Hello everyone,
I recently flashed this rom on my Sprint GS3 (after being out of the custom rom world for a bit) and I had a few (probably noob) questions. With regard to theme-ing, after I change the color of something, is there an easy way to change it back to default or do I just have to try and hand match it as close as possible?
Also, I installed (flashed) the 4.4 AOSP launcher from myhub, but there does not seem to be any kind of settings menu for it. It defaults to only 2 pages, which isn't nearly enough to hold my apps and widgets. Is there anyway to get more screens? If not, how do I uninstall it? (In application manager, it only gives the option to turn off, not uninstall).
Sorry if the answer to these are already in the forums somewhere, but I've looked and can't seem to find anything.
Thanks,
Haven't upgraded to the latest version, but I don't *think* there's a way to revert to a "default" color.
With the launcher, you should be able to get to the settings option by hitting the menu button while on ur home Page?

Thanks, I don't think there is a way to go back to default either...and if you go to the settings for the launcher it just takes you to the Google now settings. It's really strange.

You can only create a new screen by dragging an app icon or a widget from an existing screen to the right side of that screen, the G.E.L. will then make a new screen available to place that app or widget on. Personally, Nova Launcher is a much better alternative, or Apex for that matter.

Have you tried going into the app drawer>menu>edit and dragging an icon off and replacing it?

That's how you do it for sure, but you should try while on the homescreen long pressing the old msging app and see if you can drag it to remove. Then you can drag and drop the gv app in the open spot. The stock ics launcher allows you to do it that way so you don't have to go into the app drawer and then menu then edit. I'm not sure if the TW launcher can do that though. I haven't used that launcher since GB. I'd be curious to hear if you can.
The TW launcher won't let you, I just tried it.

And ya I double checked, it is Applications > Menu > Edit
It may tell you that you need to change the app drawer to customizable grid, just click ok.
This may be a stupid question but how do you manage the screens?, I'm trying g to have just one screen and delete the rest but I can't seem to find where I would be able to do that

You mean the number of home screens? Just use Nova launcher to edit to your preference

I was thinking that, but when using the navigational bar tweak, and you press the home button in it, it switches back to the default luncher and not nova, the ROM doesn't come with a default screen manager?

Press the menu button and then Manage apps. Go to All then scroll down to Launcher and select that. Once in there go down to Clear Defaults and select that. Press the home button then you'll be prompted to choose a default launcher, choose Nova. Done. When you start with a freshly installed ROM you have a choice of the stock launcher or Nova. The stock launcher doesn't have any customization, that's what you chose

I was happy after the installation of Go Launcher, since it allowed me to put more icons on the home screen. But now I cannot lock the phone. Went into Settings.......Lock screen......Screen lock..... to set it up (works fine with the Samsung default launcher), but it will not work with the Go Launcher. What am I missing? Thanks guys
Well your first problem is that your using Go Launcher. Its a RAM hog. Try Nova launcher. Its much much lighter and is designed to run specifically with android 4.0 and up. Your issues should disappear.

Solution:
I had a similar problem when first using Go Launcher. You CAN lock the screen though, but inconveniently; not via the 'logical' TW settings route:
1.First, ensure that you have Go locker installed.
2. From the Go Launcher homescreen, select the menu.
3. Swipe across until u see Go Locker icon and select.
4.Then, press menu soft key again ( u will see go locker menu).
5.Scroll down to the security tab and you will see options for the security lock
6. (Optional) Sit back, sigh and ask yourself why the [email protected]!! they didnt integrate this app into TW more.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:good:
Hey all, it's my understanding that Halo and PIE are built to work on AOSP based roms. I would love to go back to the stability and bonus features of sense, but having to have the menu button eyesore at the bottom of most apps is a deal-breaker. Is there any possibility of getting these addons working on a sense based rom? If not, are there any apps with similar features that can be used with sense?
I would also like to add a torch option on the quick settings menu if that could be done. I realize I can download a flashlight app, but I have been spoiled with having quick access to it on iOS 7 and AOSP.
Flash bonestock. It has a torch toggle, and also go to settings, display, and check "longpress home for menu"

Floating Notifications is an app that is as close as you can get to Halo. There is a free trial period for about 30 days.
As far as pie control, I think there is a launcher called LMT Launcher in the play store that has a pie-like fixture.

LMT launcher works, but it's not in the play store. it's on XDA though. just search for it.
pie control (which is in the play store) works as well, just not as neat as LMT.
sometimes, though, with LMT, it takes a few tries to get an app to start. it's annoying. if pie control showed the time and other notifications like LMT does, it'd be so much better.
Both of these look good. Do they allow you to disable the stock menu button?

My bad. It know it was included in a rom I was using at some point (can't remember which one) and it had been floating around in my TiB for a while now. I assumed it was available in play store as well.

Do you mean the three dots button? You can install a custom rom to do that or xposed has several modules that let you do that. Try Sense 5 Toolbox module.

there are no 3 dots on bottom of screen on my ROM.
technically yes, they can be ported, for example IHTFP69 ported HALO to TW on Samsung. No one said it could be done, he is a genius.
Try my ROM out, if you don't like it, try another.

I just finished downloading your rom and making a nandroid backup. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for all the suggestions! I've been trying to hold off until 4.3 but with the recent delay it's just not worth waiting anymore.

It will be at least another month maybe 2 before we see 4.3

I am loving the rom so far, but I have two questions. The menu bar is gone almost everywhere, but it's still present in dolphin browser. Is there any way to fix that? It doesn't show at all on AOSP. LMT launcher is every bit as good as pie and the menu button being there prevents it from working properly.
I also don't seem to have a torch/flashlight widget in the quick settings. There is an app though which I can make work for me if there's no way to get it in quick settings. Just a minor personal preference.

I got the menu bar removed by changing a setting under display and gestures. It has the unfortunate side effect of making a long press on the home key open the menu as well, but it's still better than the always-present menu button.

I tried the other method on xda and notice that Google now was freezing up on voice command. Here is the method that got it fully working on my Verizon Galaxy Note 3
1. Download and extract the two files.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/j8h0siy229ixsni/4.4 launcher.zip
2. Install both apk files
3. Enjoy
Update: If you are having trouble getting the "Ok Google" voice activation to work, here is something to try.
1. In the Google launcher, go into settings > voice > offline speech recognition.
It may say there are no language packages installed, but in reality, it just needs to be updated. It seems to be buggy, but this is how I got it updated.
2. Select the "all" tab.
3. Install the English (us) package if it will let you.
If it doesn't, download English (UK), select the "installed" tab, and the us package should now show up as installed. To make sure the English (us) is updated, simply uninstall and download it again.
Once this is updated, you should be able to press the home button and see "OK Google" in the Google now search bar. Hope this helps!

If you move an icon or widget to the next screen, it will add a screen. To have additional screens, you have to have something on it. If they are blank, they are deleted.

I certainly see this being a love/hate thing. I like more control of my launcher, so I am sticking with Nova. I do like the swipe to Google Now and the "Ok Google" options, though. I setup a gesture in Nova for Google Now, but don't know of any solutions for the "Ok Google" option. I would LOVE to be able to get the "Ok Google" to work with the phone on or off.
I like this launcher, it does run very smooth but I ended up going back to Nova. I like a little more customization with my launcher and Nova Prime gives me everything I could need and more. It is still a nice launcher though, to bad it doesn't have some more options.
Love it. Had some problems with it crashing or google search crashing randomly so I tried some of the version on the market which are quite good. Some little stability fixes for devices and such but for the most part 100% AOSP.
I was able to install this on my note 3, but I wasn't able to install the 2nd APK. Also, the notification bubbles no longer show up on my email, messages, Facebook, etc..... Does anyone know what could be wrong? I am not rooted.
Notification bubbles are a touchwiz feature that's why they don't show up
