There clear back cases out there. However, if you are looking for TOTALLY clear, the Ringke Fusion and Spigen Ultra Hybrid have clear versions.
There's also the Poetic atmosphere,even though not totally clear, it has tpu hybrid properties as well.

Check this one out it is the one I use which is way better than any of the cheap clear TPU cases you can get on ebay that yellow very quickly and it feels great. I recommend it :good:

one thing about the cheap clear tpus is that they start turning yellowish after using it for a while mainly because of heat/oil/dirt etc... as for the hard cases dont think they'll change in color, i had the clear/black ringke fusion for my N4 and it never changed in color only got scratched up :silly: just a heads up if you're thinking of getting the ones from ebay

They arent worth it. In a week to a months time it will get dingy and yellow. Look into the one I linked to or you can buy like a bunch of clear ones to replace them as they yellow lol
I hate hard cases though. Oh well.

+1 for the Diztronic glossy clear case. It's glossy/clear on the outside and frosted on the inside so unlike some of these other ones, it shouldn't yellow over time. It also feels great in your hands and fits the N5 very nicely. See the link in my signature.

There are completely clear ones, but you shouldn't get them. All 100% clear TPU cases (cheap, expensive, generic, name brand) will start to yellow due to oxidation.
A frosted or smoke one will be the next best thing. White, Black, Gray frosted/smoke TPU cases will still be see through (just not perfectly see through) but won't yellow.
For example, this used to be a clear Diztronic TPU case.

I got a clear one for my wife's white nexus and its great. Its made by amzer and sold on amazon. I think it was like 8 bucks.

There's been report that the case does stain. Apparently you can't wear blue jeans and have the case in jean pocket.

Please do. I love the Rearth case and the fear of the staining the white paint has been preventing me from indulging a purchase. My white Cruzerlite case, and even one of those cheap eBay S-line hybrid case, was yellowing after a couple days of light handling.

Thanks for the input guys. The Ringke slim case looks nice, but it doesn't cover the whole device. It looks like the Cruzer Lite will stain apparently. I may just have to settle on another color...white looks so cool though

It's cheap, i think it has less sparkles than the ultra capsule. There's no totally white ultra hybrid.

Does anyone know of invisibleShield, Bodyguard, or Ghost Armor like protective skin that is bumper only for the S3?
I'm rocking the carbon fiber back cover, so I don't want anything on top of it. I already have Diztronic TPU case, which is great, but I want to go more minimalistic. TPU bumper makes it look geometrically funny. So I'm thinking if there could be a bumper like protective skin out there.
Any thoughts?

I use this, its a ***** to put on the side bumper skins but it works. The best skins I have ever used and the most coverage of any company and very reasonably priced.
Just be careful if you use a case over it, some cases that fit the phone very snugly might peel off the skin, but I found that if you let the skin sit for a couple of days that solves the problem.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at. Basically, I don't like cases. iPhone 3G and Galaxy S Captivate that I had were only protected by zagg invisible skin.
But on the captivate it started peeling off, so I ripped of leaving only the sides and I loved that.
I rarely drop my phone, the skin will just be protection from small bumps, e.g. keys / table.
So, about that invisible bumper skin ... anyone?

I didn't specifically say zagg in my post. It was just full body protectors in general. There are many companies that make them. Read the reviews and then choose the best one. Because as far as I know, that's the only way you're gonna find what you're looking for.

I am using the full body kit from them, excellent coverage, I think they go a bit overboard covering everything, but hey that's a good thing.
Absolutely the best skins I have used, I tried Zagg, ExtremeGuard, Bodhguardz before and they are all pretty average, stay away from Zagg altogether.

depends on what you're looking for. If you want something slim that doesn't add a lot of bulk the Cimo S line cases are good way to go but I'd only get the solid color ones like black or white unless you like the clear type. For the Guy who asked why I'm using GB, put it this way...I've already run some of the ics roms and while they're cool to me, I still prefer GB. That's just how its going to be for a while until I feel like moving on

I'm glad you like it because I did the white carbon full body from ghost armor on my white sgs2 and nearly had a heart failure when I went to pick it up 20 minutes later. Had them take it off right there and then and did the matte full body. I just thought it looked hideous. The dude thought he would get crafty and he cut a square where the "S" is on the battery cover, so it could be seen. He goes "we don't have pre cut ones like the iphone has for the apple but I thought I would try it". I nearly died.... Anyway... Glad you like it yours though.

Nice. Can't wait to get mine. Although I might be getting screwed over by the site I ordered from (it's been a week since they "shipped" it but the tracking number is still invalid)
Got mine in today and liking it very much. It feels like it adds maybe about an extra 0.5 - 1 mm vs the Diztronic. Its definitely thicker than the Diztronic but not by much. In exchange for that slight extra thickness, it feels like it would absorb a drop better than the Diztronic and the lip around the edge of the screen is also a little thicker. The buttons are also easier to press with the Incipio vs the Diztronic and the headphone cutout is a little larger also. I also prefer the soft touch paint coating of the Incipio. Both are great cases but I think the slightly better protection the Incipio offers over the Diztronic will make it the case I use on a daily basis.
Update: case is great but super sensitive around the power button I do like it tho phone feels better in hand than with generic eBay case

Yeah I bought one and it slightly covers the lens, it's not quite cut for the LS970 version around the camera. I am decidling if I should send it back and get an Otterbox instead.

I am starting to think it might be a design/manufacturing error on incipio's part. Maybe it's supposed to be for AT&T version of the phone but they use the Sprint version dimension instead, or vise versa. That would explain why it's still not showing up on incipio's website.
Anyway kratos313 how's the otterbox compare to the incipio when it comes to thickness & size?

My clever browser was trying to automatically redirect me to the Canadian site, where apparently this case does not exist. Changed to US site and it works.

Not as huge as I'd like for a case named Ballistic.
Definitely the biggest case I've seen for the N5 - but if you like Otterbox, this one looks nice.

Looks like some will be carrying around a brick in their pocket. Kinda defeats the purpose of the sleek look and feel of the N5 in my opinion, even though some do truly need the extra protection.

Yeah that's statement is very lame. But this seems to be the only type if itterbix case out at the moment. And I need a rugged case really bad.

Do not like this at all (and I love my Otterboxes). Currently I have tried the Spigens (OK build quality but none were keepers) and I'm using the Caseology which has good build quality and solves a few issues I had with the Spigens) until I find something comparable to a Defender.

As bad as it sounds this and work are the only reasons I'm looking for a rugged case. Otterbox has been my "go to" case but they're getting lazy recently with their commuter line and now not even having a case at all for the N5 is forcing my to go elsewhere.

I've owned many iBlason and Ballistic cases. In person, the Ballistic has always been nicer.
Is there a phone located somewhere in that case?

I've used several Otterbox Defenders and Ballistic cases, the Ballistic cases have consistently been higher quality and lasted much longer than any of the Otterbox Defenders. Ballistic makes excellent cases if you need that high level of protection. I don't use them anymore as I'm not climbing telephone poles and crawling under houses anymore, but I always had great experiences with them.
