perhaps a recalibration might work.

yes, If re-calibration is not helping then you need to replace the digitizer. Am also suffering the same issue now. Just got my digitizer replaced two days before. But am still suffering from some issues regarding touch. Gonna have to recheck with the retailer

That issue applies while we try accessing the phone while it is charging , right ? I mean, the touch response will be strange while the phone is been charged. But, here the OP is having issues with the touch screen all the time (charging / not-charging) . And re-calibration didn't work too.

It will take another two days for him to find out and clarify the issue. If it is a digitizer issue or some other hardware issue, I will update the same here ASAP.

Nope, issue happens at all times due to residual current.

I thought this was the error in the first place i measured current and voltage on the output of the charger and it seems legit..
I did change the charger thoug. So i didnt know how to proceed on this one. The way im thinking of it right now, i might let the battery completely deplete and charge from the new one?

Pixel 2 XL Front camera crashing 😢

It's most likely a hardware issue. Many people are facing this. Just type in "pixel camera not working" and you'll see a lot of articles talking about it. Permanent fix is to replace camera module

I did google and saw that. I am hoping someone on here reads this and explain why freezing my phone makes the camera work
I don't know. I don't recommend doing this since the water will condense on the internal parts of the phone (warm and cold difference) and you risk shorting something out or you risk damaging the battery.
