Best ROM on Ace II at the Moment - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the best ROM so far for Ace II for your opinion??
Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk

CyanogenMod 10.1 (4.2.2) by Team Canjica. Superb, stable, battery life is also good (16 - 24 hours in my Ace2), and most important is we can use all device's feature.
I'm also looking forward for AOSP 4.4.2 by @slv96

CM10.2 TC. Best that i'm use for now.

so what's the best? 10.1 or 10.2?
'cause I'm using JB stock now. and it's laggy. annoying.

Try them both...

You can also try this first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389395
It frees up some RAM, which helps reduce the lag.

it increases your max usable ram to 624 if you have 482. what are you talking about? :/

I have used both TeamCanjica's CM10.1 and CM10.2. Both are very good ROMs but I'm with CM10.2 now and this thing's the bomb. Especially that it's bugfree now. At least for me. My phone flies with this ROM.

thanks for suggesting.

AOKP by PolishVodka 4.2.2 \m/
Sent from my SamsungXperia Zace2 lol.

CM10.2 by TC and LiquidSmooth 2.37 which it has been updated today are the best at the moment...no way!

IMO, Slimbean by polishvodka is the best ROM.
It has every feature of CM10.2 + transparent status bar. Tiny ROM, stable, good for daily use.
It just like using cm10.2 + more feature from slimbean.
It replace Carbon ROM as the best ROM because, Carbon is not stable enough, since it not yet updated. Carbon have Halo and Ribbon + every feature from slim. Slim doesnt have halo and ribbon.
Liquidsmooth animation is annoying for me, it looks so fast, extraordinary. I tried second build, it can't have transparent status bar alpha same with lockscreen. It weird when status bar alpha is 100% but the lockscreen is not.
I forget does liquidsmooth have Halo or Ribbon.
Aokp or pac or paranoid is to much feature. And i'm not using all of the feature, so think it just wasted (IMO)
For me, the best feature are from Carbon ROM. but the best for daily use is slimbean.

This is the first time I use CyanogenMod ROM and it surprised me enough with the latest release of 4.4.2 Yes, I'm using 4.4.2 and loving the performance I'm not much of a gamer, but more of a design kind of person. I used to have MIUI ROM and have to deal with the bugs but it's smooth in anyway. Haven't tried any other version below CM11 (CM10.2/3) though ~
CM11 may not be the BEST ROM for Ace II but it's pretty awesome when I show off people about my 4.4.2 a.k.a Kitkat phone besides, I've made major changes to my homescreen and I dont want to mess with that

Yup, latest versions of CM11 are quite amazing :3
? Wysłane z Ace'a II ?

Which rom is reccommended for gaming?

Is too early at this point to say which is better or which has better features. Both are very very young projects.
Boths looks like the same features, but personally i prefer AOKP because it has the option to change the nav bar dpi (euroskank aokp), but now im using paranoid based on cm10, im not using cuz' cm10 based but the awsome PA DPI configurations.

Its depend what you really want with your GNex. Each ROM have advantage
For me stock ROM that already Custom by someone is good enough

I'm testing the same thing. I just flashed the latest aokp, now I'm on paranoid android. I much prefer the toggles in aokp (I'm in minority here I know). But aokp is not working with hide nav bar app, yet cyan and all other JB roms work fine with this. So I'm sticking with PA for now.
Aokp is missing stuff still like color multipliers etc. But they have center clock etc. Cyan is missing center clock, but has screen multipliers. Cyan also has dBm signal, but aokp does not yet. So its a tough comparison. Cyan has more features. I'm staying with paranoid just to use tablet mode for now.
Can't compare the 2 like that. Both offer different things. From my experience cm has been smoother and more fluid than aokp but aokp has a lot of customization. I'd say cm is more stable but the only person who can confirm these things is you.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
CM tends to be very stable and smooth , AOKP is great if your looking to make your phone a little more unique and personal.
I've found battery life on CM better than AOKP but over-all its down to what you want. Both work well, both work different.
Try both and make a decision

Touchwiz rom with no bloat that has navigation bar/soft keys?

Anyone know of a good stable and bloat free Touchwiz rom with navigation bar like aosp and has the back button on the left where it should be..
Or a super stable aosp / aokp rom with 4.2 jb? Currently running CM10. 1 and there is a lot of things that I use that are unstable. Or even a super stable 4.1.2 aosp/aokp rom.

T-Mobile SGS III
thank you.. i have used aokp in the past but i believe even the stable build just like cm10 has that bug where when you record video it will freeze and reboot, losing the video you were trying to record.
Was just hoping there was maybe another rom out there aosp like that doesnt have that bug.. But hey its been a while since i used aokp.. i will have to give it another go this weekend.
i could use a touchwiz rom i just need my onscreen navigation buttons the hardware buttons are lame after using softkeys for so long.
Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030473 in my resource bible I found that this ROM has the option you want.
T-Mobile SGS III

suggest me a ROM with the following

ive been using AOKP for the last 2-3 phones. love the customization but i hate the slow speed. i could just try every single rom but why not just ask the community since im sure someone knows what rom i should be looking at
can anyone suggest a rom that offers the following without compromising speed?
- center clock
- circle battery mod
- cpu clock, io scheduler and governor adjuster
- gamma and multiplier adjuster
- reboot menu
- lockscreen weather
features id prefer but could live without:
- use volume button to move cursor
- some sort of quick torch

Any rom that incorporates AOKP features has the features you listed above. Take the Pacman rom, it has PA, AOKP, and CM merged. :good:
I have JellyBeer 4.1.0 on my Galaxy Nexus -- it has the ability to do the things you have in your "must do" list. It's got a bit of 4.2.2, CM10.X and PA. I've enjoyed it so far.
Disclaimer: I am a n00b! I recently unlocked and rooted by GNex... and JellyBeer4 is my first custom ROM flashed to my phone!
What arianR10 said. Pretty much every ROM other than CM, and probably with the exception of Paranoid Android since it has tablet mode options, are almost identical with other small tweaks and enhancements. Almost any ROM you switch to, will probably feel the same and have all the same options. I personally use Carbon ROM. Its seriously the fastest, smoothest ROM I have used. some of the things you mentioned though, depends on the kernel you use and not really ROM specific.
i tried
rasbean (no options)
vanir (quick but not many options)
ak47 (seems buggy, though its new)
aospa (way too slow for me)
pac (again, too slow.. i think having pa/cm/aokp in one rom slows things down)
i think i tried a few others but no luck
ill keep rom hopping til i find one im comfortable with. thanks
It's good to see that this phone is still so well supported. lent mine with CM10 to a friend. Can't wait to get it back!
Any ROM based on Stock will be very fast. For some reason AOSP ROMs are slow.

You can try my ROM which is in my signature.. D
It's based of Stock Google's Android JB 4.2.2 (Takju)
Stock kernel, but I may change the kernel to CM's kernel, then it's possible to adjust gamma and some other things..
But my ROM doesn't have center clock yet.. I have also tried to get CM's circle battery but no luck, I always get errors.. but I have included another circle battery..
It has CM's Torch app (with widget for homescreen and for lock screen..)
Lock screen weather: (Chronus), but when I have time I try to get CM's cLock (Newer version..)
And when I have time I try to get tablet mode support for SystemUI.apk, Launcher2.apk and for framework-res.apk too..
I used to run XenonHD, it had all the features you specified and more.
Have since moved on to ParanoidAndroid though, never looked back.
i suggest you xylon rom. very good rom with lots of options to customize.

[Q] is there any good AOSP ROM fro N7100 ?

i need an AOSP rom for my n7100 and i can't choose one

For battery combined with no bugs, stability and speed I recommend thors rom, google tegraowners.net it's not on XDA. Carbonrom on here is a great rom too, I'd also combine it with thor's kernel.
Then last but not least, SlimBean rom! It's my current daily and battery with included kernel is very decent and it's the current AOSP 4.3 rom with the least bugs imo. If you really can't live with any bugs go for the 4.2.2 version.
Only bugs I have in SlimBean beta2 4.3 is graphic glitches in stock browser and gmail.. But it's absolutely doable, besides that it's ultrafast and the customisation options are sweet
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Probam is excellent..it has various features and is updated frequently (recently 4.3 was release)..I personally used it for 3 weeks and found it working smooth and lag free
Then comes resurrection and illusion rom..I haven't tried them but they were the 'rom of the week' in note2root site by zedomax

For stabile, smooth and fast rom, GB stock is faster then JB Stock rom.
GB rom for me is the best for battery time, 15% more battery on GB rom.
If you want fast and smooth rom with faster UI try CM10 or CM10.1 ~ Slim Rom, but all open source roms have some minor bugs. ( I hope in near fortune we get bug free rom).
Try MH1 + Minimal Zero, have fast UI and good battery time, but in games maybe little lag and freezing.
Sorry for my bad english.

Ya, it should come as no surprise that CM10.1 gets my vote. So incredibly fast it almost feels like I'm running a high-end device. The bugs are so minor they're almost non-existant. I do miss using Kies as Mass Storage doesn't play well with OSX for some reason but otherwise it's well worth it for me and I can use Dropbox to transfer files to my device.
Last night I flashed back to stock, didn't battery pull and full reset etc and the lag is still there for me. In fact, after using CM10.1 (and 10 before that) stock feels even slower. Cyanogenmod need to add pinch for homescreen previews but otherwise there's just no competition for me. Reflashing CM10.1 in a sec and never going back to stock again unless something goes seriously wrong.
