Google Search/Now keeps crashing every time it fetches new data, it just simply crashes. This has been happening for over a month now and I've just had it. I've tried to uninstall the update and re-install it from the play store, at first it works (sometimes) then it just goes right back into crashing. I have also tried to wipe cache on the device and the app cache and data, with still no luck. It seems like it happens when it tries to insert the cards in the app right after fetching the data. I have screenshots of the crash and the crash report logs.
I have searched everywhere for an answer with 0 luck.

Have you tried stopping and clearing out the cache and data from google play/market applications
Could also try going to recovery and wiping cache and dalvik
google market still thinks you're ICS, it takes some time before it gets back in sync, try again and it should be better

some advices from another thread
more info on following link

did you recently update to jelly bean?
try to delete data and cache on all google services/apps, then log out of playstore and log in again.
Hope I helped
Edit: I went in TWRP did a full format then a full advanced wipe plus I cleared the Cache and fixed permissions before I restarted the system.
It seems that one of those steps cured my problem.
OP:
I have been running into this issue alot [with CM10 bassed roms it seems]
when I install a new rom i cant get past setting up WiFi because the keyboard force closes and pops up this error
has anyone else had this problem? I have tried to reinstall, wipe Cache/Dalvik cache, etc, but it still runs into this error on my N7.2 2013 2nd gen nexus

And lastly restored my stock kit kat backup rom and still the camera app keeps stopping
Only thing i have not done is odin to stock

Oding to stock did the trick.
EDIT: I have fixed my problem, I delete all data for the play store app, initially it still said pending but suppenly it started to update, thanks.
It crashes as soon i start it, In google play when i click update it just says pending for the last 2 day`s i have tried a reboot and removing my reinstalling my google account.
The Chrome icon has an orange padlock? on it, what is it?
edit: the orange icon is for a dual app, But i have checked and Chrome does not even show in the dual apps, I dont even have any dual apps.
I cannot uninstall it, I have tried clearing the cache.
Thanks.

This happened after changing the wallpaper, I am able to press where the button should be and also I am able to get to quick toggles when I expand it fully. Tried reboots changing wallpapers, everything but a wipe (just got the phone today and it took forever to setup)
Any ideas? Thanks!

Try clearing system cache.
Try safe mode to rule out 3rd party apps.
Were -any- updates done? Roll back to factory installed versions.
Clear data of associated apks.
Find the root cause if possible rather than a factory reset otherwise if it happens again you'll be right back to where you started.
You'll likely find it eventually... play with it.
