I want to enter service mode in my S4 mini duos (i9192). Formely you was able to get there using dial code *#0011#, then back, enter key 1. Or code *#32489#.
It seems Samsung disabled these codes and *#0011# displays only network status for first sim.
Does anybody knows hot to get to service mode now? I need it to get some research about WB-AMR that doesn't work on my phone.
Heres screenshot of service mode.
Jarmal did you find a solution cause i am having the same on a S4 mini? cheers

Hi guys
Since I updated to 4.2.1 from 4.1.2(galaxy nexus yakju) , I cant see my sim settings , before there was an icon for sim settings in the menu.
can someone tell me if it needs to be enabled from somewhere or can be accessed ?
Edit:
I installed 4.1.2 back and I can see it, its sim toolkit , if someone can answer me it will be helpful thank you.
Are you talking about getting the settings for SIM Security..?
I found them in Settings> Security> Setup Sim Card lock.
the other Sim Settings like Call forwarding etc are accessible through Dialer's Settings.
No my friend, I have attached a screen shot the setting I am talking about.
I assume no one uses the sim toolkit to do anything.
Thank you
I have it in 4.2.1 so it must be your ROM related issue

No my sim lock isn't enabled.
Can someone with 4.2.1 stock confirm they have sim toolkit by default ?

On both gnex and nexus 4 my sim toolkit is there. Running on 4.2.1. All I did was to enable the sim lock. I read it somewhere here that it's supposed to be a security thing so if your sim lock is disabled, it won't show. Try it

Well I did what you guys suggested ,still no luck ,I just checked my friends phone who is on 4.2.1 , he has sim toolkit , but he did OTA updates , and I downloaded the ROM from google website.
I cant understand why I can see it on 4.1 but not on 4.2.1, and the ROM is also stock.
Thanks for your help guys I figured it out , you have to enable / disable the airplane mode then you can see the sim toolkit but its unusable when I click on it , it just keeps on loading. so I think there is something wrong with it in the stock rom as a lot of users have reported it.
Thanks
So I figured out the stk.apk is corrupted in the new ROM , so I want to extract the stk.apk from 4.1.2 , is there a way to do it ?
Hi i have a note 2 gt-7100 and flashed 3 different roms, but my 3G didnt work on any of them, any ideas?

check if your apn setting is correct by going to settings/more settings/mobile network/access point names. You can also get the apn setting from your mobile operator...
Try changing the network mode to wcdma only. I had the same problem.

setting - wireless(more) - mobile network - access point name - delete if any you have
then press menu and select restore to default
select back (to mobile network menu)
enable mobile data
If still doen't work
manually input 'APN' one created by restoring default, you can ask to your operator or can check any one having data connection and using same operator
If nothing works, you can always flash back to stock

Ok ill try that and tell you guys if it worked, thanks.

I got a nexus from ebay the seller was from HK, i recieved the phone and everything works except for calls/texts. The phone just doesnt get the signal on the notification bar it always has a small x showing no service. Few strange things happened when i tried experimenting. I checked out all the forums and all possible solutions with no help.
When i insert a sim card and enter a APN there is still no network but i get internet from the sim card( i am sure im not connected to wifi). I get my whatsapp msgs but as i get my msgs the signal bar still shows there is no coverage.
Also when i put phone on airplane mode, in the lockscreen it says my networks name(airtel) and when i check my status it shows that there is some signal strength but im unable to make calls or texts or use stable internet.
I tried changing the baseband, tried all the global basebands with no luck.i flashed to 4.0.4 from googles official site too.
When i search for networks manually it shows my network along with a bunch of others but when i try connecting it fails.
Im attaching few screenshots of what i explained above, please help me out.
Thanks you.

I am also having the same issue all of a sudden. For me only Vodafone sim is not working here in mumbai. Airtel is working in my gnex. So the only option for me is to port my number to airtel. You can also try using sim cards of different network provider. Also try to use cwm recovery 6.0.3.5. Because the latest cwm recovery also causes some problem with the network( thats what i read in some forum).
If you get any solution kindly share with us.

Try other sim cards of different network providers and check which one works for you. If you find a working one the only option you will have will be to port your number to that provider or buy a new Sim. I am also planning to do the same

Hello the title already explains the trouble I'm facing, my S4 MINI doesn't want to make calls, it keeps on showing that error when I try to dial a number.
I tried to Flash Kitkat 4.4.2 of I9190UBUCNH1 model, then everything went well except for the fact that I still can't make calls, I then flashed a MODEM file but of a different region XXUBMJ7, now the situation just got worse, I can't even turn on WIFI, and it also tells me that I should insert a SIM Card, which is already inserted.
Please help. Thanks in advance
*Edit I flashed the KitKat firmware again and then connections are working again but the "Not Registered to Network" error is still there, please help
