Change modem?

Im currently running the Goodness rom which is MC2 and want to go back to the MC7 modem. Can I just keep the same rom installed but flash the MC7 modem thru recovery and be good? Thanks.

Same thing happened to me. I even flashed back to stock rom and had the same issue. I ended up having to get it replaced by ATT.
